(Lito/Translation) [From Yinghua .com News] It is reported that singer-songwriters Qin Jibo and Ai Miao are about to write songs for the movie "Goodbye, Lips" starring Naina Komatsu and Mai Motowaki. Qin Jibo will present the film's theme song of the same name, "Goodbye, Lips", while Ai Miao will contribute two interludes from the film, "誰にだって訳がある (tentative translation: everyone has their own reasons)" and "たちまち嵐 (tentative translation: sudden storm)". Komatsu Anderson and Murphy will also be challenged to sing and perform in the film.
Directed and written by Akihiko Shiota, the film depicts the melancholy and depressed youth of young people. The duo girl band "Harureo" once became a topic of discussion for singing songs written independently. However, Reo (Komatsu Naina) and Haru (Muromatsu Mai) eventually have to go their separate ways due to their different choices. With the band disbanding, Haru and Reo embark on a nationwide tour with band supporter Shima (Narita Ling). Of the three, Reo falls in love with Shima, who has a crush on Haru, who in turn has feelings for Reo that go beyond friendship. The three people with complex emotions are tightly linked like three strands of rope, stepping onto one stage after another.
"I wrote this song based on the language and brushstrokes in the script that Director Shiota first gave me, "Goodbye, Lips," imagining the voices of Harureo, played by Naina Komatsu and Mai Motowaki, and the world in the film." While looking back on the process of composing the song, Qin Jibo sighed from the bottom of his heart, "This time it is an honor to participate in the recording of the song with the two of you, and when the pure and unadulterated singing voice of the two ladies sounded, I once again truly felt that the song "Goodbye, Lips" was completed. It is said that Komatsu Naina, who was the first to challenge singing in character development, and Motowaki Mai, who was able to actually complete the guitar performance in the song, both practiced repeatedly for several months.
Another musician, Emiu, said of the story that "the content of the script quickly made me feel empathy", and about "Sudden Storm", she explained that "although it is a more optimistic approach, I still try to integrate the core of the story into the song." Although haru and reo are two people who are prone to quarrels, I am quite touched by the fact that their encounters and the memories they have created so far have been inadvertently supporting each other. Traveler-like haru was destined to find Reo as a partner. For another song, "Everyone Has Their Own Reason", Ai Miao also said, "There is a reason for things, everyone has a reason, and everyone has their own reasons for what they live." What you like or hate has your own reasons. Places that are easy to hurt and cry, places that are easy to be happy, all have their own reasons. So I wanted to create another meaningful song for Haru and Reo, who have been carrying many emotions all the way to life. ”
"Goodbye, Lips" will be released nationwide in May 2019.
