Located in the town of Chuchuanhe on the west side of Riyue Mountain in Qinghai Province, the Inverted River stretches from Riyue Mountain in the east to Qinghai Lake in the west, with a vein of clear water flowing quietly, quietly and gently, meandering for more than 40 kilometers. No gushing, no smell, like a rainbow in the rain, like a flowing galaxy in the night sky, clear and indifferent, transparent and crystalline, trickling long, this is the inverted river, a river flowing from east to west. Of course, we can literally see that unlike other rivers, this river flows backwards.
It is said that when Tang Taizong married Princess Wencheng to Tibet on the way through the Sun Moon Mountain, she carried the treasure mirror, climbed the peak and looked east, did not see the hometown of Chang'an, sorrow from the heart, the treasure mirror slid down and fell to the ground, divided into two, one is the Sun Mountain, one is the Moon Mountain, the sun and the moon shine together, illuminating the journey to the west.
Close to a mountain, it became the last thought of Princess Wencheng, east of the sun and the moon, it is said that Princess Wencheng married Tubo Songzan Gampo in order to promote the relationship between the Tibetan and Chinese ethnic groups and promote cultural exchanges. After arriving at the Sun Moon Mountain, looking back at Chang'an, looking west into the desolation, thinking of his hometown, thinking of his parents, mourning incessantly, weeping westward, the tears of the princess converged into this backward river, west of the Sun Moon Mountain, what was circulating among the Tibetans was another myth: the Dragon King sent his four sons and daughters to build four rivers in the north, south, east and west, and when the youngest daughter built the West Sea, it needed 108 rivers, she found 107 rivers, and the last river could not be found. The clever and cunning little dragon girl led a river upside down from the Sun Moon Mountain, and this river is the famous backward river.
Although it is said that when Princess Wencheng entered Tibet, she missed her hometown, thought of her homeland, and knew that she would never return, but she still moved forward without hesitation, and after arriving in Tubo, Songzan Gampo was also very fond of Princess Wencheng and was named Jia Mu Sa (in Tibetan, "Jia" means "Han", "Mu" means "female", and "Sa" means immortal). The rank is equivalent to queen.
