According to the Hollywood Reporter on September 22, "A Beautiful Mind" and "Dialogue with Nixon" director Ron Howard will direct the film adapted from the autobiography of Chinese pianist Lang Lang Lang, "A Journey of a Thousand Miles: My Story", which will be filmed in China and the United States, in Mandarin and English.

In addition, Lang Lang himself will join as the film's executive producer, while Kieran McLane and Michelle Meloney, screenwriters of PaperMan, Sherlock Holmes 2: Shadow Game, will work together on the script.

Among Hollywood's famous directors, Howard is definitely a big winner in the field of biographical films. His "A Beautiful Mind" for Nobel Laureate John Forbes Nash won best picture at the 74th Academy Awards, for which he won best director at that Academy Award.

He also directed the documentary Pavarotti and the drama adaptation of Conversations with Nixon, which was nominated for Best Picture at the 81st Academy Awards.

After completing the MGM thriller Thirteen Lives, based on a Thai cave rescue story, Howard will devote himself to the filming of Lang Lang's biography.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on Lang Lang's autobiography "A Journey of a Thousand Miles: My Story" co-authored with American writer Ritz, which was published in 2008.

In terms of scripts, kieran mclanie and Michelle Meloney, who have collaborated many times in works such as "Paper Man" and "Sherlock Holmes 2: Shadow Game", will work together.
