Following last week's announcement by the Prime Minister of the Netherlands that Crown Prince Catharina Amalia, 17, is of marriageable age, the Swedish royal family made the same statement yesterday.
The Swedish royal family explained that the order of succession to the Swedish throne only says that a princess or prince must obtain the consent of the government to marry in order to retain his right to inherit the throne. Now Sweden's current marriage law has allowed for same-sex marriage, so the royal family can naturally marry the same sex. As long as the Swedish government agrees, marriage between members of the royal family and the same sex will not affect the right to inherit the throne.

If Estelle, the daughter of the Grand Princess of Sweden and the second in line to the throne, chooses to marry the same sex, there will be no two Drottning (the same As the English Queen) in Sweden. The Queen's wife would receive the title of Princessa (same as The English Princess). Just as the Queen's husband does not receive the title of Kung (same as King in English), he is called Prince (with Prince in English).
However, if the queen or king marries a person of the same sex, there is no clear statement as to how their children's right to inherit the throne will be determined.
