The fifth Pingyao International Film Festival will bring together rich Shanxi elements, Jia Zhangke said, "every Shanxi person is the master of the film exhibition", the film exhibition will continue to "take root" in Shanxi, continue to deepen cooperation with Shanxi universities and filmmakers, and constantly strengthen the connection with Shanxi audiences. The academic section of the film exhibition invited Shanxi filmmakers such as Ning Hao, Han Jie and Yuan Yuan, as well as directors such as Bi Gan and Li Ruijun who had studied in Shanxi, to share film experience with the theme of "living, studying and creating in Shanxi". The "Fan Carnival" will screen two popular movies" "Chosin Lake" and "My Father and Me" to share the movie feast with the public.
