Mystery Dating is a 1985 American comedy film directed by Susan Seidman, starring Rosanna Arquette and Madonna. Set in New York, the plot involves an interaction between two women, a bored housewife and a bohemian wanderer linked together through various messages in a newspaper's personal column.

The film was Madonna's first major screen role and also provided early roles for other notable actors such as John Terturro, Laurie Metcalfe, Aidan Quinn and Steven Wright. Named one of the top ten best films of 1985 by the New York Times.
