【Korean Drama Official Announcement】The tvN TV series "Twenty-Five Twenty-One", which has already officially started filming, has finally officially announced the starring lineup! Kim Tae-ri, Nam Joo-hyuk, Bao Na, Choi Hyun-wook and Lee Joo-myung form a 5-person group of beautiful young actors. The series is another collaboration between director Jeong Ji-hyun and screenwriter Kwon Doo-eun of "Please Enter Search Terms WWW" and is expected to air in the first half of 2022.
Set in 1998 during the IMF's foreign exchange crisis, Twenty-Five Twenty-One depicts the youthful love story of a man and a woman who met in a chaotic era. From the 22 and 18 years old who first called each other's names, to the 23 and 19 years old who gave each other a wound, to the 24 and 20 years old who were interdependent, to the 25 and 21 years old who fell in love unconsciously.
This is a pure and intense growth record of immature young people, the deranged heartbeat between friendship and love that stimulates chemistry, and it will be a work that reminds you of the memories of youth that shine forever somewhere in your heart.
In the drama, Nam Joo-hyuk plays the role of "Bai Yizhen", the eldest male in the family who has stubbornly grown from a stormy and fragmented family to a sports journalist. In the play, Bai Yizhen makes a living by delivering newspapers and renting a bookstore to make a living, and is the so-called fallen young master. He became a TV reporter at the age of 23 and met the gold medal winner "Luo Xidao" (played by Kim Tae-ri) in the Asian Games fencing competition.
Kim Tae-ri plays the role of "Luo XiDao", who suddenly became the representative of the fencing country because the IMF never had a team in the high school fencing department, and changed from a fencing prodigy to a gold medalist with 40 million black powder.
