According to Japanese media No. 4, singer-songwriter Qin Ki-bo created a new song "In る (Existence)" for the film "STEP" starring Takayuki Yamada (released in Japan on April 3 next year).
Adapted from the novel of the same name by popular writer Kiyoshi Shigematsu, this film tells the story of the protagonist who decides to come out of the shadows and start again with his daughter after the death of his wife, and continues to grow up in communication with others. The protagonist is played by Yamada, who has recently played many eccentric roles. Yamada has played a male character who matches his age in this film, and this is the first time he has played the role of a single father who grows up while raising his daughter.
The melody of the theme song "In る (Existence)" seems to give courage to those who want to take a new step after losing something precious. Qin Jibo completed the creation of a new song after being commissioned by the producer and appreciating the work. Kibo also expressed his thoughts about incorporating into the music, saying: "I was thinking about 'Who has ever existed in this world, and who have I been with in this world?' Now that person and himself still exist in this world , 'while creating'.
Ken Iizuka, who is the director, commented: "After watching the movie, the first time I heard this song, I thought it must be Qin Kibo's song. Presumably, this song was written after savoring every shot of the movie! The song seems to say to the protagonist, 'You don't have to rush forward, just take it slowly, and let it stay in the past forever!' The song seems to gently hug him from the protagonist's back, giving him warmth and courage. As the end of a two-hour film journey, this song is so fitting that I am very grateful to Qin Kibo for bringing us songs that are so suitable for this movie."
The song will be released on December 4 and will be included on the upcoming album Copernicus (Copernicus) on the 11th. (Xiao Ling/Translation)
