On June 20th, Li Yeqing, President of the Company, attended the special event of "Helping the Hero City To Create Brilliant" Wuhan University of Technology, and launched the "Carbon Peak Carbon Neutrality" innovation consortium in the building materials construction industry together with Zhang Qingjie, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Wuhan University of Technology, Wang Cheng, chairman of Conch Cement, Wang Yumeng, deputy general manager of China National Building Materials Group, and other leaders of the co-construction units.
In order to actively implement the national carbon peak carbon neutrality and related requirements, led by Wuhan University of Technology, the company and China National Building Materials Group, Anhui Conch Cement, Beijing Jinyu Group, Shandong Dongbo Group, Wuhan Changli New Materials and other 16 units to establish a building materials construction industry "carbon peak carbon neutrality" innovation consortium. The consortium aims to serve the national double carbon strategy, bring together industry-leading science and technology and industrial forces, develop low-carbon building materials and construction technology, cultivate high-level scientific and technological innovation talents, provide talent, science and technology support for the "carbon peak carbon neutrality" route of building materials and construction industry, and become a core scientific and technological innovation force with international influence.
Carbon emission reduction is an important embodiment of the company's leadership in the transformation and upgrading of the industry, and the realization of technological innovation, product innovation, business innovation and even value innovation. At present, the company has achieved a large number of carbon emission reductions through technological innovation, and is the industry leader in energy conservation and carbon reduction. Under the guidance of Li Yeqing, the company conducted in-depth discussions on the national carbon peak carbon neutrality policy and the company's carbon emission reduction technology, and determined the carbon emission reduction target and roadmap. The company will focus on the early preparation, early layout and early efforts of carbon neutrality work, and continue to strengthen technical research in the fields of alternative fuels, fuel efficiency, waste heat utilization, alternative raw materials, green mines, carbon capture and utilization, clinker utilization coefficient, low-carbon cement development, energy utilization, intelligent industrial systems, new energy development and utilization, etc., to ensure that the company's carbon emission reduction targets are completed as scheduled.
On the same day, the conference also launched three innovation platforms, including the Wuhan Intelligent Automobile Industry Innovation Alliance, the Wuhan Hydrogen Energy Industry Promotion Alliance, and the Yangtze River Cruise Yacht Industry Innovation Alliance.
