The foothills of Yunwu Mountain are about 1200-1500 meters above sea level, the peaks are stacked, the clouds are misty all year round, the streams and springs are longitudinal, the climate is mild, the rainfall is abundant, the climate is approximately subtropical, the soil is Triassic sandy shale, the soil layer is deep and fertile, the organic matter content is high, and it has a unique environment suitable for the growth of tea plants.

Yunwu Mountain is one of the origins of Chinese tea plants. As early as 2,000 years ago, the Miao and Buyi people who lived in the mountains of Yunwu Mountain began to cultivate from the original high tree tea to the artificial cultivation of tea trees, they were one of the ancestors of the world's earliest discovery of tea trees, the use of tea leaves and the cultivation of tea trees, the tea in the cloud tea "Bird King Tea" and "Dong Miao Tea" were produced in the Miao village bird king village.

According to legend, Yunwu tea was listed as a tribute tea of the imperial court during the Tang Dynasty, and was rated as one of the eight famous teas in the country by the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. According to relevant historical records, the current record of tribute tea found is the second year of Tai'an of the Yuan Dynasty (1325), the fifth year of Ming Hongwu as a tribute to the imperial palace, the Qing "Kangxi Guizhou Tongzhi" recorded: "All the genera in Qian Province produce tea, and Guiding Cloud mist is the most famous."

Guiding cloud tea is rich in tea polyphenols, amino acids, caffeine, catechins, excellent quality, rich in nutrition, high aroma, sweet and mellow, long aftertaste. Professor Chen Rafter, a famous scholar in China and a master of Chinese tea science, directly wrote a poem praising Guiding Cloud Mist Tea: "Gui Zhao Ding Hook, Qing Ming Gong Xiu." Clouds, seas and fog, quality and excellence". In 2002, Yunwu Tea won the Gold Award at the 4th International Famous Tea Appraisal Conference.
