Zhou Zhongyue (1876-1955), a native of Jianchuan, Yunnan, was the first person in the 29th year of Guangxu (1903) in the township examination.
Zhou Zhongyue took Zhao Fan as his teacher, and in 1919 he was appointed governor of Yunnan Province and a member of the provincial government, presiding over the Administration of Yunnan.
Zhou Zhongyue was a prominent figure in the Republic of China period, with outstanding merits, but the most praised by the world is his calligraphy. His famous ink treasures include the "Presidential Palace" in Nanjing and the "Stone Forest" in Yunnan.
According to the recollection article of the predecessors, longyun visited the stone forest scenic spot that year, sighed that "the vast stone sea, like a forest", gladly inscribed the word "stone forest", and asked Zhou Zhongyue to write it afterwards.

From Zhou Zhongyue's calligraphy, it can be seen that his Yan body skills are profound, and he is self-contained in lishu and so on.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhou Zhongyue was elected as a member of the First National Committee of the Consultative Conference of the Chinese Government and a librarian of the Yunnan Museum of Culture and History, standing in the ranks of the people. Before his death in 1955, he instructed his family to distribute tens of thousands of volumes of private books to Yunnan University and the Yunnan Provincial Library, and left a last word: "Those I hope, China will be unified from Here, the sun will be bright, the world will ensure peace, and the scourge of war will never end!"
