In recent years, with the improvement of living standards and nutritional awareness, the health of children's diet has attracted much attention, and many parents will not hesitate to take their wallets for the health of their children. With such consumer psychology and consumer demand, "children's exclusive" is more favored by consumers.

In supermarkets and mother and baby shops, various brands of children's soy sauce are sold, the packaging is cute, the portions are smaller, but the price is 10-20 times more expensive than ordinary soy sauce. In a number of e-commerce platforms search for "children's soy sauce" to see, many brands and products, the price is generally higher than the general soy sauce, a bottle of 100mL of "children's soy sauce", can be sold to 20-80 yuan range, imported "children's soy sauce" can even be sold to more than 100 yuan a bottle, sales are actually good.
Compared with ordinary soy sauce, soy sauce with the label of "child-only" can indeed be very valuable. Moreover, the so-called "children's soy sauce" will generally advertise "natural and organic", "brewed low-salt light soy sauce specially developed for children's health, suitable for bibimbap", "low salt and low sodium, to solve the problem of eating for babies", "rich in 18 kinds of amino acids, organic acids, carbohydrates and other nutritional elements needed by children", as a gimmick, not afraid of parents do not pay.
Is the so-called "children's soy sauce" nutritious and more suitable for children? It is understood that the Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Protection Commission has previously released a comparative test report on soy sauce products, of which 5 children's soy sauce samples, 3 of which have added fresheners; after testing nutritional elements, it was found that the difference between the 5 samples was also relatively large. In particular, the "Jiajia" brand of children's soy sauce has a higher sodium content than ordinary soy sauce. Industry experts point out that the composition and role of ordinary soy sauce and children's soy sauce are not much different. Children's diets do not require additional soy sauce to flavor. The sodium contained in the normal diet is enough to meet the physiological needs of children, and any additional salt is excess. And the more "heavy the mouth" when you are a child, the more difficult it is to control the salt demand when you grow up, and the higher the risk of high blood pressure. Experts remind that the nutrients children get in their daily diet are enough to meet their growth needs and do not need to supplement nutrition with soy sauce.
At present, China does not have a clear definition of children's food standards, in the field of soy sauce products, there is currently only GB /18186-2000 brewing soy sauce standards, and there is no introduction of relevant standards specifically for children's soy sauce, the "children's soy sauce" products on the market are mixed, it is recommended that consumers should still be more rational when buying.
How to identify inferior soy sauce in daily life? Experts remind that first of all, to identify the fermentation method, if the label brewing process is written "high salt dilute state", the brewing time is relatively long; and if it is written "low salt solid" or "unsalted solid" soy sauce, it may be artificial high temperature heating rapid fermentation, poor quality.
In addition, it is necessary to see the content of "amino acid nitrogen" on the label. The umami taste and nutritional value of soy sauce depend on the level of amino acid nitrogen content, and soy sauce is divided into special grade, first grade, second grade and third grade. Greater than or equal to 0.8 g/100ml is the special grade; greater than or equal to 0.7 g/100ml is the first stage; greater than or equal to 0.55 g/100ml is the second stage; greater than or equal to 0.4 g/100ml is the third stage. Therefore, the higher the amino acid nitrogen content, the stronger the umami taste and the better the quality.
Also pay attention to the ingredient list on the packaging of soy sauce products, if there is sodium glutamate, 5'-inosinate disodium and 5'-guanylate disodium in the ingredient list, the product has added a freshener; if the ingredient list contains benzoic acid, sorbic acid, etc. The product has added preservatives, consumers who are allergic to preservatives should not buy such products.
