Donghou Rivero is located 5.8 kilometers southeast of the Management Committee of the Gaoya Reservoir Area. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, the Liu clan moved from Hongdong County in Shanxi to Maju Ridge and the west bank of the Wen River and li village, and it is said that a phoenix flew up from Qi Village and flew to the village to play a whirlpool, so it was named Heye Village. A small river meanders through the village, called Qianheye in Henan and Houheye in Hebei, gradually becoming two natural villages. In 1960, the Gaoya Reservoir was completed to store water, and most of the former and later Kono were moved to the current Kono Village; some moved to the east of the Wen River and the west side of Paoma ridge, so it was named Dong Kono, which was divided into 2 villages, namely Donghou Kono Village and Dongqian Kono Village. The original site of the village is bordered by Xianyue Lake to the west, Paoma ridge to the east, Dongqianhan to the north, and Dongqian Kono Village to the south. In 2019, under the support of the state's policy on the project of avoiding dangers and alleviating difficulties for migrants in the reservoir area, the whole village was relocated to the site of the reservoir area management committee. At present, there are 213 people and 12 party members in Donghou Kono Village.
The rural economy is mainly based on agricultural planting, the main crops are wheat, corn and miscellaneous grains, and later with the continuous development of agriculture, the planting of cash crops has been expanding day by day, mainly peanuts, sweet potatoes, potatoes, taro, etc., and the peasants' economic income has gradually increased.
Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, village-level education was mainly based on joint private schools. After the founding of New China, village-level education gradually emerged, and at the end of the 1950s, literacy classes were established in the village, which were later jointly organized with neighboring villages and developed into a complete primary school, which was later merged into Dongqianhan Primary School.
The party branch of Donghou Kono Village, Liu Hanwei served as the secretary of the branch. The party branch led all the villagers to focus on "production and development, affluent life, civilized village style, neat and tidy villages, and democratic management" as the goal.
