Remember the 91-year-old Pu hero Huang Xi, who participated in the "two bombs and one satellite" study, and reported to the country

In August 1949, he joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and later fought in the Battle of Dongshan Island to defend New China.

From October 1958 to May 1982, he participated in dozens of nuclear test missions and was a first-hand witness to China's first atomic, hydrogen and strategic missile nuclear weapons tests.

In his twilight years, when he returned to his hometown of Putian to buy tombstones for his parents, he wrote on the back of the checkout invoice: "Rong Matu repays the country, and disarms and accompanies his parents." ”

……

He is a 60-year-old "two bombs and one star" hero and Malan entrepreneurial elder generation Huang Xi, born in December 1928 in Dongli Lane, Yinglong Community, Zhenhai Street, Licheng District, and now lives in Anhai Town, Jinjiang City. When the representative of the Putian Huang tao Ancestral Committee visited him in April this year, he learned that this old man with a back on his back was an anonymous hero and a "pride of his hometown."

On the occasion of the "August 1st" Founding Day, this reporter specially went to Jinjiang to visit Huang Xi, who is 91 years old this year.

Remember the 91-year-old Pu hero Huang Xi, who participated in the "two bombs and one satellite" study, and reported to the country

A recent photo of 91-year-old Huang Xi.

Walking into Huang Xi's home, the reporter saw that although the ninety-year-old hero was old, he was still in good spirits under the careful care of his daughters.

In the living room, the large cabinet is filled with medallions, old photographs, etc. Among them, the commemorative plaque engraved with "Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Successful Testing of China's First Atomic Bomb" is particularly eye-catching. There is also a precious group photo in the cabinet: in October 1966, Marshal Nie Rongzhen received all the scientific researchers of the China Nuclear Test Base Research Institute, and Huang Xi stood in the middle of the fourth row.

Huang Xi's daughters Huang Wei and Huang Danxiang looked at the photo and said that their father was doing an amazing career when he was young, but as a daughter, he never knew it. My mother died last year, and when the family sorted out the relics, they found these precious photos, medals, awards, good news, etc. They recently took photo remakes and hung them on the wall, remembering their father's glorious years of outstanding contributions to building a strong new China.

"Do earth-shattering things, do anonymity and bury celebrities." Stepping into Huang Xi's bedroom, the first thing that catches your eye is the line hanging on the wall. The walls full of awards, good news and various old photos are the epitome of his lifelong struggle for the motherland. At the top is a certificate written in Chinese and Uyghur, as if to tell how Huang Xi and his comrades-in-arms fought the cold and heat in a harsh environment, and made every mission perfect. A yellowed good news reads: "Comrade Huang Xi made active efforts in the execution of his tasks in 1964, struggled hard, was heroic and tenacious, and achieved remarkable results. Having been approved to be awarded the second class merit, this is not only an individual honor, but also a glory for the whole family, but also a glory for the whole army. Hereby announces the good news to huang Xi's family. "The payment was made on October 16, 1964, the day when china's first atomic bomb was successfully detonated. In November 1966, he was awarded the third class meritorious service again for his successful participation in the research and test of missile nuclear weapons.

"We only learned about this glorious history last year, and mom and dad never told us about these things." Huang Xi's youngest daughter, Huang Ruonan, took out an honorary certificate, a meritorious service certificate, an engineer's certificate, an officer's identity card, and a party fee card from a bag, saying that this was the precious "property" passed down from her father to her family. The reporter learned from the reporter that Huang Xi won the second class merit once, the third class merit 5 times, the whole army general order commendation once, the five good cadres once, and the advanced worker once, a total of 9 meritorious awards, of which 7 times were obtained in the China Nuclear Test Force.

This is a true hero who does not forget his original intention and keeps his mission in mind!

"I study atomic bombs." In a mobile phone video opened by Huang Wei, the elderly Huang Xi answered the questions of his family in a sonorous and powerful manner, which made people moved.

In Dongli Lane, a 700-year-old Huang Tao Ancestral Hall is located in it, which is the ancestral shrine of the Huang clan and a provincial cultural relics protection unit, where Huang Xi lived when he was a child. In August 1949, at the age of 21, Huang Xi took a pen from putian Private Tonqing Middle School with a pen from Rong, and later won the third class merit in the Battle of Dongshan Island. Because of his outstanding performance, he was sent to the Chinese People's Liberation Army Chemical Warfare School to study, and after graduating from university in March 1956, he went to work in the anti-chemical warfare military teaching battalion of the Shenyang Military Region. In 1958, he was selected and transferred to China's first batch of national defense science and technology workers for nuclear test research, and followed the troops into Lop Nur in Xinjiang, becoming the first generation of nuclear testers in the republic.

In 1960, Huang Xi was selected to study at the Harbin Military Engineering College for 3 years. In 1963, he served as the head of the engineering team of the China Nuclear Test Base Research Institute, and under the leadership of General Zhang Aiping, the commander-in-chief of the "two bombs and one satellite", he participated in the research and test work of atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs and missiles. Since then, he has strictly abided by the state secrecy regulations, "do not tell his parents, do not tell his wife and children", take root in the desert, work for 25 years, and write the "Malan Spirit" on the vast Gobi Desert.

When they first arrived at the nuclear test base, the Malan base, for seven or eight months, Huang Xi and his comrades could only sleep in tents and cellars. In the deserted Gobi Desert, the surface temperature of the mid-summer is 60 degrees Celsius, and the soles of the rubber shoes are burned and deformed; the temperature in the harsh winter plummets to minus 40 degrees Celsius, dripping water into ice, and the breath into frost; when the wind is strong, the sand is flying and the stone is flying, and the sky is dark. Gusts of wind blow in the sand, and the food often eats half rice and half sand. Due to the harsh living conditions, Huang Xi's stomach perforation was bleeding heavily, and he had to surgically remove four-fifths of his stomach. After the operation, the doctor told him to rest for a while, but when his condition improved slightly, he went into research again.

The second research laboratory of the China Nuclear Test Base Research Institute, where Huang Xi works, is the most core technical team. The first deployment of the atomic bomb test equipment was completed by the laboratory. On October 16, 1964, when China's first atomic bomb exploded, Huang Xi and his comrades charged forward, risking their lives and rushing into the explosion zone for the first time to take samples and record data.

Recalling the situation at that time, Huang Xi seemed very excited.

In the past nuclear tests, the research laboratory has won more than 80 national and ministerial scientific and technological achievement awards, and has been awarded the honorary title of "CourageousLy Climbing the Peak of Science and Technology Research Room" by the Central Military Commission.

The heroes of the times are always awe-inspiring.

During Huang Xi's time in the Gobi Desert and his involvement in the study of China's first atomic bomb, no one in his hometown knew where he was or what he was doing.

Huang Zhangkun, head of the management committee of Huang Tao Temple and a 78-year-old retired university teacher, said: "Before, I only heard that my neighbor Huang Xi went to serve as a soldier, who knew that he actually participated in the research of the atomic bomb. This is really the pride of the people of my hometown. ”

"My father never mentioned the deeds of that year to us, and when we compiled his information, we learned that in order to study China's first atomic bomb, my father did not return home for 5 years, and when my grandparents died, I could not come back to see the last side." Sister Huang Wei told reporters that when they were children, their father was just a very distant, strange but very glorious synonym for them. In the vague impression, they only knew that their father was the People's Liberation Army, carrying out missions in distant places. Every year during the Spring Festival, the family must post the Spring Festival of "Glorious Home" and "One Person Joining the Army, The Whole Family Is Glorious".

The thing is whisked away, and the merit and name are hidden deeply. Put on the uniform to defend the country, take off the uniform to build the country.

In 1982, Huang Xi, then the first deputy director of the Second Research Office of the China Nuclear Test Base Research Institute, regretted his 33-year military career, transferred from the army to Jinjiang, and chose to work in the Science and Technology Commission. As a national defense science and technology engineer, he believes that only by giving full play to the strengths of what he has learned can he better serve local construction by engaging in scientific and technological research.

Although Huang Xi works in Jinjiang, he loves his hometown very much. Every winter solstice after his career change, he would return to Putian to pay homage to his parents and visit his sister. He saw that the Huang Tao Temple was somewhat dilapidated, so he donated money to repair it. Huang Guohua, a municipal cultural scholar, told reporters that since 1984, Huang Xi has often donated to support the construction of his hometown, and has donated more than 100,000 yuan so far. This kind of nostalgia is touching.

The glory days will never fade. The daughters were initially unaware of the donations. They said: "Although the family has gradually become richer from the reform and opening up, my father's life is still simple, and these donations are saved by him little by little." My father has always maintained a hard-working style. In the old photos taken by the troops, he is dressed in a military uniform, and there are two large patches on his pants, which are very conspicuous. ”

In March, CCTV's eight-part premiere TV series "There's a Place Called Malan" tells the story of What happened in Malan during the atomic bomb tests in the early 1960s. Huang Xi's daughters and sons-in-law said that after watching this TV series, they felt the patriotic feelings of the older generation who worked hard and selflessly to study China's first atomic bomb, and they also seemed to see their father's former figure, deeply moved, and tearful. His father always used the "Malan spirit" to spur himself on, and also used this spirit to educate the younger generations and let the red gene be better passed on. During the interview, Pan Jiasheng, the great-grandson of 6-year-old Huang Xi, proudly said: "My grandfather's name is Huang Xi, he is a researcher of atomic bombs, and I will grow up to be a hero like him!" ”

Mo Dao is nameless, the human heart is famous.

"For the sake of the motherland's nuclear cause, a group of talented and flourishing scientific and technological talents, willing to sacrifice their family happiness, have lived in two places for decades, gathered Lop Nur from all directions, studied atomic bombs, and made great contributions to the cause of China's nuclear weapons. We deserve to remember forever. Huang Wei said that looking back on her father's past glory years, she hopes that the younger generation can remember the life of silent dedication of the older generation, carry forward the spirit of patriotic dedication and scientific innovation, and strive to realize the Chinese dream.

Nowadays, "Rong Ma Tu Repays the Country" has become Huang Xi's family training, carved in stone and erected in front of the gate.
