On September 10, according to the business school of Southern University of Science and Technology, the institute has successfully introduced more than a dozen scholars who graduated from first-class universities at home and abroad in less than a year, including the University of Minnesota, the University of California, Irvine, Georgia State University, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and other top universities.

In addition, the Business School of Southern University of Science and Technology welcomed a total of four heavyweight scholars as chair professors this year, including Jin Li, former vice dean of the Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, Liu Liming, former dean of the Business School of Lingnan University in Hong Kong, Li Zhongfei, former executive dean of the School of Management of Sun Yat-sen University, and Zhou Hao, former deputy dean of the Wudaokou School of Finance of Tsinghua University.

In 1992, he graduated from the Department of World Economics of Fudan University with the honor of "Shanghai Outstanding Graduate" and stayed on to teach in the Department of International Finance of Fudan University. In 1994, he went to the United States at his own expense and received a master's degree in economics (1996) from the State University of New Jersey with full honors and a doctorate in finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2001).

He has served as Vice Dean of Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, Deputy Director of the School of Economics and Management of Peking University, Director of the National Center for Financial Research of Peking University, Professor of Finance at Harvard Business School and Executive Director of the Fairbank Center for East Asian Studies at Harvard University, Professor of Finance at Oxford Business School (tenured full professor and doctoral supervisor), and researcher of the China Center of Oxford University.

He has taught EMBA, MBA, graduate and undergraduate courses in capital markets, corporate finance and corporate governance at Harvard Business School, Oxford University and Peking University.

Chair Professor of the Department of Finance, Southern University of Science and Technology, member of the Disciplinary Review Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council.

He received his bachelor's degree in science from Lanzhou University in 1985, his master's degree from Inner Mongolia University, and his ph.D. in management from the Institute of Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000. From 1990 to 2000, he taught at Inner Mongolia University and was promoted from teaching assistant to professor. Since 2000, he has worked in Lingnan College and School of Management of Sun Yat-sen University.

He once served as the executive dean of the School of Management, the dean of the School of Entrepreneurship and the director of the Social Science Division of Sun Yat-sen University, and is now an expert of the Discipline Review Group of the National Social Science Foundation of China, the vice chairman of the Chinese Systems Engineering Society, the vice chairman of the China Society of Optimal Method Co-ordination and Economic Mathematics and the chairman of its Quantitative Finance and Insurance Branch, and the executive director of the Chinese Society of Management Science and Engineering and the vice chairman of its Financial Measurement and Risk Management Branch.

Professor Li Zhongfei has presided over the major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Innovation Group Project, the Key Project, the Jieqing Project, the Joint Research Fund Project with the Hong Kong Research Grants Council and other scientific research projects, and participated in the national "973 Program" and the National Social Science Foundation Major Project (sub-project leader) and other projects. He has published 6 academic monographs in Science Press and more than 200 papers in authoritative academic journals at home and abroad. As the first winner, he has won one second prize for outstanding achievements in humanities and social science research of the Ministry of Education and two first prizes for outstanding achievements in philosophy and social sciences in Guangdong Province. He was selected into the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents Support Program, Elsevier China's List of Highly Cited Scholars, etc.

Chair Professor, Department of Information Systems and Management Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology.

He was the Dean of Business School, Lingnan University, Hong Kong. From 1993 to 2006, he taught at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and later served as a senior professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and lingnan university (Hong Kong) Business School, where his research interests include operations management, operations research, and network systems, and his achievements have been published in top international and core journals.

He is currently the Dean of the Business School of Southern University of Science and Technology and a Chair Professor of the Department of Finance.

From 1999 to 2000, he was a lecturer in the Department of Economics at Duke University, and from 2000 to 2013, he worked on the Federal Reserve Board. After returning to China in 2013, he worked at Tsinghua University. He was the deputy dean of the Wudaokou School of Finance at Tsinghua University and a senior economist in the Risk Analysis Department of the Us Federal Reserve. He has been a visiting professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Center for Chinese Economic Research at Peking University. He joined SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY in April 2021.

Professor Zhou Hao's research achievements have won a number of international academic and professional awards in recent years. These include the Financial Research Paper of the Year Award from Whitebox Asset Management, the Best Paper Award of the China International Conference in Finance, the Crowell Memorial Medal from PanAgora Asset Management, the Academic Competition Award from the Chicago Quantitative Investment Association, the Banking Vision Award from the Australian Financial and Banking Conference, the Global Risk Management Association Research Award, and the Royal College Hedge Fund Research Award.
