Master Chen Suzhen's 1936 "Three ShangShang" old record recording, the early singing voice has a different flavor

author:Yu see culture

"Three Shangshang Car", a traditional repertoire of Yu opera, is one of the folds of the whole play "Fake Gold Medal". Originally it was sung in a hu and eight singing (sending guest drama), but in 1932, after being adapted and processed by the Yu opera empress Chen Suzhen in 1932, it caused a sensation in the Great Central Plains. 14 years later (1944), Chen Suzhen taught this play to the Yu opera master Cui Lantian, Cui Lantian Zong's deep and tragic Yuxi tune, she changed this play to Yuxi tone singing, still caused a huge sensation, many of which were even more popular in the Central Plains and widely sung, and the play also laid the foundation for the art of Chen Pai's vocal cavity.

After Chen Suzhen learned it from the old artist Liu Rongxin in the 30s, he worked hard and worked dismally, innovated and transformed it, compiled a new cavity, and sang it in Kaifeng as a situation of "family 'Cui's daughter', household 'shy answer'", becoming a representative repertoire in Chen Men's vocal cavity art.

Chen Suzhen's "Three ShangShang" became her early masterpiece. At that time, there was a folk tradition in the Kaifeng area: "Selling livestock and selling sets, we must also look at the "Three ShangShang" of Dog Girl (Chen's nickname)" Which shows the extent of this drama.

She herself is not satisfied with the records she produces. Here is a quote from Mr. Chen Suzhen's autobiography: "When the record came out, I listened to it, and the tears rolled down. 'Is this what I sang?' I asked Mr. Fan. He said, 'If you sing like this on stage, can you still applaud like that?' I said, 'I'll refund the money, please tell EMI, don't come out again, it's too ugly.' ...... How can it be sung so blandly?' ......”

According to Chen Suzhen in her memoirs, she produced records and "practiced the damn three minutes with her talking voice." Since then, her voice has lost its luster, and she rarely performs "Three Shangshang".

Despite this, after all, it was the first record of Yu Opera, which recorded Chen Suzhen's singing style of Yu Opera Danjiao at that time. Among them, there are four records of "Three On the Car", each with two sides and six minutes on both sides, which cannot be more or less, so that a total of twenty-four minutes is calculated.
