On the weekend, I went to see "One Hundred and Eight".
This film seems to have hardly been publicized except for a promotional video for Wu Jing. However, the adaptation of the real event was broadcast on the nearest weekend of 5.12, and people themselves will miss it, and there is no need to do any additional promotion.

The original story should have been heard by everyone, here is a simple narrative ↓
Probably at the time of the Wenchuan earthquake, the monks of Luohan Monastery ignored the taboo of bloodshed and accepted pregnant women and medical staff from the Maternal and Child Health Hospital. By the end of August, the Maternal and Child Health Hospital had completed its evacuation, and a total of 108 babies had been born in this temporary delivery room at The Luohan Temple. In short, it is a story full of humanity, mystery and great love.
The real events have been so flesh and blood, the film adaptation should not be too bad - it is estimated that many people like me, with such ideas and some feelings about this disaster, chose to step into the cinema, and then like me -
Stepped on the thunder
The overall texture of this movie is like the kind of inferior domestic film that the movie channel broadcasts during the garbage time slot, which will always arouse your "why did they shoot, is it money laundering behind your back". In addition to the real interview at the end of the film, every minute and every second is permeated with inexplicable and vulgar embarrassment, making you want to immediately pull the director out to apologize to the audience and everyone in the real event.
The following content will involve a lot of spoilers (here is no reminder, because I do not recommend that you watch this film again) & The following comments are only for the content of the film, and there is no disrespect for this incident.
The film chooses a couple with discordant feelings as the protagonist, the female protagonist is quite unpopular, pregnant is still smoking, talking does not count; the male protagonist is even less musical, married for a long time has been hiding from his father and mother, as if the daughter-in-law has something unseemly.
The two families quarreled every day, just in the process of an argument, the husband and wife pushed each other, resulting in the male protagonist who played the piano for a living and was preparing for the competition broke his arm, so angry that he left the female protagonist and returned to his hometown.
The female protagonist saw that this was not OK, and went to chase after work, and then chased all the way to Wenchuan, and the result was that the man still closed the door with a sigh of relief, and did not believe that the woman was pregnant.
The brain pain of the heroine who ate the closed door soup, ignored it, this day simply did not pass, the old woman beat the child! Then he turned his head and ran to the Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and took a photo at the entrance of the hospital to send an MMS message to the male owner, which probably means that the old woman can go! Come and keep me!
Just as the wife went into the hospital for examination and the husband was grinding and chirping at home, an earthquake occurred.
In the face of the disaster, the two people suddenly remembered each other, the heroine was very lucky, did not get hit, after a short panic, he moved into the Luohan Temple with the medical staff, and began to look for the male protagonist through various ways; the male protagonist was more miserable, after seeing the female protagonist's message, he suddenly woke up, ran to the hospital that collapsed most of the time to find the female protagonist, and the result was not only that the female protagonist was not found, but also was crushed under the ruins by the floor slabs shaken down by the aftershocks.
After that, the female protagonist repeatedly looks for the male protagonist, and the male protagonist looks for the female protagonist in various ways, but in any case, he can't find each other's plot, interspersed with the memories of the two people's feelings for each other. It wasn't until the length of the movie was almost over and the child was full-term that the male and female protagonists finally contacted each other, and then the male protagonist braved the heavy rain to go to the Luohan Temple to accompany his wife to give birth to their child, despite being seriously injured.
Okay, that's the end of the story
The most unbearable point of this film is that the whole process of hanging sheep's head to sell dog meat!
The title of the film is "One Hundred and Eight", naturally it should be based on children, temples, and medical staff, telling the connection and causes between them, but what does the film actually do?
The director gave a large number of shots and storylines to the heroes and heroines, and various flashbacks and interludes told the rotten love story between them. In this case, you might as well change the name to "Epicenter Love", and the heat of this real event should also rub is not too unconscionable.
Taking a step back, group portraits are difficult to write, and it is not impossible to visualize big things into small things.
Before Feng Xiaogang's "Tangshan Earthquake" was also a two earthquakes into the story of Li Yuanni, Fang Deng, and Fang Da's family to depict, although it was alleged to be suspected of deliberately tear-inducing, it still had good results in the end.
But what little story did the director of our "One Hundred and Eight" write?
Either stealing the juvenile pain literature written by his fourteen-year-old child, or borrowing from the third-rate romance novels of the last century, not only every emotional change of the characters, every twist of the story can be guessed, but also full of pretense.
For example, the heroine's children can never be beaten, men and women quarrel because of misunderstandings, there must be a passing shoulder in the process of looking for each other, even if the environment is bad like that, the heroine must go outside to find the male protagonist regardless of the risk of adding chaos to the medical staff, just to sublimate the feelings that their parents have never seen...
However, the old terrier is not a fundamental problem.
The previous movie "Like You" is also an old love terrier, what yin and yang wrong acquaintance, what you chase me to hide, what soul match, almost wrote the domineering president text on the brain door, and finally people still succeeded.
So what made this game completely dead?
Personal feelings are two reasons, one is the depiction of feelings and atmosphere, and the other is the actor's death.
The director gave the protagonist and the couple the most time and shots, almost gave up the depiction of the earthquake environment (except for the earthquake, the subsequent external description almost appeared as a time node), and directly separated the film story and the real events that occurred at the Luohan Temple (when you recall, you will find that the earthquake disaster and the Location of the Luohan Temple have no impact on this film), making it difficult for the audience to bring in empathy and often be in a state of withdrawal.
In this case, the film and "The Climber" make the same mistake, touching themselves first without touching others, and before the audience's emotions arrive, the sensational music is pushed up, and the meaning and tone are raised.
In this way, it will only make the audience's embarrassing toes grab out of a Potala Palace.
Perhaps some of the small plots, such as the loss of the doctor's beloved daughter, the loss and recovery of the son of the old couple, and the loss of the child to find the parents, etc., let the audience gain a short period of empathy, but I am sure that these tears of the audience are not flowing because of the characters in the film, but because of the preparation of the real story. Privately, I think that the first thing the film should do is to immerse the audience in the experience, and should not directly omit these processes because of the real to be assisted.
After that, it is to let people see the acting skills of the actor who has a heart attack.
The heroine who is absolutely heavy in the drama is like a wood without emotion most of the time, although according to the setting of this early stage should be lost and discouraged, but the heroine after encountering the earthquake, and then experienced the rest of her life, growth and rebirth, looking for the male protagonist frustrated and other ups and downs of the process, even if these emotions will be mixed with the loss of the soul, it should also be different, rather than unified eyes, looking at the distance, let people mistakenly think that you got Liu Shishi's smile like a blind true legend, right?
The male protagonist has a slightly less role, but his level is also with the female protagonist. All expressions are very pompous, and in the description of the large relationship between the husband and wife, he performs a posture more like a son than her husband. Of course, this also has the problem of plot design, what to talk to the dog, run away with the negative gas, and even dare not face it later... The various plots and the look on his face that he was a teenager to death are really "complementary".
In short, after watching a movie, the biggest feeling is the famous saying of Teacher Li Chengru: like a stab in the back, like a fish in the throat.
Looking back at the production team, the director and screenwriter are Kong Jiahuan alone, and this movie is still his debut work... There is no prejudice, but I still want to sincerely advise him not to make another movie in the short term, so as not to be caught by the audience and ask: How can such a good subject matter be spoiled by you like this?
