Hello everyone! Welcome to the Douyin Art Creators Conference.

First of all, I would like to give special thanks to the vast number of art institutions, artists and art scholars, on the platform of Douyin, which provides such a variety of artistic content for the majority of users. It not only brings art, which is resonant and sensual, into douyin, but also influences many people and sows small seeds of art and aesthetics in the hearts of many people.

In fact, attending this party launched in the name of "art" today, as an Internet person and a product manager, I have a long-lost feeling. Few people know that I had a strong interest in art at a very young age, studied painting since I was a child, and even took the college entrance examination as an art student. I believe that this should be a more special existence in the world of product managers.

The training and edification of art will actually affect people's lives. Although I have rarely painted seriously after graduation, whether it is in life or making products, the pursuit of beauty and beautiful things has never stopped for a moment.

For example, 4 and a half years ago, when the Douyin project was just launched, the team put forward high aesthetic requirements in the design of brand positioning, ICON, and interface interaction. For example, the logo of Douyin, in fact, the creative inspiration comes from the visual effect after the interference of the radio waves, like a kind of "fault art", there is a visual sense of vertigo, which is impressive.

Douyin's brand positioning extends around the direction of the product values we want to convey: "recording a better life". I hope that in ordinary life, you can also have a pair of eyes to find good. And vibrato, on the other hand, is the tool that records the good.

In the design of the product, we not only adopted the form of full-screen HD, but also thought about how to help UGC express itself freely and freely like an "artist". Therefore, we especially regarded "music" as a necessary element and designed it. Because the beautiful feelings are three-dimensional and emotional, the visual colors and the melody of the music can resonate with people more. And the desire to be inspired and recorded is often stimulated and created at this time.

The video-based expression makes Douyin a platform that is inherently very close to art. This is why Douyin naturally attracted a large number of art-related creations in the early stage of content ecological construction. I remember that half a year after Douyin was launched, dance, painting, calligraphy, poetry, music, these common art categories have rapidly developed on Douyin and become the most popular content.

By June 2019, the creation and consumption of art content on Douyin had begun to take shape. Seeing this, Hu Zhifeng, vice president of the Beijing Film Academy, suggested that we launch a support program for art creators, which is actually the inspiration for the "DOU Art Project".

In the more than a year after the launch of the "DOU Art Project", dozens of art institutions and thousands of artists have joined in, as the most professional "art mentors" on the platform, and the majority of art lovers, together to explore more artistic expression, using a lot of innovative ways, interpreting the charm of art, passing on the power of beauty.

Gombrich said in his book The Story of Art: "There is no such thing as art, only artists". I particularly agree with the idea that art is really an expression, emotion, and value of an artist. I believe that where the artist is, the art is there; where the art is, the beauty is there.
