The loneliness after the glory - the almost forgotten Northeast Xiangsheng

author:Lee eats and drinks

When it comes to crosstalk, the first thing most people will think of is Beijing and Tianjin. Yes, Beijing is the birthplace of crosstalk, and Tianjin is the place where crosstalk develops. In fact, as the "eldest son of the republic", the three northeastern provinces also had a glorious period of cross-talk.

Speaking of the representative figures of Northeast Xiangsheng, we must first promote Liu Zhenhua and Jin Bingchang of Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

Yang Zhenhua was born in Shenyang on April 4, 1936, to an ordinary worker family. After graduating from Shenyang Railway Middle School in 1953, he successively served as a police officer and clerk in the traffic police brigade of the Shenyang Municipal Public Security Bureau.

He loves music, can sing and dance, and his favorite is still cross-talk, and since then, he has begun to use his spare time to create and perform cross-talk with some like-minded friends.

At the end of 1957, together with his old partners Yang Jinsheng and Jin Bingchang, he worshiped Mr. Yang Haiquan as a teacher.

Born in 1931, Jin Bingchang loved crosstalk since childhood, often went to Xidan Qiming Tea House or Tianqiao to listen to crosstalk, and witnessed the style of Hou Baolin, Guo Qiru, Chang Lian'an, Chang Baokun and other cross-talk masters.

In 1950, Kim Byung-chang, who was studying at the North China People's Revolutionary University (the predecessor of the current Chinese Min University), heard the news of the outbreak of the Korean War, and with a warm heart, he threw himself into the Pen and threw himself into the Chinese Volunteer Army and rushed to the Korean front. However, under the wrong yin and yang, Jin Bingchang was left behind to build a barracks when he arrived in Shenyang, and did not "cross the Yalu River" like other colleagues.

The common love and dedication to crosstalk brought the two people together and formed a cooperative partnership.

During the Cultural Revolution, both were treated unfairly: Jin Bingchang, along with his wife Fu Lanying, who was also a cross-talk actor, was sent to Shenyang Garment Company as a workshop worker. Yang Zhenhua, even more miserable, was sent to Tianshui, Gansu, far northwest.

After the end of the ten years of catastrophe, the two people burst out with unprecedented creative enthusiasm, and their masterpieces were frequently produced, and the two became the pioneers of the "golden generation" of Shenyang Xiangsheng in the early 1980s. He has created and performed "Special Life", "Good Dreams Are Not Long" (also known as "Big Pants"), "False Big Void", "Oil and Water Big", "Chess", "Shuo Erye", "Family Planning", "Eight Character Puzzle" and so on. These passages not only caused a sensation in Shenyang but also went to the whole country through radio waves and television screens. Among them, "Playing Chess" was included in the "Crosstalk "TV"" column of Quyuan Zatan, and "The Eight Character Puzzle" was even on the stage of the Spring Festival Gala in 1993.

It can be said that the two represent the highest level of northeast cross-talk, and there is no need to question it.

However, the cooperation between the two has not been smooth.

At that time, Yang Zhenhua was somewhat similar to the future Guo Degang, who had independent thinking and opinions on cross-talk art, and was unwilling to "go along with some artistic mediocres". At the same time, he also suffered from the jealousy and exclusion of his peers, the so-called wood show in the forest, the wind will destroy it. For these reasons, in 1981, he resigned and went it alone, breaking the "big pot of rice", "don't want the state to go to the country for a penny" and set up the "Zhangjiakou Yang Zhenhua Cross-talk Art Troupe", and his partner Yang Jinbingchang did not go with him. Years later, his explanation for this was the self-evaluation: "My life is too ordinary." Yang Zhenhua's trip to Zhangjiakou was not successful, and within a year, the art troupe collapsed.

Since then, Yang Zhenhua has traveled alone in Beijing, Dalian, Mudanjiang and other places, becoming a veritable wandering artist. In 1988, Yang Zhenhua, tired of wandering around, returned to his hometown of Shenyang. Since then, he has disappeared from the public eye for many years.

In the mid-1990s, Yang Zhenhua re-emerged from the jianghu and cooperated with Kim Byung-chang, who had retired at this time, and once again became brilliant for a period of time. Representative works of this period include "Who Do You Think You Are", "Animal World", "Often Go Home to See", "After Getting Rich" (Ma Ji and Liu Wei and Zhao Yan also said this period, but changed the name to "Such a Big Money") and so on.

At 12:30 p.m. on January 5, 2013, Jin Bingchang died of heart failure at the general hospital of Shenyang Military Region at the age of 82. The legend of the two people who have worked together for decades has also come to an end.

The loneliness after the glory - the almost forgotten Northeast Xiangsheng

Chang Peiye and Jia Chengbo

Chang Peiye's father was a university English professor, which was very rare in the cross-talk industry at that time. Despite this family environment, Chang Peiye, who was extremely obsessed with cross-talk, resolutely chose to go to the student class of Shenyang Qu Art Troupe to become a student when he graduated from primary school and was not yet 12 years old. It is worth mentioning in particular that Chang Peiye was Ma Ji's only apprentice in the three northeastern provinces.

In the days when Yang Zhenhua left the Shenyang Qu Art Troupe, Chang Peiye filled his gap and cooperated with Jin Bingchang in many good pieces, representing the work "Before Dying", which won the national award. The two worked together for 13 years until Kim Byung-chang retired.

The loneliness after the glory - the almost forgotten Northeast Xiangsheng

In 1976, a handsome 20-year-old boy walked into the door of the Shenyang Qu Art Troupe. He is Jia Chengbo, a cross-talk actor who worships Zhao Zhenduo. At that time, Jia Chengbo was very handsome, far from today's "bear-like", so that for a long time, he was a announcer of the Shenyang Qu Art Troupe.

After Kim Byung-chang retired, he began to cooperate with Chang Peiye. This cooperation has been going on for more than a decade.

Jia Chengbo has participated in various variety shows many times, and has filmed a number of TV short dramas and series of sketches, and the Northeast style series sketch "Jia Liu" starring him has a great influence on the audience in Shenyang.

What really pushed the two to the country was the third national cross-talk competition in 2006, the two won the first prize with a piece of "Unity and Unity", and Jia Chengbo also won the best praise award. However, this first prize has considerable controversy: First, it is said that before the final, many contestants and judges had rumors that "Unite as One to Get the Grand Prize" has been set as the first prize, and there are also text messages as evidence, saying that it is the same. Secondly, the author column of the work is proudly written with the name of "Ma Ji", which makes people suspect that the melon field is under the lixia. Finally, the work has considerable similarities with the content of "Sending Red Envelopes" that Ma Ji and Liu Wei have performed in "Quyuan Zatan" before, and the main laugh points are almost exactly the same. Interested friends can search on the Internet and compare themselves.

But now think about it, whether it is "Send Red Packets" or "Unite as One to Get the Grand Prize", the author also has the name of "Chang Peiye", and this prize is quite reasonable. This is not only an affirmation of the work, but also a belated reward for the two to stick to the Shenyang cross-talk position. At that time, Chang Peiye was 56 years old, and Jia Chengbo was already 50 years old. This is their last chance.

Fan Wei, many people will be surprised to say it, Fan Wei was actually a cross-talk actor at the earliest, in 1978, 16-year-old Fan Wei studied cross-talk performance from Chen Lianzhong, an actor of the Shenyang Qu Art Troupe. In 1983, the 21-year-old Fan Wei officially became a cross-talk actor in the Shenyang Qu Art Troupe, and formed a mentor-apprentice partnership with Chen Lianzhong. Young Fan Wei, amazing creative ability. His first work, "The Diary of a Factory Director", made the leaders of the Qu Art Troupe feel refreshed and recommended it to the Central People's Radio for performance. Since then, Fan Wei has become the "pillar" of the Shenyang Qu Art Troupe. In the next few years, Fan Wei represented the Shenyang Qu Art Troupe and won several awards in many cross-talk competitions with his performances and creations of "Nothing To Do", "Eating Its Own Fruit", "The Revelation of the "Hero"", "Five Years" and other classic works.

Discovered by Zhao Benshan, who was also developing in Shenyang at that time, on the Spring Festival Gala stage in 1995, the two performed the sketch "Uncle Niu Tigan" together, and then formed an "iron triangle" with Zhao Benshan and Gao Xiumin to open the invincible years of dominating the Chinese sketch industry for more than ten years. Left Shenyang and Zhao Benshan to develop in Beijing. At this time, Fan Wei has positioned himself as a film and television actor.

The loneliness after the glory - the almost forgotten Northeast Xiangsheng

Nowadays, Fan Wei has become a Golden Horse Film Emperor, and it has become a luxury to see him perform cross-talk on stage.

Wang Ping, the iconic figure of the late "Golden Generation" of Shenyang Xiangsheng, is the best among the middle-aged and young cross-talk actors in Northeast China. He is a military comedian (head of the Liaoning Provincial Fire Art Troupe of the Armed Police, the rank of colonel of the Armed Police, and a cadre at the level of a full division), and an all-round player - a cross-talk actor, a sketch actor, a film and television actor, and a program host. Because of his military status, Wang Ping's works are not too popular. But almost every one of them is a boutique. Cross-talk "Talk Well", "How to Be Good", sketches "My Sun", "Dream Home" and so on are impressive.

Wang Ping died of a sudden heart attack on February 22, 2013 at the age of 50.

It is precisely because of the continuous emergence of so many cross-talk talents that Shenyang has become the "third city of China's cross-talk" in the 1980s and 1990s.

The loneliness after the glory - the almost forgotten Northeast Xiangsheng

Having said Shenyang, let's turn our attention to Dalian, a coastal city in Liaoning Province.

There is a cross-talk actor here that I don't want to say but have to say, he is Chen Hanbai.

Chen Hanbai, who has loved the art of cross-talk performance since he was a child, has finally become a cross-talk actor with his own efforts. By chance, he entered third master Hou's door. To be fair, Chen Hanbai's cross-talk is still OK. When I was young, I often saw her crosstalk on TV, which brought me a lot of joy. In 2003, he also won the first prize and the best "double champion" at the second National Television CrossTalk Competition. But in addition to cross-talk, he has too many behaviors that make people shock the three views: in the variety show, he said that his wife usually called himself Daddy. Frequent endorsement of health care products, in public to burst out of the foul language and insults beijing fans. Worshipped a number of dry fathers (there are four known public ones, including the master who Guo Degang did not recognize, Yang Zhigang, the former director of the Tianjin Hongqiao District Cultural Center, and Shi Shengjie, who is only four years older than him)

The loneliness after the glory - the almost forgotten Northeast Xiangsheng

In view of the fact that this person has too many points of complaint, I do not want to say more, and I have passed it all.

As for his partner Wang Minmai, he was decent, and he studied under Shi Shengjie, and then found a theoretical basis for Chen Hanbai to worship Gan Dad (there is a tradition in the cross-talk industry to worship the partner's master as a righteous father).

This is the case in Liaoning Province, let's talk about Jilin.

At the end of 1956, Tianjin Radio recommended a young cross-talk actor to Changchun, the city of Jilin Province, whose purpose was to support the cause of Jilin music and participate in the establishment of the newly established Jilin Radio Qu Art Troupe. He is the son of cross-talk actor Ma Guiyuan and the nephew of Ma Sanli of Cross-talk Taidou Ma Sanli.

In the 1970s, Ma Jingbo took in an apprentice named Liu Wei. It's just that at the beginning, this young man was not accustomed to the ugly phenomena such as seniority ranking and personnel dumping in the Qu Art Troupe. Later, he was admitted to the acting department of the Shanghai Theater Academy and ran to become an actor. A few years after graduation, he starred in a costume drama of "Tang Ming Huang", which caused a sensation across the country. The cross-talk knowledge learned in the early years was naturally abandoned long ago.

In 1985, the Jilin Provincial Ququ Association, radio stations, television stations and other five units jointly launched the "China's Top Ten Comedy Stars" selection activity for the national cross-talk actors at that time, although the final list of winners was somewhat controversial, but in general it was relatively objective and more accurately reflected the highest level of Chinese cross-talk at that time. There is no ancient person before such a cross-talk event, and it is most likely that there is no one after it.

After talking about Liaoning and Jilin provinces, it is the turn of Heilongjiang in the snowy plains of Linhai.

It must be the master who wins the victory. Shi Shengjie is the so-called "born in the door". His father was Mr. Shi Shiyuan, a famous cross-talk artist who was active in Beijing and Tianjin before liberation. After liberation, the young Shi Shengjie followed his parents to the distant ice city of Harbin. The reason why they went north with their families was the same as Ma Jingbo above, supporting the construction of music and art in Heilongjiang.

Sometimes I have to lament the strength of genetics, the young Shi Shengjie was influenced by the family environment, and for cross-talk performances, he was actually self-taught. When he was a teenager, Shi Shengjie Harbin was already famous.

As the saying goes: there are unpredictable storms in the sky, and people have bad luck and bad luck. When the frenzy of the Cultural Revolution struck, the fate of Shi Shengjie's entire family was on the verge of collapse:

Father Shiyuan felt unjust and eventually committed suicide with injustice. The older brother was branded an "active counter-revolutionary". As a member of the "Black Five Categories", he was assigned to the Heilongjiang Production and Construction Corps in the Northern Wilderness for "Labor Reform". Here, in addition to borrowing wine to pour sorrow, (Shi used to work in the pot of winemaking, and it did not cost money to drink wine. However, long-term drinking also has a certain relationship with his premature death) and only crosstalk is regarded as the only consolation.

Fortunately, in this world, it is gold that will shine sooner or later. In 1976, the Heilongjiang Production and Construction Corps specially organized a training course to welcome the Heilongjiang Provincial Quyi Tuning Performance. In the class, he met a zhiqing from Beijing, who was three years older than him, and his name was Jiang Kun. Although Jiang Kun at that time could not say that he was a cross-talker, he was modest, diligent, humorous, and good at blowing and singing. The superior leaders let the two cooperate, and finally the cross-talk "Lin Hai Qunying", which reflected the true life of the Corps, was created and performed by the two of them, which not only caused a sensation in the Corps and Heilongjiang Province. Jiang Kun was smoothly transferred away by the China Radio Art Troupe led by Ma Ji, but Shi Shengjie still stayed in because of family reasons, still staying in bereaved in because of family reasons, and continued to do his "peasant work".

Fortunately, it didn't take long for the Cultural Revolution to end and the Gang of Four collapsed. At the end of the year, Shi Shengjie was transferred to the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Theater Quyi Team, and he finally became a professional cross-talk actor as he wished.

Bathed in the spring breeze of reform and opening up, Shi Shengjie went deep into life and devoted himself to creation, and successively wrote a number of works that have withstood the test of time and been widely circulated, such as "I want to make up lessons", "Between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law", and "Drunken Song". In 1981, he composed and performed the praise-type cross-talk "Mayor Hao", which won two first prizes in the national song and art performance, which was also the first time that Shi Shengjie won the national award. In 1982, he participated in the National Excellent Quyi Program Tour organized by the Ministry of Culture, and he was one of the two pairs of cross-talk actors selected by the country. In 1983, he participated in the Heilongjiang Provincial Quyi Art Competition, and his cross-talk performance "Girls and Boys Don't Be Like This" won the first prize.

In 1984, Shi Shengjie took a new work, "Liver and Gallbladder Photo", to participate in the national cross-talk new work performance competition, and won the first prize. Shi Shengjie did not expect in his dreams that the competition held in Qingdao had achieved a new turn and leap in his artistic life.

Mr. Hou Baolin, the Grandmaster of the First Generation, was the artistic consultant of that appraisal activity. Listening to Shi Shengjie's cross-talk, Mr. Hou was very excited. At the summary meeting held the day after the end of the competition, Mr. Hou praised Shi Shengjie greatly, almost all of which was said to him, so that Hou Baolin, who had not accepted apprentices for more than thirty years, had the intention of loving talents and revealed his desire to accept him as a disciple of Guan.

Mr. Hou Baolin wants to accept another disciple, which is undoubtedly a major event in the cross-talk world. Mr. Hou's wife and Mr. Ma Sanli made a special trip from Beijing and Tianjin to Qingdao respectively. Finally, at the Friendship Hotel in Qingdao, a grand ceremony was held.

At the ceremony, Hou Baolin publicly announced to all the colleagues in the cross-talk circle present that various news media who came to interview shi Shengjie as his closed disciple.

After saying that, he also took the large diamond ring he had treasured and worn for many years from his hand in public and put it on Shi Shengjie's finger.

For this reason, Shi Shengjie's relationship with the Hou family is very good, and it belongs to the kind that Chinese New Year's Eve make dumplings together to spend Chinese New Year's Eve together. At the memorial service of Master Hou Baolin, Shi Shengjie was also so sad that he wept bitterly and prostrated his head and knelt down.

In 1985, Shi Shengjie was awarded the title of "China's Top Ten Laughing Stars". You know, he is the youngest of the "Top Ten Laughing Stars", the only inductee from outside Beijing, and the only one from a local literary and art unit. Such a prominent siege is even more full of gold.

Although Shi Shengjie's cross-talk artistic career has worked with Zhao Baole, Sun Chen, Yu Shide, Feng Yongzhi and other partners. However, his cross-talk creation and performance level has declined without the replacement of partners. On the contrary, it is constantly changing and improving.

Facts have proved that Shi Shengjie is a well-deserved northeast cross-talk collector, and it is not too much to say that he is the best cross-talk actor in the three northeastern provinces.

Shi Shengjie is not only an excellent cross-talk actor, but also an excellent cross-talk educator: his top disciple Liu Tong won the Best Comic Award in the first National Cross-talk Competition and is now the leader of the Heilongjiang Qu Art Troupe. The second disciple, Zou Dejiang, was popular early on because of the series "Smart Drama" in "For quyuan zatan". Li Jing, the former young gang leader of the Beijing Deyun Society, is also his high foot.

At 21:43:36 on September 28, 2018, Shi Shengjie died in Harbin at the age of 66 due to ineffective medical treatment

If there is any cross-talk actor besides Shi Shengjie who can represent Heilongjiang, it is Liu Liu. Liu Liu, whose original name was Liu Yanbin, was born in 1963 in the railway compound of Harbin. You may not have thought that Liu Liu, who is now wide-hearted and fat, was actually a sports school athlete when he was a teenager. What a man!

In 1981, he liked to listen to cross-talk and attended a training class organized by the Heilongjiang Provincial Qu Art Troupe at that time. Taking this opportunity, he also became a "temporary worker" in the Heilongjiang Provincial Qu Art Troupe. Don't look at it as a "temporary worker", but it is the main actor. A few years later, because of his excellent ability, he turned right. Later, he became the leader of the regiment.

The loneliness after the glory - the almost forgotten Northeast Xiangsheng

Liu Liu studied under the cross-talk actor Zhao Chuntian, although Zhao Chuntian is not very famous, but the generation score is very high, which also leads to Liu Liu's generation score is not low. Even if Jiang Kun and Guo Degang saw him, according to their generations, they had to call him "Uncle Shi".

Liu Liu became famous in the early 1990s, and his representative work is the famous "Pipe Fighting Wealth". After that, Liu Liu was active in variety shows such as Variety Show Grand View and even on the stage of CCTV Spring Festival Gala.

After the new millennium, Liu Liu and Zhao Benshan began to cooperate, joined the local media, and served as vice president. He not only starred in a series of film and television dramas produced by Benshan Media, (the most famous is the "Liu Big Head" in the "Rural Love" series) but also single-handedly promoted the cooperation between Benshan Media and Heilongjiang Satellite TV to create a variety show "Benshan Happy Camp" tailored for "Zhao Jiaban".

In recent years, Liu Liu has also left Zhao Benshan and Benshan Media and developed independently.

Liu Liu's connections and strength in Heilongjiang are very strong. This can be seen from the fact that his precious daughter, who has been studying abroad for many years, is married to the richest man in Hegang.
