How did the Yellow Emperor, who had the temperament of the Central Plains, have such a close relationship with Zhejiang Jinyun in the south of the Yanyu River?
On October 14th, the Chinese Xiandu (2021) Chinese Xiandu Sacrifice Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor Ceremony will be held in the Yellow Emperor Ancestral Hall under the peak of Jinyun Xiandu Dinghu. But for many people who do not understand jinyun and yellow emperor culture, the above problems are still incomprehensible.
In fact, if you come to the 4th Yellow Emperor Cultural Symposium in China on October 12 and follow the research of scholars, you can find out the answer to why the Yellow Emperor "chose" Jinyun.

From 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., at the Fourth Symposium on Yellow Emperor Culture in China, nearly 100 experts each threw out their own unique views, involving all aspects of The Yellow Emperor's cultural research, controversial, but more common.
The Yellow Emperor's "Southward Journey"
Returning to the question at the beginning, it is generally believed that the birthplace, burial place, conquest site and capital of the Yellow Emperor are all in the Central Plains in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, and Xinzheng in Henan and Huangling in Shaanxi have always been the two dissemination centers of the Yellow Emperor culture.
Why did Jinyun, which is far away in Jiangnan, become an important dissemination center of the Yellow Emperor culture in the south, and its influence extends to all over the world?
Zhang Guangzhi, head of the advisory group of the Chinese Pre-Qin History Society and former president and professor of Qinghai Normal University, believes that this is not a whim of a person and a momentum: "The reason why Jinyun became the radiation and dissemination center of the Yellow Emperor culture in the south is because of its origin. ”
As early as the incubation period of civilization and the three generations, the Qin and Han dynasties, today's Zhejiang area has a connection with the Central Plains, Zhang Guangzhi said, these can be found in archaeological discoveries to exchange physical evidence.
"But at that time, the connection between them was not very close."
Naturally, in this kind of exchange, culture also intersected and integrated, and in the Wei and Jin Dynasties period, there were frequent wars in the north, and a large number of northerners went south, "It was in this boom of northerners moving south that the Yellow Emperor also went south." Zhang Guangzhi said that in the five dynasties of the late Tang Dynasty, especially after the Song Dynasty crossed south, with the completion of the southward shift of China's economic, cultural and political center, the Yellow Emperor culture gradually took root in the south.
Even in the Ming and Qing dynasties, China's political center shifted north again, but the economic and cultural center of gravity in the south is an immutable fact. Because of this, it is also natural that the Yellow Emperor culture is rooted and flourishing in the south.
The "choice" of the people
Jinyun is not so much the choice of the Yellow Emperor as the choice of the people.
Xiandu Mountain, known as Jinyun Mountain in ancient times. Zhang Guangzhi said that Jining in Shandong and Beibei in Chongqing each had a Jinyun Mountain, but - "Why did the descendants abandon Jining and Beibei inStead, and choose Jinyun in Zhejiang as his other foothold for the Yellow Emperor?" ”
Among them, what is contained is just an ordinary truth, Zhang Guangzhi believes that future generations to find a nest for the ancestors in the south, must consider two conditions or factors.
First, the mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the environment is good.
As a descendant, who wouldn't want to arrange a good place for their ancestors? The beauty of Jinyun landscape needless to say, more importantly, there is a strange Dinghu Peak here, which can just be linked to the legend of the Immortal Yellow Emperor's alchemy and ascension.
Second, it must be moderately far and near.
It is not possible to choose a metropolis that is too lively, because it is too lively to be conducive to the immortalization and deification of the Yellow Emperor; it is not advisable to be too distant, such as arranging in areas that are too desolate such as Saiwai and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, then the Yellow Emperor will be too free from the crowd. Jinyun is just such a beautiful scenery, unique peaks, and moderate distance.
Based on these two reasons, the Yellow Emperor culture has been able to continuously "grow" and thrive in Jinyun.
Looking for a cultural identity
Zhang Guangzhi believes that our nation has its own traditions, and this tradition is inseparable from two great figures, one is Confucius and the other is the Yellow Emperor: "For a long time, the former has united people with the ties of thought or spirit, and the latter has used the ties of blood to unite people. ”
In China, "loyalty" and "filial piety" closely link the country and the family. Zhang Guangzhi said that in the construction of this ethical politics, "the identification of the Yellow Emperor, who is both the co-lord of the world and the common ancestor of the crowd, has always played a very important role."
Of course, for a long time since the Eastern Jin Dynasty, although the influence of the Yellow Emperor in the south has increased day by day, he is still mostly attached to Taoism. Wu Zhou and Tang Xuanzong's use of Jinyun County and the change of "Jinyun Hall" to "Yellow Emperor Ancestral Hall" marked the soaring of the Yellow Emperor's faith in the south and the formal establishment of Jinyun as the center of the southern dissemination of The Yellow Emperor's culture.
In the Northern Song Dynasty, after Emperor Yingzong ordered the renaming of Jinyun's "Yellow Emperor Ancestral Hall" to "Yuxu Palace" as a Taoist temple in the second year of Zhiping (1065), the spread of The Yellow Emperor culture in Jiangnan was more deeply implanted in the hearts of the people from the perspective of the people.
In ancient China, the Yellow Emperor was given different identities, so what kind of Yellow Emperor should we worship today?
"Cultural identity is far more important than what the Yellow Emperor is." This is the consensus of all scholars, as Zhang Guangzhi said-
For a nation with a long history, culture and tradition, how to inherit, transform, and carry forward the excellent traditional culture is particularly important for the use of the past for the present. The re-raising of any historical question is not a reflection on the humor of the past, but a practical need.
In recent years, with the revitalization of the country and the rise of the nation, Chinese and overseas Chinese at home and abroad cannot help but think of the Yellow Emperor again, and remember Jinyun, the southern dissemination center of the Yellow Emperor culture, and the relevant parties are determined to make it bigger and stronger, and strive to build Jinyun into the Yellow Emperor Sacrifice Center in southern China.
