Where is Xulu Ancient Town? In Beilu Village, Xixiang Town, Qinyang City, Jiaozuo City, Beilu Village was originally called "Xulu Ancient Town". On the eve of the Eleventh Golden Week, together with the Xu clan people Dagan, Wenwen, Baojin and Xu Jiang, they went to Beili Village on the north bank of the Qin River in the northwest of Qinyang City, where the small village with water, open space, and strong unique cultural atmosphere made the small village full of books. This time I walked into Beilu Village, and I saw another nostalgia and Xu Heng culture.
This autumn has been raining extraordinarily heavily, and it's annoying. However, it is precisely because of these rainy days that there is leisure. Xu Heng's descendants, several ethnic groups who are enthusiastic about Xu Heng culture, invited to go to Beilu Village to experience the cultural charm of "Xulu Ancient Town".
In the autumn rain, embark on the trip to Beilu, on the south side of a country road on the north bank of the Qin River, you see a towering archway, and the archway is written "Xulu Ancient Town", which is the entrance to Beilu Village.
Drive into the south of the village to see the Qin River embankment, to the north of the embankment in the village just built "Xulu Cultural Square", just in the afternoon when people are idle, although the rain has not yet cleared, but there are three or three villagers chatting. The villagers saw a group of five of us driving and came to talk. Briefly introduce us from the "Xu Heng Hometown" in Lifeng Village, Zhongzhan District, Jiaozuo City, the villagers surrounded us like greeting relatives, some introduced Xu Heng's life, some introduced the history and culture of "Xulu Ancient Town", and some villagers introduced the Xu Heng Ideological Research Base being built in the village.
In order to witness the authenticity of "Xulu Ancient Town", the elderly Chen Fuling in the "Xulu Cultural Square" specially ran home to take the bucket basket that had been treasured for many years, and the handle of the bucket basket had four big characters of "North Lu Ancient Town" written with a brush. She said that the sacks, cloth bags and containers used in the family for carrying grain would all have the words "Beilu Ancient Town" written on them.
In the "Xulu Cultural Square", I met a warm-hearted man named Chen Laiming, who was a cultural person in the village and a retired teacher, and he became a volunteer tour guide for us. Speaking of Xu Heng and Xu Heng's hometown, he was very enthusiastic about the culture of Beilu Village, he said: Beilu Village has a deep cultural heritage, Xu Heng's ancestral home is in Beilu Village, Xu Heng has also traveled to Andu Village many times in his life, although the residence is relatively short, but also left the culture here, so our Beilu Village here is also called "Xu Heng Hometown". Xu Heng was born in Xugang Village, Xinzheng, and Xugang Village in Xinzheng also has a saying of "Xu Heng's Hometown". In his later years, Xu Heng returned to his hometown and settled in Lifeng Village in Jiaozuo Zhongzhan District, where he was buried, and most of Xu Heng's descendants lived in Lifeng Village, which also had the title of "Xu Heng's Hometown".
During the conversation, Teacher Chen Laiming took us to a clean and neat courtyard opposite the "Xulu Cultural Square" where the gate was locked, and the staff of the village hurriedly took the key to open the gate for us to visit, due to the rain for several days, the iron lock that locked the door had rusted and could not be opened. At this time, in order not to disappoint a few of our descendants of Xu Heng who had come from afar, Teacher Chen Laiming went home and took a hammer and smashed the door lock.
Entering the courtyard, my eyes suddenly opened up. Sitting on the north-facing courtyard, the house is composed of three houses and an east-west wing, and there is a square pool in front of the upper house in the middle, the fish swim to the bottom in the pool, and there is a boulder protruding in the middle of the pool, and the proportion of the stone carved Xiangyun and Rigui is embedded above the boulder, he said that "Rigui" is an ancient instrument for measuring the sun's shadow, and the "Rigui" here is specially built to commemorate the chronological calendar invented by Xu Heng. Strolling through the courtyard, the wooden door stucco mud wall, the ancient road academy, and the ancient style shape do not make this typical northern courtyard feel lonely, but appear simple and elegant and more cultural.
The artistic arrangement in the courtyard and in the room is still in progress. The exhibition hall is mainly the introduction of Xu Heng's life and the schematic diagram of Xu Heng's scope of activities, and the project in the courtyard will be completed soon.
Chen Laiming said: Now Qinyang City is increasing financial investment, building and building a Xuheng cultural platform in Beilu Village, the road to cultural development in Beilu Village is becoming more and more open and clear, the infrastructure in the village is also being upgraded in an orderly manner, and the whole village is full of confidence! Beilu Village is building Xuheng Cultural Research Base and other contents, which is enriching the connotation of Xuheng culture.
Walking into the ancient town of Xulu, I thought about this historical and cultural celebrity for a long time: Xu Heng was a famous politician, thinker, educator and astronomer of the Yuan Dynasty. He is an encyclopedic figure recorded in the history of our country. The story of "Xu Heng Does Not Eat the Pear without a Master" has inspired future generations and has been passed down to the people.
When we drove north out of the village along the minzu road of Beilu Village and looked back, we saw the four big characters of "Xu Heng's Hometown" on the street sign at the entrance of the village, reminiscent of the nostalgia of Beilu Village and the culture of Xu Heng is interpreting the story of the brilliant spirit.
