Sin is a relatively common idiom meaning that there is no greater sin than that. It came from the mouth of a villain in the State of Chu during the Spring and Autumn Period, but it killed a Ling Yin (equivalent to a prime minister) in the State of Chu. The lethality of the villain's poisonous tongue can be seen here.
First, if you are not afraid of no good things, you are afraid of no good people
In the winter of 627 BC, the State of Chu ordered Yin Zishang to lead an army to attack the States of Chen and Cai. Chen, Cai, and the State of Chu made peace, and the Chu army turned to attack the State of Zheng and prepared to send Gongzi Flaw, who had gone abroad to avoid disaster because he was hated by Zheng Wengong and others, back to zheng to succeed to the throne. Unfortunately, Gongzi was not blessed, and was captured in the battle because the chariot overturned and lost his hand, and was immediately executed by Zheng Guo, but fortunately, Zheng Wengong's wife took pity on him and buried him under the city of Kuai.
At this time, the Jin people saw that Cai Guo had befriended the Chu state again, and they were dissatisfied, so they sent Yang to fight against Cai Guo. King Cheng of Chu ordered Zi Shang to lead troops to rush to the aid, and the two armies set up camps on both sides of the river and confronted each other on the water.
At this time, it was a cold winter, seeing that the Chu army was blocking the way, and he himself came from afar, and the supply was difficult, and Yang's father was very anxious, so he sent an emissary to write a letter saying: "I have heard that the literati cannot offend the rational people; the warriors cannot hide from the enemy (Wen does not violate the obedience, and the martial does not disobey the enemy). If you really want to fight, then I will retreat thirty miles first, and you will cross the river and line up, fighting early and fighting late. Otherwise, we will be so wide-eyed and small-eyed, in vain. ”
The letter was delivered to the Chu army camp, and Father Yang got on a carriage and waited by the river. Zi Shang wanted to cross the river and fight, but was stopped by his subordinate Grand Uncle and said, "You must not cross the river." The Jin people did not keep their promises, and if we attacked us halfway through, we would regret that it would be too late to die. It is better to let them breathe a sigh of relief. Therefore, Zi Shang ordered the Chu army to retreat thirty miles.
This move was in the arms of Zhongyang's father, sending people everywhere to shout that "the Chu army has fled", and he borrowed a donkey to take the slope and lead the troops back to China. The Chu army waited for half a day, saw that the Jin army did not move, and then inquired, and even slipped away early, and also withdrew.
It is said that although Zi Shang's troops did not engage the Jin army this time, after all, it curbed the strategic attempts of the Jin state and saved the Cai state, which can be regarded as a complete merit.

But the so-called fear of no good things, afraid of no good people. Zi Wanwan did not expect that this move would be exploited by the Chu Prince Shangchen, who had long been dissatisfied with him. The Shang chancellor said to King Cheng of Chu: "Zi Shang sent troops this time, and he retired to China without fighting, and I heard that it was Zi Shang who accepted bribes from the Jin state to avoid fighting, which is a shame for the Chu state, and there is no greater sin than this." King Cheng was furious when he heard this, and killed him without giving his son any chance to explain.
But soon, King Chu Cheng, who had been confused for a while, repented of his intestines.
Second, it is not until death is imminent that it is understood
As the saying goes, there is no unprovoked love, and there is no unprovoked hatred. The reason why the Prince Shangchen was bent on getting rid of his son and then going fast was not without reason.
It turned out that one day, King Cheng of Chu had a problem with whether to make Shang Chen the crown prince, so he asked his son for advice.
Zi Shang did not realize the huge risks involved in the li chu problem, nor did he say "this jun's family affairs" and avoid disasters, but said truthfully: "You are not old enough (Jun's teeth are not yet), and there are many women you like, I am worried that you have now established a shangchen, and in the future, there will be more favorite candidates to be deposed, which is bound to cause disaster." There is also the prince of Chu Guoli, who has always chosen young people. Moreover, Shang Chen, whose eyes were like bees and who sounded like jackals (bees and jackals), was a very cruel person who could not be made a prince. ”
The king of Chu "listened", but the words on the son soon reached the ears of the Shang courtiers, and the seeds of hatred fell like this.
The so-called bystander clear. After establishing Shang Chen as the crown prince, the King of Chu really had a more preferred candidate, the prince position. At the moment of hesitation, Shangchen had already obtained relevant information through the internal line.
In order to confirm whether the news was accurate, Shangchen approached his teacher Pan Chong, asking for advice and asking how to find out Wang's true thoughts. Teacher Pan gave him an idea, asking Shang Chen to set up a banquet to entertain Jiang Mi but deliberately showed disrespect.
Jiang Mi was the sister of the King of Chu, who returned to Chu Province after marrying Jiang Guo, and had not yet returned to China in the palace, and should be a well-informed person. It is said that the woman was short-tempered and outspoken, so she was regarded by Pan Chong as a "tainted witness." ”
Shang Chen followed the plan, and Jiang Mi was indeed in the plan, and blurted out in anger: "Ah! No wonder the king wants to kill you and make you crown prince. ”
Shangchen ran to the teacher and begged for help.
Pan Chong asked, "Can you be willing to serve the prince?" ”
"Not possible"
"Can I go abroad and go into exile?"
"No, you can't."
"Can you do something big?"
"Yes."
As a result, another palace coup drama began to be staged intensively.
One day in October of that year, taking advantage of the night, Shang Chen led the palace guards to surround the palace of King Cheng of Chu and forced King Cheng to commit suicide.
Facing a vicious Shangchen and Xueliang's sword, the King of Chu couldn't help but think of the heartfelt words of the son he had killed, but he was still unwilling and hoped that someone would come to save him, so he said: "Son, the chef has just steamed bear paws for me, can I eat it and die again." Shang Chen sneered and said, "You don't have to dream, you want to delay time and wait for someone to save you." Less nonsense, hurry up and cut yourself off, and you can still leave a whole corpse. ”
The Zuo Biography specifically records this date - on October 18, 626 BC, Lady Peach Blossom's son, Xiong Yun (恽), the self-reliant King of Chucheng, killed his brother Chu Andao and died of self-reliance. Crown Prince Shangchen was made the monarch of the country and was made king of Chumu.
The satisfied King Mu, not forgetting his mentor, gave Pan Chong's house and property when he was crown prince, and appointed him as a taishi and concurrently served as the "commander of the Janissaries" (孭环列) of the court.
After everything was cleaned up, King Mu squeezed out a few tears and ordered someone to choose a nickname for the dead father. According to the records, it is not known whether it was because he was sad that he did not eat the bear's paw before he died, or whether he regretted that he did not listen to the words on the son, and King Chu Cheng's eyes were always wide open after his death.
After weighing it for half a day, King Mu decided to give his father the title of "Spirit", which was a vicious and absurd meaning. As a result, the king's eyes became larger, and he looked like he immediately crawled out of the coffin. Everyone looked scared and quickly changed their name to "Cheng", and King Chu Cheng closed his eyes.
It is said that when the bad news came, Jiang Mi, who was outspoken and fast-talking, also committed suicide and atonement for his brother's sins.
Third, superfluous words
Zi Shang, Cheng Wang, and Jiang Mi died, all of them died so unwillingly.
Among them, the one who died the most was the son. He can be regarded as a man who is single-minded and open-minded, but unfortunately he is involved in a court infighting and is killed by rumors.
And a similar scene is not uncommon in thousands of years of feudal society. The fact of countless blood has proved that as long as this mode of social operation remains unchanged, the phenomenon of court-style infighting will continue every day, and at most the directors and actors will change.
The imperial society is precisely not to restrain the villain, and even more it prefers to use the villain to restrain the good person, and finally distort the good person into the villain.
Looking at the ancient Chinese classics, in addition to the Four Books and Five Classics, the Twenty-Four Histories, what "Cai Gen Tan", "Groaning Language", and so-and-so family books, so-and-so family training and other spiritual chicken soup articles abound, of which the repeated ramblings are actually these few sentences: "The royal law is not important, the principle is not important, morality is set aside, the tail is between the tails, and it is good to live long enough." ”
Therefore, even the "Zizhi Tongjian" presented to the emperor Lao'er Yulan also secretly told such a story: Guo Ziyi, a famous general who had the merit of recreating the Tang Dynasty, never left his concubines whenever he saw a guest. But once, Guo Ziyi was ill, and when Yushi Zhongzhong heard about it, Lu Qi came to offer condolences, and Guo Ziyi immediately ordered all the concubines to stay far away, and sat alone behind several cases and waited patiently.
Later, some people did not understand the mystery and could not help but ask Guo Ziyi, Guo Ziyi said: "Lu Qi this person looks ugly and sinister inside, women will definitely laugh when they see him." If Lu Qi succeeds in the future, there will be no one left in our entire ethnic group. ”
The history books record that Lu Qi, the second generation of officials, a native of Lingchang, Huazhou, looked ugly, as blue as blue, had oral arguments (stuttering), and later became the prime minister. More than 10 virtuous talents, including the great calligrapher Yan Zhenqing, were framed and killed by him, and they also set up clever names, wanton conquests, and the voice of grievances and noises spread all over the world. Even the emperor was almost affected by the implicated accident.
And the final outcome of this person is: only degrading the official, and dying.
The only thing that makes us feel a little relieved is that he has been respectful to Guo Ziyi all his life and has never harmed him.
Be careful to make the Ship of Ten Thousand Years, to the wise words. But how many people can have the IQ and emotional intelligence of Guo Ziyi?
Appreciation of Sinology Classics:
Chu ordered Yin Zi to invade Chen and Cai. Chen, Cai Cheng, Sui Fa Zheng, and na gongzi flawed, the door to the orange gate. The flaws are covered by the Wang of the Zhou clan, and the foreign servants are sacrificed to the birds. Lady Wen was buried under the city.
Jin Yang's father invaded Cai, and Chu Zi rescued him, and he and jin shi were caught in the middle of the army. Yang Zi suffered from it, so that the ruler said: "I have heard it, wen does not disobey, and wu does not disobey the enemy." If the Son wants to fight, then I will retreat, and the Son will be in the middle of the day, and he will only be killed if he is late, or he will save me. Teachers spend money and do not benefit either. "It's a ride. The son wanted to get involved, and the eldest grandson said, "No." The Jin people have no faith, half involved and thin me, repent of what they have done, it is better to relieve it. "It is a retreat. Yang Zi declared, "Chu Shi is in exile. "Returned. Master Chu also returned. The eldest son of the Shangchen Shangzi said: "To be bribed by Jin and to be expelled, the shame of Chu is also a great sin." "The king killed the son on.
