April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. On the same day, the "Big Dreamer" project for young people with mental disabilities ("heart youth") to realize their dreams in the workplace was officially launched at the Shekou store of Wal-Mart in Shenzhen. Jointly promoted by Wal-Mart China, Shenzhen One Foundation Public Welfare Foundation, Shenzhen Shouwang Family Care Association for People with Mental Disabilities, and Shenzhen Autism Research Association, the project will explore and make efforts to support the open employment of people with mental disabilities. It is understood that this activity will recruit 18 young people with mental disabilities for skills training for the society, and provide them with rich internship experience opportunities at Walmart.

At the launching ceremony, the two young representatives will participate in the training and internship of the first phase of the "Big Dreamer" project, in which they have said that they cherish this job opportunity and will strive to serve customers.
It is reported that on the road of establishing a career-wide support system for mentally disabled groups, more and more enterprises, social organizations and individuals have joined in. The public welfare activities represented by the Blue Action of the One Foundation are vigorously advocated by all parties every year, hoping that the public will understand and pay attention to the needs and rights of mentally disabled groups, including autistic people. At this event, driven by the mechanism of "meticulous party building and joint construction of resources", the party committees of the four seas community fully promoted the charity culture, boosted the cause of charity, and promoted the better integration of vulnerable groups into society.
At this stage in China, there are about 23 million people with mental disabilities, and according to statistics, only about 7.5% of them are involved in employment, a relatively small proportion. The Big Dreamer Workplace Dream Fulfillment Project uses Big Dreamers to represent people with mental disabilities, encourage them to speak their dreams, and support them to bravely pursue their dreams. The project will actively unite all parties to create a platform for the display and practice of supportive employment skills for young people with mental disabilities, enhance the public's understanding of the labor and social value creation capabilities of young people with mental disabilities, and promote enterprises and institutions to accept the employment of people with mental disabilities.
