Heroic Epic of 4,000 Years Ago: Shang Shu

The "Book of Shang" that we can still see today is no longer the scale of the pre-Qin era, but only the surviving chapters recovered after the Qin burned the book, and there are inevitably broken sentences in it. Due to its age, the Book of Shang has already tested the reader's ability to read and understand in the Han Dynasty. Yet its preciousness is irreplaceable.

The preciousness of the Book of Shang is also because it is magnificent. From the beginning of the flood to the construction of the city, from the first time the text saw that there were books and classics, from the calloused hands and feet to expand the territory, to the earth wind songs into the song and singing, the spring and autumn operation created the bronze world's peak hometown, suddenly the chariot rumbled, the beacon candle day, the blood can be drifted... From Yao Shunyu to Xia Shang Zhou, how many changes have occurred in life and death, and a book has become pitched in the hand.

Taosi Ancient City Ruins is located in Taosi Township, about 7 kilometers northeast of Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province, including Tao Temple, Zhongliang and other five natural villages, the excavation of the ancient city ruins of Tao Temple, so that we read the "YaoDian" to get a three-dimensional impression. Beneath the ruins, buried are creations that are linked to our bloodline today. We attach great importance to science today, and the motherland in the pre-Xia period also had the more advanced science and technology at that time, and astronomy is one of the oldest sciences. By observing the celestial signs and making calendars, our ancestors were able to make great strides into the agrarian society. The discovery of terracotta tiles transcends the "Qin brick Han tiles". The appearance of the red brass bell sounded the precursor of the Bronze Age. An important feature of Chinese civilization is that it overcame the exhaustion of military force very early on. The Chinese character "zheng" is a character that was born in the water of the rule. The oldest meaning of so-called politics is to govern society with a culture of honor and integrity. A broken clay pot sent a "Wen" character, and its greater significance does not seem to be that it was found to predate the Yin Shang Oracle, but more like a manifestation of a belief. It tells us that advocating culture and overcoming martial arts, the classic values of Chinese civilization, appeared in this land as bright red as a flag as early as the Yao era. If you think that the evidence is accidental and insufficient, look at the combination of the teeth of the pig and the 9 jade cymbals in the tomb of the Tao Temple, which clearly tells the great wisdom of a strong army to defend the country without a fight. Why was the dragon image designed in the plate? Its rounded posture in the disk is the great totem of our ancestors advocating fusion. A pine branch at the mouth of the dragon also clearly means that the world is just. Look at the plot of yao and the chief of the four mountains in the "Yao Dian" discussing water control, this is the general headquarters of flood relief in the flood more than 4,000 years ago. This ancient city of Yaodu, the Ark of China, is real, but it is not a myth or legend. In fact, the most important way to cure that great flood is not to block or loosen, but to communicate with the people of all countries and tribes and work together to jointly control the flood. Xia, in fact, in the process of Dayu's water control, many tribal people united, worked together in harmony, and integrated a national community. Looking at the accounts of the "Pingzhang people" and "Concord Wanbang" in the Yaodian, both as thoughts and practices, they are true and precious and earnest. Looking at the ancient word "堯", it is clear that it is building soil on "Wu" and then building the image of a tall city. The so-called "堯", this extraordinary symbol, is the monument of the people of this land who built this monument to this huge ancient city. Imagine that more than 4,000 years ago, there must have been a sunny day when the people stood on the high walls of the city and held a grand ceremony to celebrate the founding of the city. At that moment there will be drums and horns sounding in unison toward the long heavens, there will be flags waving in the long wind, and there will be the cheers of all the people. It is here, in the YaoDian, in the construction of the city-state in the Yao era more than 4,000 years ago, there is the heroic epic of our nation.

I am ashamed that I am difficult to describe in words, and I hope that there will be magnificent film and television works to reproduce the heroic epic of our nation's pre-Xia period, so that more people can more easily feel the wisdom of our ancestors shining on us. The so-called heroic epic, it is not that there is no war and no darkness here, in fact, the late stage of this capital was destroyed by a cruel war, and from the wreckage of the bones, you can also see the amazing barbarism and darkness, but under the ruins is still buried the once vigorous rise, buried the pursuit of harmony. I also hope that a museum will be erected on the site of the Tao Temple, so that the sons and daughters of China will always see it. Don't hesitate, don't wait. The sons and daughters of China at home and abroad need it, and a nation needs it to continue its great traditions. When the barren hills of history become the breasts of the mothers of Bandai, the children and grandchildren of Bandai can enjoy her nourishment. I look forward to one day walking into this hall that reproduces the glorious creation of my ancestors 4,000 years ago, and allowing myself to be nurtured like a child... Really, the pursuit of equality, beauty, freedom, and happiness did not begin with our generation. There is no great ideal that was long envisioned by the ancestors not very long ago, and no wisdom of life that has been practiced by the ancestors not very long ago. As the years go by today, many beautiful, warm, and precious memories are still preserved like a breeze and a drizzle like a beautiful sun in those remote and faint places. Human life, the dignity of life, and the consolation of the spirit are often torn apart by the materials created by human beings themselves, by the power of money and desire. How can I be indifferent to the Yin Yin description in the Yaodian that attaches so much importance to the people's livelihood and public opinion, and how can I be indifferent to the cultural pursuit transmitted in the Yaodu ruins?

A YaoDian is like this, but it is like the Shang Shu.

I can't help but wonder why the oldest surviving Book of Shang in China has been handed down. Why did Qin Shi Huang burn it, or even resolve to completely wipe it out of the memory of folk speech? Why did Emperor Wudi of han agree to list it as the first of the Five Classics as a textbook for the Central Taixue and used to cultivate the talents of the Great Han Dynasty? A "Book of Shang", since ancient times, it is impossible to count how many readers and how many officials read it and discuss it. The more chaotic the world, the more it became in the decadent era of power, money, hegemony, and officialdom, the more glorious it became. Why? It is not because there are many imperial deeds and royal archives in the book, but the blood lesson of the collapse of the empire and the rise of the regime has developed more and more the idea of "the people are precious". Contemporary archaeology is increasingly opening up for us ancient times that lack written records, such as the excavation of the Tao Temple site, which makes us read the "Yao Dian" not only has a canonical book, but also an ancient city and ruins...
