On the morning of June 28, Liu Jie, director of the management committee of the East Lake High-tech Zone and mayor of Wutang Lake Port District, led a team to investigate the management and protection of the water body of Wutang Lake Port, and required overall planning and systematic governance to ensure the effective improvement of the water system environment.
Wutang Lake Port starts from Wutang Lake in Leopard Mountain, the downstream is connected to Leopard Lake, belongs to the Liangzi Lake water system, with a total length of 5.7 kilometers and a width of about 15 meters, mainly to undertake rainwater in the southern area of leopard overpass, and finally discharged south into Leopard Lake, which is currently Class III water quality.
According to the scope of the inspection of the river and lake chief and the requirements of the object, Liu Jie and his party inspected the lake in the lower reaches of the water system. At the scene, the shoreline of the port canal is clean, the water is complete, and the water conservancy facilities are complete. The problems found during the last inspection have all been rectified.
Liu Jie affirmed the work results of relevant departments and water system territories, and called for following the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on inspecting Hubei, in accordance with the work requirements of the municipal command for the river and lake chief system, and with a high sense of political responsibility, fully perform and implement the responsibility of water environment and river basin governance.
Wutang Lake Port is located in the planning range of Hubei East Lake Science City. Liu Jie stressed that the water environment governance and maintenance of Wutang Lake Port is related to the ecological environment of East Lake Science City. It is necessary to protect the natural landscape from the source, to solve the water system function first, and then improve the aesthetics of the idea, to promote the promotion of water system ecology and the construction of hardware facilities in Hubei East Lake Science City, to do a good job in integrating the original ecological landscape improvement with urban construction projects, and to solidly promote the management and protection of water bodies and achieve obvious results.
