In June 1227, before Genghis Khan died of illness, he dragged his weak body and secretly ordered his sons Tuolei and Wokoutai to call him into his big tent, and issued a very cruel order, which was also Genghis Khan's last words on the Western Xia issue, which roughly included two points: one was to execute the Western Xia emperor Li Xiàn, who was coming to surrender; the other was to kill all men, women and children after attacking the Western Xia capital Zhongxing Province (present-day Yinchuan, Ningxia).
At this time, Genghis Khan was already terminally ill, and he looked in the direction of Zhongxing Province and said with hatred: If I don't have a chance to see all this, you will tell me loudly every time before dinner that the Western Xia people have been exterminated, and Genghis Khan has destroyed his species!
Why did Genghis Khan have to destroy the Western Xia? In his last words, three truths were revealed, which were very cruel. To understand these three truths, we have to start with the process of Genghis Khan's hatred of The Western Xia:

From beginning to end, Genghis Khan did not think of eliminating the Western Xia, which was entirely a consequence of the Western Xia's lack of honesty.
In the winter of 1209 AD, after several tentative attacks on Western Xia, Genghis Khan finally conquered Western Xia and submitted to him, which also brought a long period of peace to Western Xia, and for 10 years, Genghis Khan never used troops to Western Xia.
However, the Western Xia surrendered to Genghis Khan not out of sincerity, and by 1219, the Western Xia's dissatisfaction with Genghis Khan began to show. In this year, Genghis Khan gave everything he had to conquer Huarazm in the west, but the Western Xia, as a vassal state, did not obey the command of Genghis Khan and refused to send troops according to Genghis Khan's order to send 20,000 troops.
Even if you don't support it, what makes Genghis Khan thunderous is that the rulers of Western Xia actually mocked Genghis Khan, thinking that since he did not have the ability, he should not be called Khan.
After offending Genghis Khan, Western Xia immediately defected to the Jin Dynasty.
Genghis Khan wanted others to be loyal to him, and he naturally hated the dishonest dynasty of the Western Xia.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="22" > the second truth: The Western Xia Emperor did not respect Genghis Khan. </h1>
In 1225, after Genghis Khan returned from the Western Expedition, after only a year of rest, he decided to conquer Western Xia, and in two years, Genghis Khan captured most of the cities in Western Xia and besieged the Western Xia capital City of Xingfu again.
At this time, the last emperor of Western Xia, Li Xi, had recently ascended the throne, but this emperor was still indecisive and could not come up with an effective way to deal with Genghis Khan, so he thought for a long time, and after consulting with the ministers for a while, finally agreed to surrender to Genghis Khan.
Genghis Khan was a man of great skill, and when he saw that Li Hao was willing to surrender, he immediately ordered him to come to see him.
This was supposed to be a chance for Western Xia to survive, but Li Hao was too hesitant, and he actually asked Genghis Khan to wait for him for a month, on the grounds that he wanted to prepare gifts.
Such a push-off made Genghis Khan greatly dissatisfied, and felt that Li Hao did not respect him, so he secretly confessed to his two sons to completely eliminate Western Xia.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="23" > the third truth: to destroy the Golden State. </h1>
The purpose of Genghis Khan's attack on Western Xia was to destroy the Jin Kingdom, which had a bloody vendetta against him. Unfortunately, Xixia failed to discern Genghis Khan's true purpose.
Due to the very important geographical location of Western Xia, after Genghis Khan controlled Western Xia, he was able to divide his troops into multiple routes and drive straight into the territory of the Jin Dynasty. Therefore, there were actually only two ways to go in Western Xia, one was to surrender to Genghis Khan wholeheartedly and become his vassal, and the other was to be destroyed by Genghis Khan and cede the country to the Mongols.
However, on the issue of surrender, the Western Xia rebelled, making Genghis Khan feel that it was an untrustworthy country, so he ordered his sons to eliminate it.
Genghis Khan's last words pointed the way for his sons, and later, after the destruction of Western Xia, his son Wokoutai took only 7 years to wipe out the Jin Dynasty.
