Desarin said: "In order to proclaim our independence, the skins of the white men should be treated as parchment, their heads should be used as ink bottles, their blood should be used as ink, and their bayonets should be used as pens!" At his command and call, the "Massacre of Haiti" took place in 1804. A large number of whites were brutally murdered, which also caused strong resentment among the white race.
Such a violent emperor is doomed not to last long, and his series of policies have not saved the country, but have made the country more chaotic. On 17 October 1806, Desarim was assassinated while on his way to Port-au-Prince to suppress the rebellion, and his legendary life came to an end.
