Even Francis did not suddenly change his gray life because of his trip and the purchase of a big house.
In the end, all her wishes were fulfilled in the same way she had originally envisioned them. It was someone else's wedding, someone else's child, someone else's family, that helped her fulfill her wishes.
But it was the happiness of others that led her out of the darkness and regained her own happiness.
