In recent years, under the guidance and support and encouragement of the relevant competent departments of the state, provinces and municipalities, Chengdu's public welfare charity undertakings have effectively coordinated the public welfare charity resources from government departments, charitable organizations, foundations, social organizations, enterprises, universities and volunteers, etc., gathered a strong synergy, and invested in various fields such as special assistance, poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, and community construction, gradually shaping and polishing the public welfare charity brand of Chengdu". When the field of urban renewal meets charity, the charity scene of the Shengyang community shows different vitality.
As a former community office area located on the outskirts of Jianyang City, the original community office area was idle after the merger of village residences, and in June 2021, coinciding with the opportunity of the charity scene in Chengdu, this idle gray space was lit up again.
At the beginning of the project, the community invited a variety of groups to participate in the discussion:

Discussion after discussion has brought new possibilities to this space little by little. After the collection of opinions from many parties, the repeated communication between The Shengyang community and the Jiancheng street and the project planning team (Wutong) finally put forward the system design, space renewal, and activity creation as the main line, and the main idea of "friendly and open, all-age sharing", and in terms of function, the functions of love station, gathering space, beautiful exchange workshop, social work service station and so on were implanted, so that residents of all ages and multi-subjects could find and feel comfortable here.
With the advancement of the project, the management system, organizational structure and volunteer team construction plan of the community charity scene (workstation) have gradually taken shape, and the original stiff and heavy wall has been demolished to form an outdoor friendly corridor, and a large area of color painting has created a warm and bright sensory experience. A series of activities with distinct themes unite the love bridges of residents, enterprises and volunteers, and convey the common concern and love between people. In this way, the old space is lit up little by little.

A charity scene that can be felt, experienced and passed on is gradually taking shape in the Sheng Yang community.
In the future, the community will further link social resources, build community public welfare funds, urban and rural volunteer love workstations, etc., gradually expand the influence of the charity community and the integration of resources, guide the general public to be positive and good, and create a friendly and inclusive social atmosphere.
