Pokémon 25th Anniversary: McDonald's can purchase a "Happy Meal" and receive a redemption card

McDonald's this week announced a new partnership with Pokémon, adding a different kind of fun to celebrating the 25th anniversary of the series' IP. When ordering Happy Meal, McDonald's will come with a pokémon "25th Anniversary Special" redemption game card. Foreign media pointed out that the fast food chain giant provided a set of four Pokemon TCG card packs.

It is reported that in the Pokémon Universe, each region has 24 First Partner Pokémon and a Pikachu. The partnership with McDonald's will provide a set of 4 trading cards for a total of 50 cards.

Ideally, you might be lucky enough to eat 13 "happy meals" in a row to be able to gather (50÷4 = 12.5). But in real life, enthusiasts have to use trading platforms like eBay to take the trouble of bringing the entire set of cards home.

Unfortunately, it's unclear whether the partnership will be rolled out to more markets outside the U.S.
