In the second year of enrollment, Lu Gengzhi has changed from a guitar rookie to a second prize winner in the campus guitar competition. After graduation, Lu Gengzhi entered a design institute in Beijing and became an architectural designer.

Of course, there was more than one such blow, but Lu Gengzhi still did not give up. He took up the guitar and became a "wandering singer", he did odd jobs, he worked hard to write songs, he found a vocal teacher to prescribe the right medicine, and began to study pharyngeal singing...
Many years later, Lu Gengzhi said that he had studied "dog barking" for singing for half a year, which was the process of practicing pharyngeal singing. In 1998, Lu Gengzhi returned to his alma mater to hold the Tsinghua Happy Garden concert.

But who would have thought at the time that the names of these three seniors would be closely related to a well-known Chinese music group "Mizuki Nianhua" in the future.
After graduation, Li Jian went to work at the Film and Television Network Center of the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television. And Lu Gengji, in music, continued to toss.
In 1999, Lu Gengzhi borrowed 100,000 yuan from his parents and produced his first solo album "Future Future". After the album was released, it was not hot as expected.
Fortunately, there is no end to the road, although this album is not hot, but it has attracted the attention of some insiders, and finally a company has expressed its willingness to sign him.
Maybe it was to find someone to make up for the lack of singing, or maybe it was to follow Yu Quan's singing and composing group route, and Lu Gengjiao, who got the news, was the first to find Li Jian and invite him to come out and do it together. And Li Jian, like Lu Gengzhi who was in the design institute at the beginning, the heart of music does not die. So the two hit it off and set up the "Mizuki Nianhua" group.
In September 2001, Mizuki's debut album "A Lifetime with You" was released, and it quickly became popular, sweeping the Newcomer Awards of various music awards that year.
From 1993 to 2001, a Tsinghua scholar, after 8 years of stumbling, finally realized his dream of being a singer. Lu Gengjiu, 31, can finally say to his father, "I'm on fire."
For him, music was once just a tool for flirting with his sister, but in the end it became a belief that he was integrated into his blood.
