Text/Zeng Tang

The Chinese nation has a history of 5,000 years of civilization and has a long history of historical and cultural life and customs. In particular, various festival cultures have brought spiritual pleasure and spiritual comfort to the vast number of people. For example, the Spring Festival sticker Spring Festival, the New Year, the fifteenth flower lantern of the first month, the tomb sweeping of willows in the Qingming Festival, the Dumpling Dumplings in the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival Moon Worship, the Lapa Eight Festival Sweeping Houses, and so on. These traditional customs express the beautiful yearning and vision of the vast number of people at a certain level.

My hometown is located at the junction of the three provinces of Jilu and Yu

Spring Festival when the end of kong ming lanterns

On the Old Road of the Yellow River, there is a traditional custom of making flower lanterns in the village. In my memory, every New Year's Day, the people in the village make some various lanterns. Hexagonal, lotus-shaped, watermelon-shaped, rabbit lamp, rooster lamp, mouse lamp, vivid and vivid. From the first to the fifteenth night of the New Year's Lantern Festival, children carry lanterns with wooden sticks, light a candle, and come to the street to compete whose lights are good.

There is also a kind of lamp that adults play with called "cloud lamp". The cloud lamp is shaped like a round barrel, framed with bamboo sticks, and tightly pasted with white paper, leaving only the part open, leaving a fixed fuel position. When the lamp is placed, the fuel is lit, and the lantern slowly lifts off with the help of the air wave generated by the combustion.

According to legend, the "cloud lamp" was invented by Zhuge Liang. During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang was once trapped in Pingyang City by Sima Yi's troops, and several times he sent people to rescue the troops, but they were intercepted and killed by the enemy. In desperation, Zhuge Liang used the principle of hot air balloons to make a lantern and tie up the distress message. After the lantern is released, it uses the wind to float to the base camp. The base camp received the distress message and immediately rescued the soldiers and rescued Zhuge Liang from danger. The story of Zhuge Liang putting on a lamp to rescue the soldiers, after word of mouth, evolved into a way for people to pray for the wishes in their hearts, which means to pin the good wishes in their hearts on the lantern, let the lantern rise to the heavenly court, and pray for the help of the gods to realize the wish. Because the cloud lamp was invented by Zhuge Liang, it is academically called "Kong Ming Lantern", and modern young people are called wishing lamps.

This is also the reason why people put on lanterns during the New Year's Festival.

As everyone knows, this kind of lantern behavior has great security risks.

I remember that on the fifteenth day of the first month of the previous year, the square of the county town was crowded with people. A wide variety of traditional handicrafts abound. In the evening, someone in the square sold Kong Ming lanterns. Young people rushed to buy it, then lit it, let it fly, and then very religiously closed their eyes, folded their hands, and silently made a wish. The lantern with only hope rose slowly and gathered over the square into a sea of flowers. With a slight south wind, the small flowers began to drift slowly north. The twinkling lights are brilliant in the blue night sky of the city, like a flowing landscape.

Who would have thought that a fire that should not have happened was quietly coming.

In the northern part of the county seat, farmers grow vegetable greenhouses. During the Spring Festival, the coldest time of the year, the vegetable greenhouses are covered with thick grass to keep the growing vegetables warm.

The Kong Ming lanterns that floated from the city ran out of fuel when they floated over the greenhouses. Without the heat power, the Kong Ming lamp began to fall. Some unburned fuel fell on the greenhouse, igniting the grass. The fire rose in an instant, and it was impossible to get close. By the time the three fire trucks arrived, a dozen greenhouses had burned to ashes.

The fire destroyed twelve greenhouses, and the losses of twelve peasant families amounted to nearly one million yuan.

There is a way: water and fire are merciless. It turns out that once a fire breaks out, anything will disappear in an instant, hoping to be destroyed. This is a bitter lesson to remember!

Every New Year's Festival, it is not impossible to hold some recreational activities, but we must put safety first, and we must make a feasible plan before the event. Always tighten the string of safety.

On the occasion of the Spring Festival, we remind everyone that fireworks and firecrackers are inevitable, but they must be entertained in the prescribed area, and at the end of the event, remember not to leave a spark.

Local governments must strictly control and prohibit the display of Kong Ming lanterns during the Spring Festival! (1227 words)
