Guo Jingyun was the first general of the Fu Zuoyi Group, born in Shaanxi in 1904. At the age of 19, he joined the machine gun company of the 1st Regiment of the 15th Mixed Brigade of the Beiyang Army, and gradually rose from an unknown pawn to a squad leader, platoon leader, company commander, battalion commander, and regiment commander.
In June 1940, Guo Jingyun was appointed as the commander of the 101st Division. In February 1948, he was appointed lieutenant general of the 35th Army. In September, Jin. This was exactly what the chairman wanted, and on December 4, Yang Dezhi was ordered to quickly take the garden area to cut off the enemy forces, and the main force surrounded Xuanhua and Xiahua. Yang Chengwu defended Zhangjiakou while blocking the enemy's retreat to the east, and the Dongye Advance Corps cut off the connection between Beiping and Huailai on the Pingsui Line.

The advance corps sent by Lin Zong was the main force of the Second Corps of Dongye Cheng Zihua, which shined in the Tashan Blockade Battle, with Wu Kehua's 4 columns and He Jinnian's 11 columns. After the Liaoshen Campaign, the number of soldiers was replenished in a timely manner, from more than 60,000 to 100,000.
According to the orders of the chairman and Lin Zong, Cheng Zihua's 100,000 troops appeared in Miyun territory by night and quietly entering the customs. Intelligence shows that Miyun has only one security regiment. Cheng Zihua, who was greedy, had a hot brain and let the 4 columns go to Huailai and the 11 columns to take down Miyun.

When he learned that the "dog skin hat" troops had arrived in Miyun, Fu Zuoyi was shocked and urgently transferred back to the 35th Army to escort him.
The 35th Army escaped in more than 400 AMERICAN-made ten-wheeled trucks, and it was even more difficult to catch up. Guo Jingyun broke through Yang Chengwu's encirclement, and a small number of blocking troops could not stop it at all. The chairman could only anxiously wait for Yang Dezhi's news, but they were moving slowly in the mountains.

This fresh force was the third column of Zheng Weishan of Yang Dezhi's Second Corps. How did they arrive so in time? In fact, in order to be able to jam Guo Jingyun, Zheng Weishan disobeyed the order of the column and even used the right to dispose of the temporary opportunity.
Originally, Yang Dezhi, who had received a strict order from the chairman to pursue, gave the three columns a death order: to surround the enemy's 35th Army in the present area and cut off contact with Huailai. If it runs away, we are responsible. Whoever lets the enemy go because of negligence or insaction must be held accountable.
According to the deployment of "Yang Luogeng", Zheng Weishan's 3 columns surrounded the west and southwest of the new security, Zeng Siyu's 4 columns surrounded the east and southeast of the new security, and Qiu Wei's 8 columns surrounded the north of the new security, and the three iron tongs firmly trapped Guo Jingyun in the city. Guo Jingyun, who was full of indifference at first, panicked after several unsuccessful breakthroughs, and quickly asked the "eldest brother" Fu Zuoyi for help.
Zheng Weishan's 3rd Column Reconnaissance Squad unexpectedly found the main force of the Anchunshan 104th Army supporting the 35th Army in Shacheng, and instead of taking the main road, he chose to move covertly to the new security guards, and if the main force of the 104th Army passed through Shacheng, Zeng Siyu's 4th Column would be attacked on his stomach and back.
Zheng Weishan made several unsuccessful contacts with the corps headquarters, and immediately decided to personally lead 5 regiments to block the attack, and the political commissar Wang Zonghuai led 4 regiments to continue to besiege Guo Jingyun. Wang Zonghuai immediately objected: first, the siege of the 35th Army was the death order of the corps, and second, the 4 regiments were likely to be unable to stop it.
Zheng Weishan had no choice but to take out the "right to dispose of the opportunity" of the military commander, and Wang Zonghuai, who was also an old revolutionary, expressed respect for the commander's decision and desperately wanted to trap the 35th Army. When Zheng Weishan's 5 regiments reached the front of the 104th Army, it was less than 4 kilometers away from the new security guards.
The new security completely annihilated the enemy's 35th Army in the first battle, and Guo Jingyun committed suicide, completely destroying Fu Zuoyi's confidence in defending Beiping. After the war, the chairman sent a telegram to praise Zheng Weishan, who had made miraculous achievements under the "heavenly gods and mortals".

In February 1951, Yang Dezhi's 19th Corps went to the Korean battlefield, and Zheng Weishan was the deputy commander. He successively participated in the Fifth Campaign, the Defense of Tieyuan and Kaesong, and the confrontation with the "Coalition Army" north of panmunjom on the 38th line, and the front was gradually stabilized.
In June 1952, Zheng Weishan served as the acting commander of the 20th Corps and formulated the Jincheng counterattack plan. Deng Hua, acting commander of the Volunteer Army, felt that the conditions for fighting the "883.7 Highland" were not ripe and should not be fought. Zheng Weishan said: The determination has been decided, and I am holding a head on the wrong head!
Even Xu Shiyou, commander of the Third Corps, squeezed a handful of sweat for him after listening to the battle plan, so that he could hang.
However, there are also military commanders who support Zheng Weishan, such as Zhang Zuyu, the commander of the 60th Army who is determined to be humiliated, and Qiu Wei, the commander of the 67th Army, who took the initiative to take the lead. Zheng Weishan once again showed the characteristics of "bold and meticulous as a hair", and arranged a large infiltration of 3500 people.

Founding Lieutenant General Zheng Weishan
In 1955, Zheng Weishan, acting commander of the Corps, and Wang Jinshan, deputy commander of the Third Corps, were both awarded the rank of lieutenant general, and several outstanding military commanders such as Liang Xingchu, Wen Yucheng, Zhang Renchu, Wu Xinquan, Wu Ruilin, Qin Jiwei, and Zeng Zesheng were awarded.
In June 1969, Zheng Weishan was appointed commander and first secretary of the Beijing Military Region. In December 1982, he was appointed commander of the Lanzhou Military Region. The founding lieutenant generals who were able to take charge of the two major military regions, in addition to General Zheng Weishan, were only a few people such as Pi Dingjun and Qin Jiwei.
On May 9, 2000, Zheng Weishan, the tiger general who had been fighting all his life, passed away, and according to the general's will, there was no farewell ceremony or memorial service, and the ashes were scattered in the Dabie Mountain, Qilian Mountain and Hexi Corridor where the general had fought in that year.
