According to the statistics of the Ministry of Education of Romania, as of the 20th, the number of confirmed cases of new crown among preschool children and primary and secondary school students in the country was 16,168, and the number of confirmed cases of teachers and staff reached 5,590. A total of 480 children are currently hospitalized, 39 of whom are seriously ill.
All primary and secondary schools in Romania have resumed their classes since this semester. According to the epidemic prevention regulations, if a confirmed case of new crown is found in a class in the school, the class will be changed to an online class; if more than half of the classes of a school are online, the whole school will be changed to online classes.
According to the data released by the health department of the Romanian government on the 20th, the country added 17,158 new confirmed cases of new crown compared with the previous day, with a cumulative total of 1503422 confirmed cases; 423 new deaths and 43,039 cumulative deaths.
