Born in Hong Kong in 1951, Shi Nansheng's father was a businessman and he lived a rich and happy life since childhood.

Fearing that his daughter would be harmed, his father sent Shi Nansheng, a junior high school student, to Ghana, Africa, to study.

Alone in a foreign country, the young Shi Nansheng did not relax his requirements for himself, and worked hard to enter the university and study computer and statistics.
Shi's mother, who is far away in Hong Kong, is concerned about her daughter's Chinese qualities and sends some ancient poetry books to her daughter from time to time.
During her study abroad, Shi Nansheng learned both cutting-edge disciplines and did not abandon oriental culture, which made her unique character - both bold and capable, but also gentle and accommodating.
In 1975, after graduating from university, Shi Nansheng returned to Hong Kong to join a public relations company, and three years later, she transferred to a television station, and became an assistant director with excellent ability.

After joining New Art City, she grasped the film producer and behind-the-scenes producer, and set up a systematic management model, leading a group of men to break through the movie rivers and lakes, and successively launched high-grossing films such as "Best Partner" and "Happy Ghost".
Under the leadership of Shi Nansheng, new art city production became the guarantee of the film box office. In its heyday, the reputation of New Art City surpassed the two major film giants of Jiahe and Shaw.
Unfortunately, when New Art City became more and more successful, several partners had conflicts over the distribution of benefits, and Xu Ke chose to quit and set up his own film studio.

In 2017, she won the Berlin Film Festival Photography Award, becoming the first female producer to win the award at the Berlinale.
Although she is nearly seventy years old, she is as radiant and temperamental as ever every time she appears.
