Disciple of Qi Baishi, a master of modern Chinese painting - Wang Zhujiu (40 wonderful works to appreciate)

Wang Zhujiu (1900-1966), formerly known as Ding, no. 2 stones, character Zhan Nong. Male, Han ethnicity, Henan Wuyang people, graduated from the Normal School in 1922, in 1929 to Beijing Baiqi Baishi as a teacher to study painting. After 1949, he was introduced by Xu Beihong to the Beijing Exhibition Studio, and from 1955 to 1962 he was a painter at the Beijing Fine Arts Company, and from 1963 to 1966, he was a professional painter at the Beijing China Academy of Painting. Before his death, he was a member of the Chinese Artists Association and a member of the Beijing Chinese Painting Research Society.

His creations are mainly freehand, and they are especially deeply influenced by Wu Changshuo and Qi Baishi. The works have a wide range of themes, old and spicy pen and ink, thick watts, and rich in rich life atmosphere. In 1987, his works were selected for the "Exhibition of Works of Famous Contemporary Painters" organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Palace Museum. Before his death, he held a solo exhibition in Beijing. In 1989, he held an exhibition of his posthumous works at the National Art Museum of China.
