At the Lushan Conference in 1959, on July 14, Peng Dehuai wrote a letter to Mao Zedong stating his views on the Great Leap Forward and the people's communization movement. The main purpose of the work is to exhort the children of the nobility not to indulge too much in comfort and pleasure, expressing the author's dissatisfaction with the decay and indulgence of the aristocratic group.
