Because of this obsession, in 2018, he resolutely returned to his hometown, starting from the traditional craft of producing Hakka rice wine, and exploring and practicing the dream of rural industrial development. Today we go together to learn about the story of Wang Zuohua, a "new farmer" in Pingshang Village, Jiaoyang Town, who returned to his hometown to start a business.

On June 22, the reporter drove to the Pingzheng Distillery in Pingshang Village, Jiaoyang Town, only to see that the huge wine tanks were placed in the courtyard, and the rows of wine tanks in the storage room were filled with rice wine, and the rich aroma of wine filled the air, mellow and long, and the fragrance was overflowing. This is where wang Zuohua, a new farmer who returned to his hometown, was launched.

In our rural areas, there are still many industries, which can be planted, raised, and processed... But after measuring the overall situation of our family, I still think that making wine is more suitable for me, so when I came back, I started with the wine industry.
However, the start of the "wine industry" was not smooth, because, for a long time, Hakka rice wine has existed in a self-sufficient way for farmers, and in the hearts of local villagers, the industrialization of Hakka rice wine is almost impossible.

Villagers have reported that there is no way to transport this wine, and it is difficult to solve this problem of ensuring quality. So for the first three years, I was doing tests, that is, sending the wine we made to all parts of the country, and after three years of testing, we found some problems, and it is true that some wine will break, but there is a reason for this. This wine is canned and transported, and the craftsmanship is indeed exquisite, rather than being casually made and can be transported. After three years of testing, we felt that there was nothing wrong with all aspects of technology, so we decided to get a certificate and make wine in a standard way.
The long-standing puzzle was solved. In 2018, Wang Zuohua was selected for the Lin Wenjing Charity Foundation's Sons of the Earth: Rural Development Leaders Support Program. With the support and help of the foundation, Wang Zuohua returned to his hometown to establish the Pingzheng Distillery in Shanghang County, registered the Hakka boxing trademark, and used the traditional habit of hakka "no punching, not being happy" as the meaning to create a Hakka rice wine brand, spread the Hakka rice wine culture, healthy drinking concept, and also convey the purity and enthusiasm of the Hakka.
This year is the third year of official production, that is, the current sales channels of our wine are mainly gifts and corporate customization in large companies, and our main positioning is in these two markets... After three years of development, we can now say that we are our main business, because we are now developing steadily, including the large order docking of enterprises this year.
With the gradual and stable development of his first industry in his hometown, Wang Zuohua opened the "part-time road" of organic agriculture and explored the "three-dimensional breeding mode of rice and duck" suitable for the local ecological environment. Weeding through the field stocking of ducks, black light physical way to remove insects, the whole process does not apply chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and does not use herbicides. At the same time, the mountain spring water is watered, and a chicken shed and duck house are built on the mountain, and sheep manure is used as fertilizer to form an ecological circular agriculture of rice and duck mode.
When we first started planting, even my parents didn't believe it, because their philosophy had always been that our traditional rice, less than one spray of pesticides, would be infested with insects, and it would almost face a harvest failure. ...... After two years of experimentation, now not only my family, but all the villagers are looking at it, and they all believe and agree that this way is feasible.
After two years of testing, this year, Wang Zuohua launched a pre-sale through the Internet and successfully recognized 3 of the 4 mu of ecological rice he only planted.
If the number of orders will become larger and larger in the future, then we hope that our side is a demonstration site, and we can drive farmers to follow our way to make this kind of rice field.
The aroma of Hakka rice wine is wafting, and ecological agriculture casts dreams. Over the past few years, Wang Zuohua has not forgotten his original intention of starting a business, actively run, and mobilized village sages to organize the establishment of the "Pingge AiXiang Association", and worked with everyone to raise funds to build basketball courts, build wells and water caves, plant village trees, and enhance the appearance of the village and the spiritual and cultural life of the villagers. At the same time, on the basis of his original industry, he built a rural sustainable development public space that integrates agricultural product exhibition halls, libraries, conference rooms and homestays - Dadi Station, hoping that through his own efforts, he will pave a way home for young people who go out to work, so that Pingshang will become the hometown in the ideal ecological dream.
In my opinion, it is relatively easy to make the industry "small and beautiful" in the countryside, so we have been exploring the second industry and the third industry since this year, including our ecological rice fields. In the future, we want to dock more local (resources), tap and cultivate local high-quality agricultural resources, and connect it out, and we also hope to say that through this way, we can gradually affect more young people to return to their hometowns.
