On July 29, under the witness of Fu Gangfeng, director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party group of COSCO SHIPPING Group, Han Jun, general assistant of the group and chairman and secretary of the party committee of COSCO SHIPPING Logistics, Li Yanhong, chairman and CEO of Baidu, and Wang Haifeng, CTO of Baidu, Jiang Kai, general manager of COSCO SHIPPING Logistics, and Yang Zhaoming, vice president of Baidu Intelligent Cloud, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Baidu at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on behalf of COSCO SHIPPING Logistics.

This strategic cooperation with Baidu is another major measure for COSCO SHIPPING Group to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions of "central enterprises should bravely shoulder heavy burdens, dare to take the lead, and be brave enough to be the 'source of original technology' and the 'chain leader' of modern industrial chains", innovate the development model, and promote digital transformation.

According to the agreement

The two parties will set up a digital platform company to build an industrial intelligent acceleration engine with the rich business scenarios of COSCO SHIPPING Logistics, combined with Baidu's powerful computing service capabilities and rich intelligent products.

Previously, COSCO SHIPPING Logistics and Baidu launched business cooperation to jointly build the "Far Sea Pass" intelligent customs platform, which won the Industrial Intelligence Pioneer Case Award at the 2021 Intelligent Economy Summit Forum for its outstanding performance.

It is believed that the cooperation between the two leading enterprises will certainly make outstanding contributions to promoting the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of China's logistics industry.
