Li Fu: Collecting books from Jiangnan, printed and scattered (part 2) by Wei Li

author:Zhi Lan Zhai

Regarding the status of Li Fu's collection, because there is no bibliography handed down, it is difficult to know the details today, and Ye Changchi combined Li Fu with Zheng Jie and Liu Junchuan into one poem in the "Chronicle of The Book Collection":

Drumming row ya flower shop, breaking into the literary style of the old Yu Yu.

Why should the master push the book, trivial Changying twenty cooks.

Ye Changchi mentioned in his poem notes that some of the books that Li Fu had scattered were obtained by Zheng Jie, but he only cited the Yuan carved copy of the book "Yanzi", and for the further situation of Li Fu's collection, the article "Li Fu and His Collection" listed as follows: "How many books Li Fu collected in his lifetime, there is no examination, and history records that when he was involved in litigation, the books were scattered, but the rare books he left behind to this day are not less than those of Lin Yao, who was his contemporary, and the books he collected at that time should not be less than Lin Yao. Unlike Lin Yao, most of the books he collected were collected by the bibliophiles of the predecessors in other provinces, which contributed to the addition of more rare books in Fujian. These books are: Ming Jiajing 4th year (1525) inscribed "New Preface" 10 volumes, Ming Jiajingjian inscribed "Quanshu Yiwenzhi" 14 volumes, continuation 56 volumes (missing volumes 20 to 31), Ming Wanli 3rd year (1575) engraving "Hongwu Zhengyun" 16 volumes, Ming Wanli 23rd year (1595) engraving "Shang Shu Diary" 16 volumes, Ming Wanli inscribed "Tan Bow Return Notes" 3 volumes, Ming Neifu inscribed "Ten Complete Books" 10 volumes, Ming Chongzhen Ji Gu Ge Ben "Jiao's Yilin" 4 volumes, Jingqian Song Jiading 14 years Xu Xing inscription " There are more than 10 kinds of people, including the six volumes of fuzhai yishu. ”

Returning to his hometown, Li Fu died in the ninth year of Qianlong at the age of 84. In his time, he was a man of long life, who was able to pass through those tribulations and still be able to die well, which shows the broadness of his mind. Although his tomb was destroyed, fortunately, some remains remain to this day. Mao Yinyun's "Historical Sites in Fuqing" wrote: "Li Fu's tomb is located next to the Xi'an Reservoir in Anqian Village, Sanshan Town, Fuqing City, and the tomb is composed of triad soil, with a 'phoenix' shape on the plane, facing northeast. The tomb has been damaged after the founding of New China. According to the recollection of the local elderly, the burial chamber was opened that year, and the burial items in the tomb were divided on the spot, including gold and silver, jade and a small amount of porcelain, and are now missing. ”

Wipe Li Fu's epitaph

On April 9, 2019, through the arrangement of Professor Lin Yi of the Party School of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, we went to visit Li Fu's tomb, accompanied by Professor Lin Xing of the school. We drove from Fuzhou to Fuqing and first went to Xili Natural Village, Dongpu Village, Sanshan Town, to see the Li Ancestral Hall. Previously, Teacher Lin Yi had already made contact with Ms. Zhou Mei, a cadre of the Propaganda Department of Fuqing City, so when we arrived at the ancestral hall, Zhou Mei had already made corresponding contacts with the relevant people in the village, and after Zhou Mei's introduction, we met a number of Li Fu's descendants at the entrance of the ancestral hall, because the number of people was too large, and it was too late to write down their names for a while.

Painted details

From the outside, the Lee Ancestral Hall is newly restored, the paintings on the roof ridge are quite bright, and the patterns on it are also delicately painted. Walking into the ancestral hall, the people first moved out a carved stone, and they told me that it was Li Fu's epitaph. The inscription of this epitaph is different from other places, and I feel more like a stele, but on the forehead of the carved stone is engraved with a seal book: "Emperor Qing's seal was given to Tongfeng Dafu Chongqi Township Xianfengpo Li Gongkai".

The shape of the epitaph

There is a biography of Li Fu on it

Because the handwriting of the epitaph inscription is small, someone immediately brought a bucket of water and wiped the stele with a rag, and the handwriting on it immediately appeared, and the text below the epitaph introduced Li Fu's life. After reading the epitaph, I visited the ancestral hall again, but from the situation inside, the architectural layout of this ancestral hall is quite similar to the large hall in the township decades ago. Because the front of the ancestral hall is not the ancestral tablet, but there is a stage with a large area, and many murals are also painted in the ancestral hall, and these patterns are quite festive. Although the ancestral hall is a reinforced concrete building, the columns inside have also been painted red, looking like the top beams and pillars in ancient buildings, and some of the pillars are written with couplets, such as: Chengzun Ancestral Training Ren Yi ZhiXin Article Hua Guo Heng Yu Hou Kang; Jianji Chu Tong Zhongxiao Xiaoxian Liang HongCai Shu Rui Cheng Zhen Xiang. Such a sentence is thought to be the original sentence on the pillar of the ancestral hall in that year.

Carrying a whole bundle of firecrackers

After visiting the ancestral hall, everyone went to Li Fu's tomb together, and there were originally many cars parked at the entrance of the ancestral hall, and everyone got on the bus one after another, so why so many people accompanied me was quite surprised. Several elderly people in the township explained to Lin Yi, and then Lin Yi translated these dialects and told me that today was just in time for Li Fu's descendants to give Li Fu a grave, so they invited us to go with us. Of course, I was very excited to have such a coincidence, so I followed the long motorcade out of the village, less than two kilometers ahead, and the motorcade stopped at the side of the road. As far as the eye can see, this area is a hilly area with a wide view, but there are some trees sporadically growing on these hills. After everyone got out of the car, they carried boxes of items into the field, Lin Yi asked about the situation, and then told me that they were carrying firecrackers, as well as offerings and mineral water.

Villagers said they had never known what the tree was called

It was originally called Coix

The three of us also followed the team into the field, and in the distance, there were several tall trees at the other end of the field, and I wanted to come there where Li Fu's tomb was located. Halfway through, I came across a mound with a diameter of two meters high, which I felt should be an ancient tomb with a cluster of green plants growing on the top. This plant has some strange fruits, this fruit looks a bit like a fig, but it is much larger than the fig, and the leaves are different from the fig, so I asked the old man in the village for the name of this tree, and several people came around and said that this plant has grown here for many years, and no one in the village knows what kind of tree it is. Lin Xing used his mobile phone to take a picture and identify it, but after taking a few shots, there were several different results. Lin Xing sent the photos out on WeChat, and then she told me that the name of this tree was Xue Li, and this tree was also known as cool powder, wood lotus and so on. Everyone questioned the accuracy of this result, and Lin Xing told the crowd unhurriedly: I am asking about my husband, and he is studying botany and working in the relevant departments. What she said made everyone question.

Li Fu's tomb is a small reservoir

After figuring out the name of the tree, the crowd continued to move forward, walked to the top of the hill and went down, not far ahead, they saw the restored tomb of Li Fu, in front of this tomb is a small reservoir, from the perspective of feng shui, the water on the back of the mountain back of Li Fu's tomb can be described as excellent. The people took me to the reservoir and saw that there were stone statues standing in the water, and they said that there were still some stone statues here, but they had been stolen a few years ago, and the way the other party stole them was to send a crane to operate. Since then, the people in the village have paid much attention to this, and what they said about this matter was also recorded by Mao Yinyun in his "Historical Sites and Fuqing": "The stones on the tomb, including tombstones, tombstones and stone offering tables, were carried to build a reservoir. At present, only the three-earth frame of the tomb remains, the tomb is overgrown with weeds, and the tomb is also reclaimed as farmland. 50 meters in front of the tomb was originally the tomb passage of the great tomb, which was later built into a reservoir. At the time of the cultural relics census in April 2010, there were still 2 statues of Shi Wengzhong (1 statue of Wen and 1 statue of Wu) in the reservoir, about 2.5 meters high, 2 statues of stone horses (one of which fell to the ground), and 1 statue of Shi Hu, about 1.2 meters high. In February 2013, military attaché Shi Wengzhong was stolen. ”

The villagers identified the remaining Shi Wengzhong to me

Mao Yinyun's text is also accompanied by corresponding photos, one of which is a military attaché Shi Wengzhong in the water, and now I see that there is no trace of this object, but the stone horse in the water is still standing there, and behind this horse stands a statue of Shi Wengzhong, but his lower body has been submerged in the water.

Cannons rang out

In the process of our visit to the reservoir, Li Fu's descendants unwrapped boxes of firecrackers, and then unfolded them one by one, looking far away, as if pulling up a red ribbon in front of Li Fu's tomb. Come to think of it, every firecracker has as many as ten thousand rings. I stood by and waited to see the rare ancestor worship ceremony, but the way they operated was much simpler than I thought, because they did not perform collective worship, but let several of the young people light firecrackers, and soon the firecrackers in front of Li Fu's tomb sounded in unison, which looked very spectacular.

Restored tomb of Li Fu

After the firecrackers were fired, the smoke gradually cleared, the wide field returned to its former calm, and my hearing gradually recovered. Later, I saw Li's descendants gathered around the flat ground in front of Li Fu's tomb, only to see them carry boxes of food, and at the same time take out several aluminum pots, pour some food into the basin, including fat meat, clams, clams, and some cut bread, and then take out some disposable wooden chopsticks, and everyone picked up the food in the basin and stuffed it into the bread. It's a lot like a sandwich or a hot dog, and it's a bit like the donkey meat fire that's popular in the north, but it's the first time I've seen seafood in bread. I originally thought that the food brought by these should be first offered to Li Fu and then eaten after a collective worship, but now the descendants of the Li clan seem to no longer care about these red tape, and they eat and chat. Although I couldn't understand their dialect, I could feel them chatting happily from the face, and that moment reminded me of the famous line in the movie "Shaolin Temple": Wine and meat pass through the intestines, and the Buddha's heart remains. I think this kind of behavior of Lee's descendants is quite commendable: the form is not important, what is important is that the ancestors will always stay in their hearts.

Meat sandwich bun that I eat

Because we are guests, so there are several Lee descendants after sandwiching food and handed it over, I can't adapt to the bread sandwich seafood for a while, although I have not eaten the bread sandwich fat meat, but at least I can imagine it as a meat sandwich bun, but the thick fat stomach makes me worry that my blood lipids will rise, so I have repeatedly humbled the meat sandwich bun that was handed over. And Lin Yi told me that I must eat it on this occasion, so I carried forward the great senseless spirit and tried to swallow this strange food in one bite to express my respect for Li Fu, and my behavior was also praised by Li's descendants.

Take a photo with an old play

After worshipping Li Fu's tomb, follow the motorcade back to the village, several elderly people in the village took me to visit the ruins of Li Fu's former residence, Ms. Zhou Mei introduced that now the village has moved to the side, and the original village has basically been abandoned, she took us on foot into the old village, where we saw a large number of collapsed houses. When I walked to Courtyard 19 in Siri, one of the women said excitedly that this was their family's old home, so I asked her to stand in front of the old house and take a picture. Through the lens, I saw her smile, which made me appreciate that the old houses look beautiful, but in terms of living comfort, there is still no new home that makes people feel convenient.

The village chief gave a briefing

Many of the houses in the old village are made of irregular stones, which looks quite picturesque. I sighed with Teacher Lin Yi that if these old houses can be transformed into ancient village houses, I think there will be many people in the city who come here for leisure and vacation. Ms. Zhou Mei said that such a transformation will involve some property rights issues, which are not easy to solve. The village chief who went with him explained that it was better to renovate the old house than to directly build a new house. It seems that there are many problems that seem simple, and if you want to make more changes, you still need a top-level design.

The original site of Li Fu's former residence

Passing through the old village, we came to the other side of the village, which was a few acres of open space with miscellaneous trees, and the village chief explained that this was the site of Li Fu's former residence. As I approached, I could see some of the ruins and broken walls made of stone blocks, and I looked around the open space, but I could no longer see the original shape of the old house.

A small temple in the old village

On the way back, I saw a small temple, and the village chief introduced that it was also an illegal building. I saw some cement pillars next to the small temple, and it seems that this place still wants to be further expanded.

After visiting the ruins of Li Fu's former residence, I said goodbye to everyone, thanked them for their warm reception, and also thanked Ms. Zhou Mei for her thoughtful arrangements, and then drove on the road. On the way back, we saw a newly built temple in the middle of the mountain, so we decided to visit it to see if it was related to Li Fu.

Li Fu: Collecting books from Jiangnan, printed and scattered (part 2) by Wei Li

The appearance of Lushan Temple is quite similar to that of the Lee Clan Ancestral Hall

When I got closer, I saw that the appearance of this temple was quite similar to that of Li Fu Ancestral Hall, and the words "Lushan Temple" were engraved on the lintel. Li Fu is a deer mountain, and I don't know if this number is related to the temple. But the Qianlong edition of the Chronicle of Fuqing County contains Li Fu's father's kindness:

Lee Il-seok... Ciri people. Sexually willful, willing to give. Yiwen Temple Xuegong Yuan, Nichiren donated funds to repair, the temple door wall, Hong Chonghuan. The Qisheng Ancestral Hall and the Minglun Hall were held at the same time. Fuxin famous eunuchs, xiangxian ancestral hall, Jianxingxian, Yangshengfang, Fei 3,000 wonders. In addition, there is Wenchang Pavilion in the east of the first floor of the province, which has been invaded by the people for a long time, redeemed by the sun, and built a carved wall, which is a spectacular city. At the noon of the Kangxi Dynasty, the gentleman of Yi asked Li Xian to worship the Ancestral Hall of the Xiangxian, and later gave the second son Fu Gui to the senior doctor. The third son, a national student, is born at home and is filial piety. The strange shape of the rebuilt Lushan Temple stele

Li Riyi donated money to build so many public welfare buildings, but this article did not mention that he built Lushan Temple, and the gate of this temple is closed, we can not go inside to see if there is a corresponding introduction text, but lushan Temple lintel next to the house number, it is written "Chengbian Village Xi'an No. 80." In the open space next to the temple, there is a monument to the reconstruction of Lushan Temple, and there is a square hole in the middle of the two stele, which is thought to have been used for him. I searched above, but I could not find Li Fu's name, it seems that the temple was rebuilt eighteen years after Jiaqing, from the time calculation, the temple has nothing to do with Li Fu, but why is he called Lushan, this matter can only wait to find further historical materials and then solve it.
