To truly walk into the past of Lintao, come to Shuanglian Village "Di Dao XiangYun" to turn around, its sense of presence far exceeds the museum. Based on the elements of Lintao people's life, Xiaocun uses a large number of old objects and open-air façade scenes to dialogue, vividly showing the material and spiritual world of The Didao people.

The era of Lintao, known as "Di Dao", is far more important to the country than the era of Lintao. The aborigines here are "Dijon" (a branch of Theron). In the year 384 BC of Qin Xian, Qin set up Yi County, Ji County, Feng Dao, Mianzhu Dao, Di Dao, etc., all of which were west of Longshan, so they were merged into Longxi County, and the administrative office was located in the westernmost Di Dao.
In the nearly 500 years from the Warring States to the Qin and Han Dynasties, the jurisdiction of Longxi County has been expanding, covering a large area in eastern Qinghai, southern Ningxia and central Gansu, and Didao has always been the political, military, economic and cultural center of Longxi County. It was equivalent to the current western capital.

Di Dao was mainly used as a military stronghold against Xi Rong during the Warring States period. The westernmost point of the Great Wall of Qin is on the tao river. Later, the Qin general Sima Zhuo entered Shuzhong from this passage, completing the expansion of the Qin state to the southwest.

The first county guard sent by Qin to Longxi Di Dao was "Li Chong". Li Chong's descendants lived in Di Dao. Among them, Li Shang, the father of the Fei general Li Guang, moved his family from Di Dao to Chengji (present-day Pingliang Jingning, Gansu) when Ren Chengji ordered him to do so. Li Guang's sixteenth grandson, Li Xuan (hào) (351–417), was known as "King Wuzhao of Western Liang". In the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Taizong established Li Huan, the "King of Western Liangwu Zhao", as his ancestor and declared his ancestral home in Longxi. For a time, the vassal states and foreign tribes around the Tang Dynasty were proud to be given the surname Longxi Li. Today, since Li Chong's first longxi county guarded the family di dao, there have been more than 2,000 years of history, "Longxi Li clan" has gone south and north, talents have emerged, spread at home and abroad, and has formed the world's largest surname of more than 100 million people.

Di Dao relied on the Tao River to irrigate farmland, coupled with the invention of iron farming tools and the promotion of cattle farming in the Han Dynasty, which made agriculture develop rapidly. During the Jing Emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, the Qiang people who lived in Qinghai were moved to the area of Lintao and Min County, which increased a lot of labor productivity. The Eastern Han Dynasty Shangshu Servant Once Gave the Han Shun Emperor a Song Shu Zhong: "On both sides of the Tao River, there are thousands of miles of fertile fields, grain is accumulated, and military food is enough." At the same time, the fine forage alfalfa and oil crop flax brought by Zhang Qian on the mission to the western region were widely cultivated and promoted here, and to this day, these crop varieties are still important agricultural products in Dingxi.

This road was called the South Road of the Longxi Section of the Silk Road by later scholars. The Shulong Passage was also formed during this period. The Shu people traveled north along the Bailong River, passing through present-day Wen County, Wudu, Tangchang, and Weiyuan, and arrived at Didao.

In several murals in the Yulin Grottoes in Guazhou, Dunhuang, the name of the Lintao painter appears. At the same time that Tubo spread Tibetan Buddhism to Lintao, thangka art also began to flourish in Lintao.

In the first year of the Song Dynasty (1068), Wang Shao, who was appointed as the driver of Qinfeng Road, led an army to defeat the armies of Longxi Qiang and Western Xia, expanded the border for more than 2,000 miles, and Returned Di Dao to Han jurisdiction.
