Its intention is mainly to prepare for the survey of seabed hot water deposits in the waters of the Diaoyu Dao in 2015, in a vain attempt to encroach on the Diaoyu Islands and challenge China's maritime sovereignty in the western Pacific Ocean.
In fact, there is such a little-known history, China and Japan have almost met each other because of the Diaoyu Islands. In 1990, in the face of japanese harassment in the waters around the Diaoyu Islands, the Taiwan military formulated the "Hanjiang Plan" and decided to seize the Diaoyu Islands by force and swear sovereignty.
At the beginning of the formulation of the "Hanjiang Plan", it was huge and the deployment of each link was detailed, but before it could be implemented, it died in the cradle. So, what is the content of the "Hanjiang Plan"? Why didn't it really execute in the end?

In the face of such harassment, Taiwan's "president" Lee Teng-hui at the time not only did not take the first countermeasures, but instead prepared to abandon the R17 naval joint training target area of the Taiwan military, which is very important to Taiwan, located off the coast of Suzhou and Macao.
In the eyes of everyone, Lee Teng-hui's move undoubtedly transferred the control of the sea and air in the relevant waters of the western Pacific To Japan. For a time, the sound of fishing was high.
In the face of the pressure of public opinion, Taiwan has to pay attention to it. Therefore, the Taiwan military took action at the first time and began to formulate a plan to send troops to forcibly board the Diaoyu Islands and demolish all the Japanese buildings on the islands, so as to swear the ownership of the Diaoyu Islands to the world.
At the beginning, the Taiwan military named this plan the "HanJiang Plan," but because "Han" is homophonous with "Han," it is extremely easy for the unsuspecting masses to misunderstand it as part of the "Han Guang Exercise." But later, because the plan was not successfully implemented, in order to reduce military sensitivity, the Taiwan military really renamed it the "Hanjiang Plan."
In this way, the "Hanjiang Plan" began. In order to ensure the privacy of the entire plan, the Taiwan government's protection department also set up an independent response team according to the authorization of the administrative authority, and put the then "chief executive" Hao Bocun responsible for the formulation, preparation and implementation of the entire military plan.
In this way, Hao Bocun's actions became more convenient, and he immediately jumped over the "Minister of National Defense" and the "Chief of General Staff" and directly telegraphed the "Ministry of National Defense" Intelligence Staff Deputy Chief's Office and the Operations Staff Deputy Chief's Office, requesting the immediate implementation of this plan.
Soon after, Guan Zhide, commander of the 45th Company of the 4th Battalion of infantry of the Independent 62nd Brigade of the Taiwan Army, suddenly received a very special order from the "Ministry of National Defense": they were required to strengthen their training and be ready for landing at any time. This simple command reveals an extraordinary meaning.
First, the order did not specify a specific landing site; secondly, it was an order issued directly by the "Ministry of Defense", which crossed countless levels and units in the middle, and just after this order was issued, the 45th Company was transferred to the direct jurisdiction of the "Ministry of Defense".
Not only that, as a company commander, Guan Zhide also received special requirements: he must keep strict secrets from the top to the bottom, lead the company to complete the transfer at the first time, and ensure isolation from other troops; during this time, all the soldiers of the 45 Company must be restricted from communicating with the outside world, and they must be fully armed at any time, even if they eat, bathe, and go to the toilet.
In this way, 45 consecutive moments disappeared into the sight of the outside world like human evaporation.
In addition, in order to cooperate with the operation of the 45th Company, the Marine Corps Special Service team has actually been fully prepared.
According to a retired military officer:
"Under normal circumstances, there are three types of air special operations, the first is the smooth return after completing the task; the second is that the landing troops on the island cannot be successfully returned; the last type is that the landing troops cannot return smoothly, at this time, the sea and land special service team needs to support from the sea, and even in extreme cases, it is necessary to use the night and dawn time to carry out air cover.
Therefore, the Land and Sea Special Forces are equally crucial in this plan. ”
Throughout the preparation of the program, the Army's 26 UH-IH helicopters have been on standby, 4 of which have been parked in the Soviet-Australian Sino-Zheng military port, and the pilots will practice taking off and landing every night. In order to simulate the combat environment, the cabin of the aircraft is full of sandbags to simulate the full state of the aircraft.
In addition, these aircraft are not allowed to turn on the night navigation lights during the flight. There are a large number of high-light stands in the military port and the container yard of the port area, and the pilots must also ensure that they avoid all obstacles with the assistance of no night navigation lights, which is as difficult as can be imagined.
It is reported that at that time, many combat ships of the Taiwan Navy also formed a combat formation and looked forward to the relevant waters, and also sent an LST tank landing ship to cruise in this area and act as a combat outpost.

I believe that to this day, any soldier who participated in the "Hanjiang Plan" still remembers the bits and pieces that happened in those days.

When the fighters were selected, all the only children in the family or the married were directly excluded. All the soldiers involved in the plan had already held the mentality of seeing death as a homecoming, and even during that time, greeting each other said "loyal martyrs' shrine".
In 2006, Liu Qinghe, a retired non-commissioned officer at the Taiwan Army Airborne Special Operations Command, recalled the details before the operation:
"At that time, according to the battalion commander, in fact, we did not plan to occupy the Diaoyu Islands, and the fundamental purpose of this plan was only to clear the Japanese buildings on the island. After the chief executive Hao Bocun completed the task, all the people who received the order were fully prepared for sacrifice, and everyone even prepared the suicide note. ”
In fact, after October 31 of that year, all the members of the 45th Company began to train in helicopters.
In order to strengthen confidentiality, all personnel involved in the battle must discard all epaulettes, name tags and other items that can be identified, and even the guns used must be destroyed, so that if something really happens, the Taiwan authorities have reason to deny this force to the outside world.
However, although the superior did not directly point out the specific purpose of the mission, everyone directly used the Diaoyu Islands as a simulated terrain for training on weekdays, coupled with the high atmosphere of "fishing protection" in the outside world at that time, needless to say, everyone knew a little bit in their hearts, and they all knew the danger of this operation.
In such a tragic atmosphere, the officials who supervised the training from the side moved their compassion and secretly gave the team members oil pens, asking them to write their names on the inside of their clothes, so that even if the body was shattered by artillery fire, they could know who the body was.
In addition, all the soldiers involved in the battle left a suicide note before the operation, and each cut off a nail for the commander to keep for him. If in the end these soldiers do die on the battlefield, then their fingernails will be enshrined in the Martyrs' Shrine instead of ashes.
During that time, all officers and men were only responsible for training soldiers, and other preparations for combat had special departments responsible for preparation, and everyone performed their duties and did not ask each other about the content of each other's tasks, and they achieved the ultimate effect of secrecy.
"I was in the camp and I was in charge of all the ammunition. So during that time, I spent almost all of my time sorting out my ammunition and didn't have any helpers. The battalion commander asked me to sort out all the latest ammunition, especially the American-made ammunition, because when the soldiers were fighting, they used American-made ammunition, so it was not easy to jam. Liu Qinghe said so.
Liu Qinghe also told a story in this interview that the outside world has never known:
"At that time, I heard the governor say that the Diaoyu Islands were only 102 nautical miles away from Keelung. Before the implementation of the plan, not only Taiwan's submarines had already sailed into the vicinity for surveillance, but even the Chinese military had heard about it and sent warships to embolden us. If the plan is really implemented that year, it may not be successful! ”
<h1 class = "pgc-h-arrow-right" > one person obstructed and planned to die</h1>
In the early morning of November 5, 1990, under the order of the "Chief Executive" Hao Bo village, the soldiers of the 45th Company each carried 120 rounds of ammunition, 4 grenades and some explosives, and quietly set off in 8 helicopters under the canopy of the cage in the night. Their demand for this trip was to destroy all Japanese buildings on the island within a quarter of an hour and swear sovereignty over the Diaoyu Islands.
At this moment, the combat fleet received an order at sea, requiring all soldiers to return to the same place immediately, and the mission was canceled. After returning to the training base, all the weapons and equipment on the soldiers were taken away for a while, and a confidentiality agreement was signed on the spot. The "Hanjiang Project" died in the cradle at the last moment before the operation.
After the mission, the soldiers returned to their usual military training, and until they retired, no one knew the root cause of the sudden termination of the plan.
It was not until later, in an interview with Hong Kong's Asia Weekly, that the truth was first revealed: It was Lee Teng-hui who called at the last moment to stop this action.
At that time, as the leader of the Taiwan region, Lee Teng-hui and Hao Bocun, who was the "chief executive" at the time, always had different opinions on the issue of occupying the Diaoyu Islands and swearing an oath of state sovereignty.
Hao Bocun held that in order to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, it was extremely important to seize the island by force; however, Lee Teng-hui held that just by virtue of the strength of the Taiwan army at that time, it would not be able to defeat Japan at all.
Therefore, on the morning of November 5, 1990, Lee Teng-hui took the rare initiative to call "Chief Executive" Hao Bocun and demanded in the strongest tone that the battle plan be stopped. Not a battlefield! After this phone call, it marked the helpless death of the "Hanjiang Plan" carefully planned by Taiwan's defense department.
A few years after the incident, Yang Li, the then chief counselor of the 45th Company, mentioned this plan to the people around him after he was discharged from the army, and everyone did not believe it. After a long time, even he began to doubt the authenticity of this matter, thinking that his memory was confused.
It was not until more than ten years later, when he was interviewed by a military reporter, that he brought up this matter again, and the reporter learned about it and searched around for evidence, and it was confirmed.
Yang Li also revealed to the outside world that the consequences of the "Hanjiang Plan" were actually very serious. Because of this plan, Lee Teng-hui had too much dissatisfaction with Hao Bo Village, and it was precisely because Hao Bo Village directly crossed the level to command the army, which made Lee Teng Hui determined that hao Bo Village was bound to exclude Hao Bo Village from the army.
