The potted kumquat trees on the terrace are growing one by one every day. As soon as the heat passed, the face of the kumquat fruit began to turn slightly yellow, and when the white dew arrived half a month later, the kumquat fruit seemed to ripen overnight. Under the sun, the body shines like gold.

Looking at the cuteness of this kumquat ripening, I thought to myself, the annual Teacher's Day is coming soon, and the accumulation of habits is overflowing, and it is always good to write something. Hesitate again and again, this year I will write about the teacher Zhao Zhao who influenced my growth.

One

In the golden autumn of 1979, Shuoxian No. 1 Middle School ushered in another batch of high school freshmen as usual. This class of students starts in class 57 and ends in class 66, a total of 10 classes. My class is Class 66, and Zhao Zhao is our physics teacher. At that time, he was in his early thirties, with a medium to upper-middle stature, a rectangular face, slender eyes, black and shiny, and a smile that narrowed into a slit. The overall feeling is serious and simple and kind.

My teacher Zhao Zhao

Teacher Zhao's physics class is well taught. It's easy to understand and organized. And often the interaction in the classroom is good, so that students can speak boldly and discuss. We liked it very much. In the evening self-study, he always entered the classroom early, helped us with our homework, circled the alleyway of the seat, smiled, and answered questions. Unexpectedly, after the mid-term exam, our class teacher, Mr. Wu Jingwei, was transferred to class 62, and Mr. Zhao Zhao took over our class teacher and changed to our Chinese teacher.

Teacher Zhao Zhao, born in 1947, is a native of Nanquan Village, Shuocheng District. Shuoxian Shentou Middle School graduated from the 66th class of high school, and later obtained a correspondence college degree (Chinese). In 1973, he went to Shuoxian Dongfanghong Middle School (the predecessor of Shuoxian No. 1 Middle School) to substitute for class, and at the end of 1975, he was regularized. Before teaching us, he used to be a teacher of "electrochemical teaching" and a teacher of the school's electrician and physics teaching and research groups. Therefore, it is natural for him to become a physics teacher.

However, when we learned that he was going to change his language, we were a little shocked. A person in charge of the Teaching Department came to our class to explain to the effect that Zhao Zhao's language was better than physics, and the old principal of Song (Siam) would not look at the wrong person. Please rest assured that the students have a hundred.

Teacher Zhao's Chinese is indeed well learned, the basic knowledge, especially the ancient Chinese foundation is relatively solid, and the knowledge of related aspects outside the textbook is rich, so the lecture is full of quotations, vivid and lively, interesting and fascinating. For example, when talking about Sun Li's "Lotus Flower Dian", after explaining the background of the writing of this text, he focused on the analysis of the artistic skills of image shaping such as aquatic daughters-in-law. These little daughters-in-law not only have lofty patriotic enthusiasm, actively support their husbands to embark on the anti-Japanese guerrilla battlefield in Baiyangdian, but also have some difficulties in giving up their husbands. In this regard, the article said that "women have some broken silk links in the end", and the word "broken silk links" is not only the common feelings of the young daughters-in-law, but also the unique local customs of "Baiyangdian", which are kind and vivid and vivid. "Art comes from life" Teacher Zhao's explanation scored three points. After this text is taught, we still remember the idiom of "breaking the thread".

Forty years later, the image of his intoxicated lecture on the podium with a textbook in one hand and chalk in the other still flashes clearly in my mind.

Two

Teacher Zhao teaches Chinese, attaches great importance to memorization, and all the texts that the syllabus requires students to memorize are required to be memorized by us no matter how long. For example, Li Bai's "Shu Dao Difficulty", Du Fu's "The Hut Is Broken by the Autumn Wind", Bai Juyi's "Pipa Line" and other poems. But whenever he asks us to memorize texts, they are always randomly checked in class.

Teacher Zhao's skin is partial, his face is particularly severe, and in the middle of his forehead grows a y-shaped scar left by the broken flesh of his youth, which is very eye-catching, and the horseshoe print on the forehead of "Black Bao Zheng" in the play has a three-point resemblance. If anyone has not memorized or has not memorized it at all, and let him spot check it in class, this "baogong face" will be ugly. The usual kindness was swept away, and Hessen's was a little afraid of people. So we call him "Blackhead" in private.

Memorizing the texts must be memorized naturally. But once Teacher Zhao had a whim, he couldn't care about what had to be memorized or read well. I remember once when he told us about the Battle of Chibi, he asked us to recite it, saying that it would be checked in three days. The students all squeezed a cold sweat after listening to it, and I also thought to myself: How can such a long text be memorized? This "blackhead" can really bully people! However, the scolding in my heart has to be fiercely backed by others in the early self-study. Three days passed quickly, and Teacher Zhao did not renege on his word, and as soon as he got on the podium, he smiled and asked us: "Let me see what the back of "The Battle of Chibi" looks like?" "We were all speechless.

My teacher Zhao Zhao

"At the beginning, Lu Su heard Liu Biao's words to Sun Quanyue..." When the three students recited in succession, they were only the first twenty or thirty sentences, or even only the first three sentences. Because many students have no back at all, they think that the teacher will not check. Teacher Zhao on the podium probably also knew that it was almost difficult for students to memorize such a long article, so his face was not difficult to look at, and he smiled a little disappointed and asked the students who could not memorize it to sit down.

"Chen Yongsheng, you try." Suddenly, Teacher Zhao named me.

I hurriedly stood up and lowered my head and back, about the time I got stuck in the middle, looked up at the podium, Teacher Zhao held the book in his left hand, prompted me, and signaled to continue back. Stuck again, hinted again. It is strange to say that the last dozen paragraphs are unimpeded.

"Nice! Not bad! "Two exclamation points were given to me, which is a reward and an inspiration for a lifetime of love of literature."

It wasn't until many years after graduation that I slowly realized that learning Chinese and memorizing is an indispensable "milk skill".

My teacher Zhao Zhao

At the same time, Teacher Zhao also attaches great importance to the teaching of composition. His standard is actually very simple, opposing false emptiness and singing high-profile, requiring us to write what we think.

Around 1980, the left-leaning trend of thought had not yet been eliminated, and our compositions were inevitably "slogan style" preaching, which made him very nervous. Once he met someone who wrote a sincere essay, he happily posted it in the "composition garden" on the back wall of the classroom for the students to watch and study. In the past ten years, I have written nearly a million words of articles of different genres, and the general evaluation of readers is simple, true and down-to-earth. The formation of this style of writing, to be honest, is inseparable from the cultivation and advocacy of Teacher Zhao at that time.

Teacher Zhao also pays attention to our extracurricular reading. At that time, there were not as many magazines and books as there are today. Take the magazine, the common only "People's Literature", "Shanxi Youth", "People's Liberation Army Literature and Art", "Youth Literature and Art" and so on, but the vast majority of students do not have excess money to buy these extracurricular books, if you want to read, you have to go to Teacher Zhao's dormitory in your spare time to read. At this time, Teacher Zhao always had a good smile on his face and explained his experience to us. Teacher Zhao's teaching has broadened our horizons and guided our interests and methods of reading. The ancient precept of "giving it to fish" is perfectly embodied.

My teacher Zhao Zhao

Our class 66 is the ordinary class of the ordinary class. After Mr. Zhao's dedication, the Chinese results of our class are still very good. Class 66 was Mr. Zhao's first class as a class teacher, and until his retirement, he had been the class teacher of 10 classes and had been engaged in Language teaching. A few years ago, I heard many other teachers say that although Mr. Zhao Zhao has not represented the key classes, he is more prominent in terms of teaching achievements and class management level, and he is very prestigious in Shuocheng District No. 1 Middle School.

Three

Today's Teacher Zhao has been retired for 13 years. He still maintains close contact with the students of that year. His family still lives in the family area of Yizhong, and most of the neighbors are colleagues of that year. They often wonder: How many years have Zhao Zhao's students graduated, and why would they still come to visit him?

My teacher Zhao Zhao

To answer this question, I am afraid that only his students can give a definite answer: charisma.

When I was in high school, on the whole, the school atmosphere was very good, and the teacher's morality and teaching style of most teachers were well-known. But there are also a very few teachers who do not do well enough in this regard, or even worse. Among the more than 50 students in our 66th class, there are two children of the deputy director of the Revolutionary Committee and three or four children of section-level cadres. In front of Teacher Zhao, no matter what the student's family background is, no matter how sensitive and stupid the student is, he is equal, and pays attention to the personality of each student. He treats students equally, respects them from the bottom of his heart, maintains our self-esteem, and wins the love of students. The idea of equality in life runs through his career as a teacher. This is an important reason why we are attached to Teacher Zhao.

Teacher Zhao's family of five, the teacher's wife has no job, and her life is naturally tight. Before 2004, in addition to teaching, Mr. Zhao often used holidays and Sundays to do some odd jobs to subsidize his family. He also did hard work such as digging tree pits and climbing electric poles. Since the mid-1970s, his main side business is to make floats and color doors for various units during the Lantern Festival, which not only exerts the expertise of electricians, but also increases economic income. Once, he once "bragged" with Tian Kun, a student of the 115th class he taught: "At that time, my income during holidays was very envious of many people. According to the teacher's recollection, Teacher Zhao has been making floats for 20 years. Putting down the teacher's shelf and walking from the lectern to the welding machine, it takes courage and hardship. Some people may have despised his part-time work practices, but the image of Teacher Zhao has added to the spirit of self-improvement and hard-working in our hearts, and it is more and more worthy of emulation.

My teacher Zhao Zhao

Teacher Zhao has told us many times that life was really difficult back then, thanks to your teachers and wives who are helping company. The teacher's name is Xu Guicun, who planted more than a dozen acres of land in the village, at least solved the problem of eating for the whole family, and planted it until 1994. Shi Niang was a diligent person, and when the land was no longer planted, she took a cleaning job in a middle school, and once she cleaned it, it was several years. Finally, he helped Teacher Zhao to send all three dolls into the hall of the university. Looking at Teacher Zhao's warm smile, I knew that his words of thanks to his wife were from the bottom of my heart.

Regarding the character and personality of Shi Niang, I made a detailed account in the article "Shi Niang" last year. In short, the teacher is hospitable, although there are not many words, but she treats our students with motherly feelings. I remember that before the National Day in 2009, Teacher Zhao's second son was going to hold a wedding, and about 40 or 50 of the student representatives of our 7 classes went to the house to "help in advance", and the teacher had to arrange for us to eat and drink at the Shuocheng District Government Guest House not far from home. During the banquet, the teacher and mother could call the names of the students who arrived. Teacher Zhao, nine times out of ten calling us is a small name (milk name), such as me, the students like to call me "Lao Man", Teacher Zhao has not called my academic name since about 20 years ago, always "Old Man" Long "Old Man" short call.

Teachers and teachers treat students as children and friends, and the relationship reaches the level of teachers and friends, so can there be less exchanges?

Four

After Teacher Zhao retired, his three children also started a family, and the family burden was finally gone. I have lived a very comfortable and fulfilling life for more than ten years.

Teacher Zhao loves to travel. If there is a surplus, he will lead his wife around Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and other places, and travel the farthest to the treasure island of the motherland, Taiwan. In his words, "let your teacher open your eyes." In fact, I'm afraid he wants to open his eyes. If he did not have a surplus, he would either take his wife, children, nephews, grandchildren, or gather more than a dozen of his students to see the West Mountain and the South Mountain, and he was very happy. In his words it was "poor and happy", but unfortunately I never went with them once.

Teacher Zhao's two sons are working in Taiyuan, if the old two want to have grandchildren, they will run to Taiyuan to live for ten and a half days, but also happy.

My teacher Zhao Zhao

Before retiring, Teacher Zhao was busy with work, and there was a "side job" on holidays, and there was no time to write articles. For more than a decade, he has become obsessed with writing. Last autumn, the Emperor's three-volume collection of essays of more than 400,000 words, Bitter Worm Yin, was published. This book has a variety of genres and a wide range of themes, and there are more than a dozen columns alone, such as "Kindness does not forget", "The past goes with the wind", "Looking back on the taste", "The wave travels fast", "the old graffiti" and so on.

Last year I spent more than a month reading this book intermittently, in short, full of aftertaste, very informative, literary and readable. Some articles have been published many times in Shuozhou Daily, Shuofeng, Mayi Literature magazine and some WeChat platforms, and have been widely praised by readers. Writing here, the titles of articles such as "Bitter Worm", "Walking the Great Wall", "Taiwan Trip", "Simen Village Mouth Picking Up", "Over the New Year", "Pan Intestine", "Teacher Ouyang" and other articles suddenly appeared in front of my eyes. In the preface and the trek, his students say that "reading is his best" and "writing about what he has pursued all his life" is. A few days ago, Teacher Zhao told me in WeChat that he was ready to reprint "Bitter Worm Yin", which was printed less last year and could not meet the needs of relatives and friends.

The teacher's wish has been fulfilled, the dream of a language teacher has come true, and it has become a benchmark in our lives.
