The province's grain industry output value, sales revenue, processing and transformation capacity, product output and other major indicators for many years ranked first in the country, the scale of processing ranked in the forefront. At present, the annual processing capacity of deep processing enterprises in the province is 27.75 million tons, the annual production capacity of feed is 50.96 million tons, and the annual oil processing capacity of edible oil is 25.69 million tons, ranking first in the country; the grain processing conversion rate has reached 158%, ranking the forefront of the country. According to statistics, in 2020, Shandong produced 22% of the country's flour, 58% of peanut oil, 42% starch, and 17% of feed.

On January 21 this year, the China Cereals and Oils Society announced the results of the selection of "China Good Grains and Oils" products, and 37 products of 24 enterprises in Shandong were successfully selected, ranking first in the country in terms of product quantity. The developed flour group located in Xiajin, Texas, processes 2 million tons of wheat per year and achieved sales revenue of 1.603 billion yuan in the first half of 2021, an increase of 27.24% year-on-year.
