In the summer of 1934, Shen Huan, who had just dropped out of Nanyang Commercial Senior High School because he could not afford to pay the tuition fee, was full of confusion about his future future.
What she was going to do in the future, she didn't know. Staying in my sister's house all day and relying on my sister and brother-in-law to live is not always a solution.
Worried, Shen Huan then took to the street, searching the telephone pole on the side of the road to look at the small advertisement posted on it, trying to find one or two recruitment information from it, and then try his luck.
However, to Shen Huan's disappointment, most of the advertisements on the pole are information such as family search notices and treatment of difficult and complicated diseases, and the content of recruitment is very small, and occasionally there are one or two suitable, recruitment conditions, but surprisingly high.
The more people look at it, the more troubled they are.
However, an advertisement Chinese the enrollment of shorthand schools has aroused Shen Huan's interest.
Just as Shen Huan was preparing to enroll in the shorthand school, his brother-in-law Shu Yuexin suddenly rushed to Shen Huan's front and asked her mysteriously:
"Little sister, do you want to be a star?"
What teenage girl hasn't dreamed of stardom?
Just a few days ago, Shen Wan's close friend Ye Lucy also dragged her to the photo studio together, and the two took a group of star photos as a souvenir.
The photographer at that time kept praising himself for having a star temperament. Shen Huan's heart couldn't help but be sweet, she carefully examined her own photo, and couldn't help but sigh, if she could really be a star in the future, how good it would be!

Shen Huan
Unexpectedly, the opportunity to be a star was so fast, it really came.
The brother-in-law told Shen that recently left-wing cultural figures in Shanghai were preparing to make a progressive film, and the crew was looking around for young actresses with good looks and progressive thoughts.
He just happens to know the director, if he wants to go, he can find someone to let Shen Huan in to try a role.
After Shen Huan listened to his brother-in-law's introduction, the "star dream" in his heart couldn't help but sprout again.
Do you really want to be an actor? Although Shen Huan was a little moved, he also had some hesitation, after all, he had never had any acting experience, could he really do it?
Just a few days after Shen Huan became entangled, the Shanghai underground party organization of the CPC was also conducting secret discussions for Shen Wan's future.
Shen Wan's brother-in-law is a communist, and the reason why he plans to arrange for his younger sister Shen Huan to make a movie is actually thinking that when the younger sister really becomes a star in the future, he will have the opportunity to contact the upper echelons of the Kuomintang in the future.
Perhaps it can contribute to the party's cause, spying on intelligence, and making contributions.
Subsequently, the matter was reported layer by layer and finally sent to the hands of Wang Xuewen, the then underground intelligence leader of the CCP in Shanghai.
Wang Xuewen in his youth
After listening carefully to Shu Yuexin's report, Wang Xuewen said to him:
"Don't be a movie star, or master shorthand technology is good, after Shen Wan," after Shen Wan, if he has the opportunity to enter the Kuomintang organs to seek a job, he may also be able to search for intelligence for the party."
It was Wang Xuewen's hammering that finally made Shen Wan's acting career quietly end before it began.
However, at that time, Wang Xuewen did not expect that this decision he made would have such a major impact on China's revolutionary cause in the future.
This female student, who was persuaded by the organization to leave her acting career, finally broke into the Kuomintang organs, but the person she later came into contact with was the most core leader of the Kuomintang- Chiang Kai-shek.
For the name of Shen Wan, many of us may feel a little unfamiliar, but her other name, I believe many people have heard of it.
Above Chiang Kai-shek's meeting, the lady on the right was Shen Anna
She was the woman who was called "the woman who held Chiang Kai-shek's pulse" - Shen Anna.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="40" > family upheaval</h1>
On the first day of the tenth lunar month in 1915, a baby girl was born in the Shen family, a large household in Taixing County, Jiangsu Province.
Shen Jihang, who was born in Xiucai, gave his daughter a tender name at that time, "Shen Wan", with a gentle and pure meaning.
Shen Jihang hopes that this daughter of his will be able to become a lady of knowledge and gentleness in the future under the influence of this scholarly door.
Handwriting by Shen Anna's great uncle Shen Wenhan (Hanlin of the Qing Dynasty).
However, he did not expect that this little baby girl in his arms would become so stubborn in the future, and his life experience would be so ups and downs.
At the age of seven, Shen Huan had already shown an extremely stubborn side.
At that time, she was arranged to wrap her feet by the great aunt of the main family, and during the day she was forcibly wrapped in a foot wrap, and at night, Xiao Shenhuan used scissors to cut all of them into rags.
Again wrapped, cut again, and so on, and finally the stern great aunt also had to compromise, and the big aunt sighed:
"This girl in our family, I really don't know what it will become in the future, everyone is not good at show, can't always become a Mulan, right?"
Originally, under the careful care of her parents and under the protection of the Shen family compound, Shen Wan's juvenile life was carefree.
However, with the change of fortune, the fate of all people began to change with the decline of the Shen family compound.
In 1926, Shen Wan's father died of illness, and she had just turned eleven that year. Shen Huan, who had never been carefree before, felt for the first time that the sky above his head had suddenly collapsed.
However, the bad luck of the Shen family was not over, and in the following days, bad news came one after another.
The eldest aunt, eldest brother, and cousin died one after another, and the family's funerals were one after another, making the Shen family up and down, and their hearts were haggard.
In order to prepare for the money of the thick burial, the Shen family had to sell the land and houses again and again, and finally fell to the point of selling furniture and jewelry.
The former Zhong Ming Ding Food Home eventually fell, and the rest of the people, etc., in a hurry, separated their families and scattered.
At that time, Shen Huan lived with her mother and sister in her grandmother's house, and at the most difficult time, she could only make a living with vegetable porridge.
Shen Anna's mother, Yang Shuhuai
At that time, the words that my mother often hung on her lips were:
However, what made Shen Huan decide to leave his hometown later was precisely his sister's marriage.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="405" > runaway sisters</h1>
In 1930, the 18-year-old sister Shen Min was introduced by people to marry the son of a large landlord who was more than ten years older than herself.
Two years later, Shen Min, who had been abused, ran back to her mother's house crying and crying to her mother and sister about her unhappy marriage.
The mother is a traditional woman, and the daughter who is determined to marry out is the water that is spilled, even if she regrets that she found a bad in-laws for her daughter, but in the end she can only admit her fate.
But Shen Huan, who was beside her, did not think so, and she firmly advised her sister not to go back again.
Shen Anna's sister, Shen Min
Shen Min is also a woman with a strong temperament, who originally did not want to continue that bad marriage, and now after such a persuasion from her sister, she has made up her mind and is determined to run away from home and go outside to explore the world.
In view of her sister's unfortunate experience, Shen Huan thought that if she stayed, she would inevitably repeat the mistakes of her sister's arranged marriage in the future, so she said to her sister:
"You're leaving, I'll go with you."
In the face of two daughters who were already determined to leave, the mother finally expressed her support for them, even if she did everything she wanted.
The mother took out the dowry jewelry she had hidden at the bottom of the box and a few valuable clothes that her husband had bought for herself, sold them all into silver money, and stuffed them all into the two daughters who were about to leave home.
"Don't worry about the mother, you are outside, take care of your body."
On a misty morning, in the sound of their mother's whispers, the two daughters embarked on a long journey.
The Shen sisters just wanted to get rid of the heavy oppression of women by feudal shackles, but the colorful world outside made them quickly begin to re-examine their lives.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="407" > helped by nobles</h1>
Shen Huan and her sister came to Shanghai, which was known as the "Paris of the East" at that time, and the sisters came out of the train station and looked at the busy streets in front of them and the trams that shuttled through the streets, feeling novel.
Shanghai during the Republic of China
The two initially turned to the second cousin Shen Yanru, but the cousin was only a small clerk at the time, with a meager salary, and in the land of Shanghai, the house where he lived was not large.
Now, there are two younger sisters in the family at once, and the family is living in the same house, which is suddenly cramped.
After the sisters had made up for a while at their cousin's house, they each found a boarding school and hurriedly moved out.
Shen Wan applied for the "Nanyang Commercial Senior High School", which was founded by Mr. Wu Xinglian, a patriotic overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia, and there was a good patriotic and progressive atmosphere in the school.
Former site of Nanyang Commercial Senior High School
However, when Shen Huan went to apply for the examination, the school's enrollment had already ended, and Shen Huan, who was unwilling to admit his fate, then finally found the education director - Mao Xiaocen by begging the concierge boss.
In Mao Xiaocen's office, Shen told his experience and the reason for coming to Shanghai, pleading with the other party to give him a chance to enroll. After listening to Shen Wan's story, Mao Xiaocen was deeply touched by the indomitable spirit of the girl in front of him, and finally he decided to help a group of respectable children.
Mao Xiaochen
With the help of Mao Xiaocen, the school finally admitted Shen Huan.
However, Shen Huan did not expect that Mao Xiaocen not only gave her a valuable opportunity to enroll, but also quietly opened a door to contact the red road for her future life.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="412" > fell in love at first sight</h1>
During the days when he was studying in Shanghai, Shen Huan not only saw the foreign scenery of red wine and greenery, but also saw the corruption and greed of the Kuomintang government and the struggle of the poor people on the lifeline behind the ten miles of foreign fields and drunken fans.
Zhumen wine smells of flesh, the road has a cruel situation of frozen bones, one scene after another is presented in front of the eyes, which makes the young Shen Huan deeply sigh, but also began to look forward to and look for the direction of light.
Everyone hates the corruption and cruelty of the Kuomintang, but how to change the current situation, where is the bright road for China's future?
This problem not only troubled Shen Wan at that time, but also troubled many young people at that time.
During that depressing period, Shen Huan and his sister often went to the home of their mentor Mao Xiaocen to chat with Mao Xiaocen about school and home affairs, and the progressive thinking of Mao Xiaocen and his wife deeply affected the Shen sisters.
Mao Xiaocen's wife, Shen Huasheng
And that New Year's Day in 1934, in Mao Xiaocen's home, something happened that affected Shen Wan's life.
In the winter of that year, the cousins of the sisters who had been helping the sisters, because they were in financial difficulties, had to interrupt the subsidy for the sisters, and the Shen sisters, who did not have the travel expenses to return to their hometown, stayed in Shanghai for the New Year.
On the first day of the Chinese New Year, Shen Huan led his sister to visit the home of his mentor Mao Xiaocen, and in Mao Xiaocen's home, the two accidentally met two alumni who had come to visit the New Year together-Shu Yuexin, who had already graduated, and Hua Mingzhi, who was still studying in the school.
Shu Yue letter
Hua Mingzhi
The two were also Mao Xiaocen's favorite students, and under Mao Xiaocen's introduction, the four of them became acquainted and familiar with each other.
This meeting left a deep impression on both sides, so that decades later, Hua Mingzhi recalled the scene again and still remembers it vividly:
"At that time, she was beautiful and graceful, simple and lively, and generous, which made people fall in love at first sight."
On the occasion of parting, Shu Yuexin said to Shen Huan in the tone of a senior:
"In the future, if there is anything in the school, you can find Brother Ming to help."
The Shen sisters did not expect at all that the two young people in front of them who were hanging in the river would be Communists. And his future life, with the gradual deepening of contacts with them, eventually turned to the direction of revolution.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="418" > contact red</h1>
Shu Yuexin was a secret intelligence officer of the CCP at that time, and at this time in Shanghai, the working environment was harsh, and the economy of the party organization itself was also very difficult.
Shu Yuexin, who took 8 yuan per month to organize living expenses, rented the cheapest small attic in the Shikumen of Shanghai Lane, warm in summer and cool in winter.
However, it is this humble little loft that has become a learning place for Shen Wan and others to explore the fate of the nation and the future of the country.
Several young people often gathered here to speak freely, and under the inspiration of Shu Yuexin and Hua Mingzhi, the sisters' thoughts gradually tended to be bright, and they began to yearn for revolution and yearn for that longing passion.
In the subsequent process of exchanges, Shen Huan felt that Shu Yuexin and Hua Mingzhi were different, were they communists?
Shen Huan wasn't sure.
But what happened next made her finally learn the secret. The sister and Shu Yuexin developed feelings, and the two eventually came together.
Under the disclosure of her sister, Shen Huan knew the identity of her brother-in-law and them, so she pestered her sister and said:
"I want to join the revolution too!"
After learning of xiaomei's progress requirements, Shu Yuexin specifically talked to Shen Huan once:
"Little sister, to join the revolution and do secret work, you have to suffer hardships, but also risk going to jail and killing your head."
Shen Huan raised his face and looked at Shangshu Yuexin's gaze and replied firmly:
"Brother-in-law, I can endure hardships and I am not afraid of death!" In the past, I always sighed that there was no way to report to the country, but now that I have a door to report the country, I am still afraid of something! ”
Subsequently, under the introduction of his brother-in-law Shu Yuexin, the young Shen Huan entered the eyes of the organization.
At that time, the Shanghai underground party organization initially listed Shen Huan as an ordinary progressive youth who needed to develop. However, after Shen Huan dropped out of school, the party organization began to pay more attention to this young girl.
In the summer of 1934, Shen Huan, who really could not afford to pay the tuition, had to leave the "Nanyang Senior Commercial High School", and the experience we talked about at the beginning of the article occurred at this time.
At the suggestion of the party organization, Shen Huan gave up his dream of stardom and enrolled in the Shanghai Bingxun Chinese Shorthand School at No. 1 Gaoshouli, Lane 942, Zhabeibei ning Road.
In this school, Shen Huan studied diligently, and it only took two or three months to learn what originally required half a year.
Shen Anna used textbooks and dictionaries at the Shanghai Bingxun Chinese shorthand school
At that time, Shen Huan planned to graduate early to find a shorthand job because of financial constraints, but a sudden opportunity made Shen Huan come to a turning point in his life again.
That winter, the Kuomintang Zhejiang provincial government went to Bingxun Chinese shorthand school to recruit a shorthand reporter.
According to the students' achievements, Principal Yang Bingxun recommended Shen Huan and two other boys to take the exam together, and the three of them competed for the position together.
At that time, Shen Huan's enthusiasm for entering the Kuomintang government was not high, and she felt extremely disgusted with the corruption of the Kuomintang from the bottom of her heart, so she did not intend to go.
However, Wang Xuewen, who received this news, immediately felt sensitively that this was a good opportunity to break into the Kuomintang.
Subsequently, he instructed Shu Yuexin and Hua Mingzhi to persuade Shen Huan to actively prepare for the exam and strive to be admitted.
That afternoon, after receiving the notice from his sister, Shen Huan hurried to the small attic of Shu Yuexin.
At that time, Shen Huan did not know that when she pushed open the door of the attic, what awaited her would be a brand new life.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="419" > a new life</h1>
When Shen Huan pushed open the small door of the attic, she found that her brother-in-law Shu Yuexin, her sister, and Hua Mingzhi were all in the house, and everyone looked at her with a serious look. Before Shen Huan could sit down, Hua Mingzhi suddenly said something that surprised Shen Huan very much:
"Now the Zhejiang provincial government is recruiting stenographers, and the party organization has decided to send you to take the test, which is the first task entrusted to you by the party, and I hope you can take it seriously."
"To apply for a Kuomintang clerkship, is this also a revolutionary job?" Shen Huan was a little stunned.
"To be a stenographer and to penetrate into the enemy is to join the revolution." Shu Yuexin nodded solemnly.
Shen Huan looked at the serious looks of the three people, and finally believed the words of the crowd, and then nodded:
"As long as I join the revolution, I will go!"
Shu Yuexin after marriage
Shu Yuexin nodded and said to Shen Huan: Since you joined the revolution, for the sake of safety, change your name, and our current names were only changed after participating in the revolution.
The revolutionary Soviet Union is the future of China, and I suggest you change the name of a Soviet girl, so why not call it Anna.
Hua Mingzhi said to her:
"Outside, you still use your original name, so it is safer, in front of your relatives and comrades, use your new name."
Since then, Shen Huan has a new name- Shen Anna, and her life has also begun a new journey along with this new name.
(Next, for the sake of narrative convenience, we replace the name of the protagonist Shen Huan with Shen Anna.) )
< h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="420" inside the National Party ></h1>
Because of her outstanding ability, Shen Anna finally stood out among the three people who took the test.
In January 1935, Shen Anna officially entered the deliberation section of the Secretariat of the Zhejiang Provincial Government of the Kuomintang as a stenographer, and since then she has successfully penetrated into the Kuomintang government.
On the day that Shen Anna put on the official staff badge, Hua Mingzhi also brought Shen Anna a good news - after Comrade Wang Xuewen identified, Comrade Shen Anna officially became a member under the leadership of the Central Special Branch.
Since then, Shen Anna, as a special agent of the CCP, has begun her own period within the Kuomintang government, a thrilling latent legend.
As a newcomer, Shen Anna handled government documents in the council section, and at first it was very difficult, but fortunately, her character was tenacious and her attitude was serious, which made xue Yuanyan, the head of the council section, have a very good impression of this new girl.
Mr. and Mrs. Xue Yuanyan
Under the guidance and guidance of Chief Xue, Shen Anna made rapid progress, and then gradually took over the transcription of important speeches of a series of important members such as the chairman of the provincial government.
On a public occasion, Zhu Jiahua, chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, praised Shen Anna's speech, saying that she wrote well and had a good writing skill, and Shen Anna quickly clarified that it was all edited with the help of Chief Xue.
Within the Kuomintang government, there was greed and deceit everywhere, and employees like Shen Anna, who were not greedy for fame and fortune, were like a clear stream, which was refreshing.
Her act of "not plundering the beauty of others" immediately left a deep impression on Zhu Jiahua and Xue Yuanyan.
Zhu Jiahua
Soon, Xue Yuanyan regarded Shen Anna as a dry daughter, and Zhu Jiahua also attached great importance to this subordinate with excellent moral character and outstanding work, and gradually regarded him as his own concubine.
And it was precisely this Zhu Jiahua who became the key person for Shen Anna's future contact with the core figure of the Kuomintang, Chiang Kai-shek.
We'll talk about that later.
As the intelligence collected by Shen Anna became more and more important and the number of transmissions became more and more frequent, the organization finally decided to appoint a special person to be responsible for helping Shen Anna pass on the information.
Soon, an acquaintance knocked on Shen Anna's door:
"Mingzhi!"
After a long time in a foreign country, suddenly met a former friend, Shen Anna was naturally very surprised. At that time, Shen Anna did not expect that the man who came to help himself in front of him would spend a lifetime to accompany himself in the future.
For the sake of convenience, Hua Mingzhi, who was dressed as Shen Anna's lover at that time, often came from other places to meet Shen Anna.
However, with the frequent contact between the two and the long-term acquaintance, the feelings of these two like-minded young people slowly came closer together.
Promotional poster for "Children of the Storm"
In May 1935, the Shanghai film "Children of the Storm", Hua Mingzhi asked Shen Anna to watch the movie together, and the two stood on the banks of the Huangpu River, thinking back to the plot of the movie, and were excited.
Hua Mingzhi took the copied lyrics, waved his hands, beat the beat, and taught Shen Anna to sing the theme song in the film together:
"Get up! People who don't want to be slaves..."
After singing, the mood of both of them was very excited, and Hua Mingzhi then plucked up the courage and said to Shen Anna:
"Comrade Shen Anna, are you willing to accept me as your boyfriend?" I said it was the real one. ”
Shen Anna looked at Hua Mingzhi's sincere eyes and nodded shyly.
Hua Mingzhi on the hospital bed and Shen Anna on the side
Many years later, Hua Mingzhi, who was more than 90 years old, was hospitalized due to illness, and when he was unconscious in his hospital bed, he suddenly hummed the tune of "Volunteer March" in his mouth, and the elderly Shen Anna next to him could not help but burst into tears when she smelled it.
With the approval of the organization, in the autumn of 1935, Hua Mingzhi and Shen Anna finally married, and since then the two have begun a latent life full of hardships and twists and turns.
With Hua Mingzhi by her side, Shen Anna's previously vigilant, sensitive and suspicious heart became much more stable. Shen Anna's environment is like a terrifying wave, and if she is not careful, she may be crushed. Hua Mingzhi, on the other hand, was like the warmest harbor, carefully helping Shen Anna tie the mast and gently soothing her tired heart.
In the days that followed, most of the information obtained by Shen Anna was sorted out, excerpted, summarized and finally passed on by her husband Hua Mingzhi.
In this way, the husband and wife, under the eyes of the Kuomintang, obtained and secretly and continuously transmitted important information to the party organization.
Wang Xuewen in his later years
In 1982, when Wang Xuewen recalled the intelligence work of that year, he clearly mentioned:
"At that time, there were two lines that could get some useful military information, one was Changsha, and the other was from Shen Anna in Hangzhou, all of which were valuable..."
During this period, Shen Anna gave birth to her first child, and just when the family was happy and harmonious, the alarm of the War of Resistance suddenly sounded in the hearts of the people of the whole country.
With the acceleration of the Japanese invasion of China, Shanghai and Hangzhou have fallen into the flames of war, and the former calm and tranquility of Hangzhou were suddenly broken by the war. Large numbers of fleeing crowds, evacuated factory equipment, and government personnel crowded the streets and alleys.
In those days of flames and wolves, Hua Mingzhi withdrew to Jinhua with the Zhejiang-Gansu Railway Bureau, and Hua's mother also carried her grandson back to her hometown in Shanghai to hide, and for a time, her relatives and lovers all left her.
What made Shen Anna most difficult to accept was that her contact with the party organization also evacuated Hangzhou at this time.
In the vast city of Hangzhou, there was a lot of smoke and war, and Shen Anna, who stayed here alone, felt unprecedented loneliness like a kite with a broken line.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="430" > thousand miles to find the party</h1>
In the days that followed, the bad news of the national disaster came one after another and pressed on the hearts of all the people.
On November 12, Shanghai was occupied by the Japanese army.
On November 20, the Nanjing government announced the relocation of the capital to Chongqing.
On December 13, Nanjing fell, and hundreds of thousands of compatriots were killed.
The fall of Nanjing
The land is constantly being lost, the people are being slaughtered, and the government is retreating again and again, and colleagues next to it can't help but argue:
Shen Anna's government office was full of pessimism, and Zhu Jiahua, chairman of the provincial government, left his post in Zhejiang ahead of schedule through four activities and drifted south.
The day before the fall of Hangzhou, Shen Anna hurriedly boarded the car to Jinhua with the personnel of the organs, and looked back at the city, where smoke and dust were everywhere. At that moment, Shen Anna's mood was extremely dark.
In Jinhua, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi finally reunited, but the pain of the destruction of the country and the loss of the party organization made it difficult for the two families to be happy.
Losing contact with the organization, the two people are like a drifting lonely boat, without direction, drifting aimlessly, and for a time, they feel that the work has suddenly lost its meaning.
"It won't work like this!" Shen Anna suddenly remembered that Churchiff, the leader of the underground party organization, had explained to himself:
In case you lose contact with the party organization, you must wait for the organization to come to you, or take the initiative to find the party organization.
In today's situation, we must take the initiative to find the party! The two finally agreed that Hua Mingzhi would stay behind to continue working to maintain the family's financial life, while Shen Anna left for the south to find the party.
Soon, Hua Mingzhi received news that the central organs of the Kuomintang had moved to Wuhan to work, the United Front of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China had been formed, and the leaders of the CPC Central Committee Wang Ming, Zhou Enlai, Dong Biwu, and others had also come to Wuhan and established the Eighth Route Army Office.
Go to Wuhan to find the party!
This idea immediately surged into the minds of the two, and in the spring of 1938, Shen Anna bid farewell to her husband and embarked on the road of finding the party in the south alone.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="434" > returned to the arms of the organization again</h1>
Wuhan, as the thoroughfare of Kyushu, suddenly became the center of the national anti-war and salvation movement after the fall of Nanjing.
At this time, the streets of Wuhan were crowded with patriots and young people exiled from the north, and the streets and alleys could hear the impassioned songs such as "On the Songhua River" and "March of the Big Knife" everywhere.
In Wuhan during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the streets mobilized to donate money to save the country
At that time, although the Kuomintang and the Communist Party had begun to cooperate, the bloody massacres of the Kuomintang in the past, as well as the superficial cooperation and the act of tripping behind their backs, made the CCP organization and most of the Communist Party members still in an underground state.
Although he was able to find the Eighth Route Army office in Wuhan, there was no one inside who knew him.
If their identity cannot be confirmed, how can the party organization believe its own words?
Shen Anna wandered near the office of the Eighth Route Army, feeling like a straw floating in the middle of a vast sea of people, helpless and helpless.
For several days, Shen Anna was walking aimlessly in the streets, and just when she was distressed and worried about not being able to find the party organization, a familiar figure suddenly appeared in front of her eyes.
"Big Brother Lu!" Shen Anna couldn't help but blurt out.
The person in front of him turned around, and Shen Anna's tears suddenly burst out of his eyes, it was really the acquaintance he knew- Lu Zicheng.
Lu Zicheng
Lu Zicheng was Hua Mingzhi's introducer to the party, and he was also the revolutionary guide of Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi in the Shanghai period, and now in a desperate situation, he suddenly met an old comrade who knew the roots, how could he not make Shen Anna extremely excited.
After Lu Zicheng left Shanghai that year, he went to Beiping to work, but was soon arrested for betrayal by traitors, tortured in prison, and later released on bail under the personal rescue of Dong Biwu.
At present, Lu Zicheng, under the recommendation of Dong Biwu, entered the Kuomintang Central Training Corps.
Under the guidance of Lu Zicheng, Shen Anna stepped into the door of the "Eight Offices", and after a brief conversation with the reception staff, Shen Anna directly put forward the request to see the leader according to Lu Zicheng's explanation.
A few days later, Shen Anna got the news and came to the "Eight Offices" again, and in the office, waiting for her was an elderly person who was more than half a hundred years old, Dong Biwu.
Dong Biwu
Dong Biwu motioned for Shen Anna to sit down, and then said to her:
"In your case, some old comrades in the party have already made political proofs, we already know it, and Comrade Enlai also knows it."
Upon hearing that even Zhou Enlai knew herself, Shen Anna was immediately excited, and she stood up and said loudly to Dong Biwu:
Dong Biwu looked at the stubborn woman in front of him and couldn't help but laugh:
You don't have to go to the battlefield anymore, and organizationally you still have to do your old job, and although it is a period of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the anti-communist nature of the Diehard Kuomintang faction will not change. At the same time of cooperation, we must maintain sober vigilance, after all, the heart of prevention is indispensable! ”
Dong Biwu went on to say:
"You were once Zhu Jiahua's subordinate, and now Zhu Jiahua is the secretary general of the Kuomintang Central Party Department, and you can go to him as an old subordinate and strive to enter the central party department secretariat."
Dong Biwu asked Shen Anna, "Is there any difficulty?" ”
Although Shen Anna very much wanted to throw herself into the fierce War of Resistance like everyone else, for the sake of the party's cause and safety, she finally nodded solemnly:
"I accept the tasks assigned to me by the party organization, please rest assured by the party!" Resolutely complete the task. ”
Then, Dong Biwu summoned Zhou Enlai, who pointed to Shen Anna and said to Zhou Enlai, "Oh, this is the heroine we discussed last night." ”
Zhou Enlai represented the Communist Party of China in Wuhan, the seat of the Kuomintang, and engaged in the work of the anti-Japanese national united front
After zhou Enlai and Shen Anna had a cordial conversation, they proposed that in order to facilitate Shen Anna's work, Hua Ming should be immediately transferred to Wuhan to cooperate with Shen Anna's work.
Zhou Enlai's careful arrangement made Shen Anna's heart suddenly calm down a lot, and with Hua Mingzhi by her side, she could calmly deal with it even if she broke into the heart of the Kuomintang.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="440" > broke into the heart of the Kuomintang</h1>
The day after accepting the task, Shen Anna changed into a cheongsam and came to the door of the Secretariat of the Kuomintang Central Committee at No. 157 Jianghan Second Road.
At that time, Shen Anna was not sure, and Zhu Jiahua still did not remember that he was a small shorthand around him.
However, Zhu Jiahua's reaction was quite enthusiastic, and the new secretary general of the Central Party Department urgently needed to cultivate his own forces, so Zhu Jiahua naturally welcomed this old concubine who came to him.
Zhu Jiahua ordered shen anna to enter the central party department as soon as possible, shen anna was not yet a member of the Kuomintang at that time, for this reason, Zhu Jiahua also made a special exception and made a special party for her.
This kind of special party joining, the procedures are simple, the process is very fast, but it is very difficult, it requires the recommendation of three central party members at the same time, and it is difficult for people who are generally not powerful and have a special background to have this special case.
Shen Anna's special party file
At that time, this special party member helped Shen Anna to enter the Central Party Department as soon as possible, and in the years that followed, because of such a special case relationship, Shen Anna was an innocent party member who could not afford to be "red" in the eyes of the military command and the central command agents.
That night, Shen Anna came to the Eighth Office and reported to Dong Biwu about her joining the Kuomintang, and her words were quite self-condemning.
Dong Biwu said to her:
"You are doing the right thing, you must be astute and flexible, and now that you have broken into the core organs of the Kuomintang, you must pay attention to changes in the situation at all times, pay attention to concealment and secrecy, and put a good wind and a good whistle for the party's cause and security."
At that time, although Shen Anna listened to Dong Biwu's Dun Dun teachings, she did not fully realize in her heart that the reactionary face of the Kuomintang would be exposed so quickly under the background of joint resistance against Japan and humiliation.
After the fall of Wuhan, although the Kuomintang clique continued to resist the war, it showed great wavering, and the sentiment of anti-communist capitulation grew day by day.
Shen Anna came to Chongqing with the personnel of the organs, just as the Kuomintang was preparing for the Fifth Plenary Session of the Fifth Central Committee, and in the Central Party Department, Shen Anna saw a draft of the document revealing anti-communist content.
At that time, the people of the whole country were still fighting for the unanimous resistance against Japan and fighting bloody battles, but the upper echelons of the Kuomintang braved the world's great disobedience and planned a shameless conspiracy of fake cooperation and true anti-communism.
While being shocked and chilled, Shen Anna was also deeply glad that a few months ago, Dong Biwu, Zhou Enlai, and others arranged for themselves to break into the core of the Kuomintang.
In view of the importance of the matter, that night, Shen Anna personally came to the office of the Eighth Route Army in Chongqing and ventured to report to Dong Biwu, Bogu and others.
Subsequently, the people agreed on the time, place, and code for the future contact, as well as the personnel of the Eighth Office and huaming's joint.
On the occasion of parting, Dong Biwu sent Shen Anna to the door of the room, and he explained to Shen Anna:
In the future, you should pay attention to collecting intelligence on the Kuomintang's party affairs, military, politics, secret agents, and personnel affairs, and at the same time pay attention to concealment and secrecy."
According to the important information provided by Shen Anna, at the second session of the first session of the National Committee of political participation, the CPC deputies actively united and supported the representatives of all sides and progressives of the united front of resistance, thus greatly foiling the Kuomintang's conspiracy of fake peace talks and real surrender.
Subsequently, in order to cover and cooperate with Shen Anna's actions, Hua Mingzhi entered the telecommunications corps and protected Shen Anna as a military commander, and the joint personnel sent by the CCP were Wu Kejian, a backbone agent who had been the secretary of the central special branch.
Wu Kejian
Shen Anna is like a probe that goes deep into the enemy's interior, while carefully looking at the enemy's internal organs, let the top level of our party be able to understand the other party's rules and methods in advance, and finally be prepared.
Within the Kuomintang government, because of Shen Anna's excellent shorthand work, she was also arranged to important meetings again and again.
On December 8, 1938, Chiang Kai-shek personally presided over the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Kuomintang Central Executive Committee in Chongqing.
When Chiang Kai-shek stepped onto the podium, he glanced at the female shorthand beside him, and without thinking much, he stepped onto the podium and spoke passionately.
Chiang Kai-shek never dreamed that he would be full of anti-communism all day long, and at this moment, the real Communist Party was sitting not far from him, recording every word of his complaint and arrogance against the Communist Party with his delicate handwriting.
In the days that followed, Shen Anna obtained a large amount of anti-communist intelligence of the Kuomintang, from the deployment of military policies to the speech and demeanor of each high-level person at the meeting, which Shen Anna recorded and passed on in a timely and accurate manner after Hua Mingzhi sorted it out.
It was precisely the meticulous intelligence of Shen and Hua that enabled us to grasp the policy trends of the Kuomintang as if they were in a position. At this stage, our side fully grasped the active posture in the struggle against the Kuomintang.
However, just as Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi were gathering intelligence for the party organization, a huge danger was also approaching them step by step.
And this time, life and death are only between one thought.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="445" > a test of life and death</h1>
One autumn night in 1942, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi waited at home for a night, and Xu Zhonghang, who came to the joint as agreed, did not come.
Xu Zhonghang
The hearts of the two, in the passage of time waiting, finally sank to the bottom.
The two sides are in a single line of contact, according to the regulations, Shen Anna can not take the initiative to find Xu Zhonghang, so even if they are anxious, they can only choose to continue to wait.
Waiting until the two uninvited guests found Shen Anna.
"Xu Zhonghang has been arrested." Because Xu's family had a letter from Shen Anna to "borrow money" from Xu Zhonghang, the agents followed the vine to find Shen Anna.
At that time, Shen Anna did not know whether Xu Zhonghang had confessed after his arrest and whether he had been exposed.
At this time, Shen Anna suddenly remembered Zhou Enlai's explanation to herself in the winter of 1938:
"Your current work is very dangerous, you must be ready to deal with unexpected events at any time, in case of sudden events, the Communists must have backbone..."
In front of the two spies, she did enough of the style of the central bureaucracy, and had a look that I was not afraid to investigate, so that the two suspicious spies finally left in ashes.
Shen Anna
That night, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi studied countermeasures, and Shen Anna said to Hua Mingzhi:
"In case we are arrested, we must insist that we have nothing to do with the party and put our lives on the line."
Hua Mingzhi took her hand and said equally firmly:
"We must resist and be prepared to accept any test, to protect the secrets of the Party, but also to protect Lao Xu and protect ourselves."
Many years later, when Shen Anna recalled the situation that night, she summed it up in one sentence:
Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi
Sure enough, the next day, Shen Anna's family was inhabited by spies, openly monitoring the two men's every move.
In Shen Anna's office, the agent suddenly broke in and shouted, "Xu Zhonghang has been shot." "Come and observe and test Shen Anna's reaction."
However, Shen Anna's calm reaction made the enemy who was jealous of her identity finally have no choice but to go away.
As analyzed by Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi at that time, Xu Zhonghang underwent inhuman torture in prison, and although he was beaten up and bruised, he never admitted that he was a communist, and eventually protected the party organization of the Southern Bureau and also protected Shen Anna's family.
Because the enemy has no evidence, he can only wander back and forth on the edge of suspicion, and he has no choice.
Therefore, the two of them strengthened their determination to persevere, and at the same time, they were deeply grateful to Xu Zhonghang's steadfastness in their hearts, because his indomitability finally saved everyone.
Due to the arrest of the superiors of the single-line contact, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi once again lost contact with the organization. During that time, under the surveillance of Kuomintang agents, the two lived in a simple place, and did not dare to have the slightest extra social interaction, for fear that any reckless actions of theirs would implicate the organization and comrades.
More than half a year passed, the organization did not send anyone to contact them, and the agents eventually withdrew the surveillance because they never found any useful information.
Waiting for the organization to come, became Hua Mingzhi and Shen Anna, in the next few days of endless expectations.
"The organization will definitely send people again."
Hua Mingzhi encouraged Shen Anna, but he did not know that this wait had been waiting for three years.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="449" > suffering</h1>
During those days of waiting, Shen Anna still insisted on collecting intelligence, and every night the couple sorted out the intelligence, and then sat quietly at home, waiting for a knock at any time.
However, day after day, year after year, there was never anyone in the organization to contact them. Intelligence is timeless and cannot be kept at home for long. Therefore, whenever the two had to burn away in the middle of the night, taking the risk to collect the intelligence, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi felt that the rising flame seemed to be burning their own body and mind, making them feel pain and helplessness.
In order to wait for the call of the party organization, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi insisted on living in the crowded old house. The Kuomintang government organs tried several times to improve their living environment, but they politely refused.

Inside the dimly lit house, under the harsh environment of Chongqing's frequent japanese bombardment, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi waited in silence.
Waiting with tenacity.
In the words of Shen Anna later:
"At that time, although our living conditions were bitter, our hearts were always full of hope."
There is hope, and waiting will inevitably lead to results.
One night in October 1945, Shen Anna, who had just finished eating, suddenly heard someone knocking on the door, and when she listened carefully, the rag in her hand could not help but quietly fall.
This was the secret code of the organization, she and Hua Mingzhi looked at each other, and then suppressed their fierce heartbeat and came to the door.
Shen Anna asked in a low voice:
"Who?"
A familiar voice came from outside the door, "Me." ”
Shen Anna pulled the door open, and a familiar face suddenly appeared in front of her eyes, this face made Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi burst into tears with excitement.
The person who came was their old leader, Wu Kejian.

After Wu Kejian entered the room, the hands of the three people were tightly held together, and Shen Anna cried out with a crying voice:
"Old Wu!"
Then he could no longer speak.
At that time, after Shen Anna's connector, Xu Zhonghang, was arrested, in order to protect Shen Anna, the organization deliberately kept a distance from them, and this time Wu Kejian came to the Kuomintang District to do intelligence work, and before leaving, Zhou Enlai had specifically explained to him, "Don't forget Shen Anna. ”
Therefore, Wu Kejian finally found Shen Anna's family on the second floor of No. 75 Shangqing Street by virtue of his memory.
On the same day, after sending Lao Wu away, Shen Anna said to Hua Mingzhi:
"Seeing my relatives today is the happiest day I've had in recent years."
Hua Mingzhi nodded:
"It's been a really hard time in the past three years, and now that contact with the organization has resumed, we can provide intelligence to the party again."
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="451" > top-secret intelligence</h1>
In the days that followed, Shen Anna gathered a series of important intelligence for the party organization:
Obtaining the Kuomintang Political Consultative Conference, the Kuomintang's conspiracy and the bottom card, so that our side repeatedly pierced the mask of the Kuomintang's false peace at the meeting.
Obtaining all the materials of the Second Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Kuomintang, the CPC Central Committee learned in advance of the conspiracy of the Kuomintang reactionaries to sabotage the armistice agreement and instigate an all-out war.
While Chiang Kai-shek was furious, the military command was also secretly investigating the reasons for the leak, but there were many factions within the Kuomintang, and there were many deceits between them, making Shen Anna, a small stenographer, become "black under the lights" in the eyes of everyone.
In the days that followed, Shen Anna and his wife were even more energetic, providing important information for the party organization.
In April 1946, Chiang Kai-shek hand-picked the officers of the imperial family and held the Supreme Military Conference, which involved detailed military deployment, troop deployment, and theater division in the liberated areas of the northeast and central plains.
At that time, during the day, Chiang Kai-shek and others held meetings, and at night Hua Mingzhi spent all night sorting out intelligence; soon after Chiang Kai-shek's deployment was completed, the CPC Central Committee also received the intelligence materials that had just been mimeographed.
Tong Xiaopeng
Tong Xiaopeng, then secretary general of the Cpc's Southern Bureau, once recalled:
The important information of the two supreme military meetings of the Kuomintang was all obtained by Shen Anna and submitted to the Central Committee. This enables the central authorities to make corresponding troop movements according to the deployment of the enemy's troops and the order of attack, and finally stand in an invincible position. ”
In the spring of 1947, the Kuomintang held the Third Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee, at which Shen Anna recorded the top-secret military report made by Chen Cheng, the chief of staff, and the analysis of the subsequent war situation.
"Don't remember the following passage."
All the people present stopped writing, and Shen Anna was naturally no exception, but this kind of thing that Chiang Kai-shek did not allow to record was often the most confidential content and the most important intelligence.
At this time, Jiang Anna began to remember the main content of Chiang Kai-shek's speech in her heart, and when the conference was resting, she quickly ran to the toilet, used shorthand symbols to quickly restore the memory content of her heart, and then stuffed it into the sole of her shoe and brought it home.
In this way, the top-secret contents of Chiang Kai-shek's secret transmission were not long passed on to the CPC Central Committee, and these pieces of information played a relatively important role in the central authorities' command and judgment of the war of liberation.
At the beginning of 1949, with the end of the three major battles in turn, the millions of heroic divisions of the People's Liberation Army sang triumphant songs and waved their divisions south, and the Chiang family dynasty was suddenly in danger.
In the darkest period before dawn, Shen Anna still stood at the forefront of the intelligence position, sending intelligence information to the Party Central Committee on the formation of the eight conditions for the Kuomintang peace talks, the true ideas of the Kuomintang top brass, and other arranged strategies.
This information sent the Kuomintang's bottom card and the last move to the Party Central Committee in Xibaipo at that time, so that our side took full advantage of the opportunity in the subsequent peace talks, and finally exposed the Kuomintang's lies of fake peace talks and plotting separatism.

As the defeat of the Kuomintang became a foregone conclusion, a large number of high-level members of the Kuomintang fled south with their families in a hurry, and the Party and government organs at all levels of the Kuomintang moved south one after another.
Continue to lurk south with the Kuomintang government, or stay behind to meet the light?
At this moment, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi were quietly waiting for instructions from their superiors.
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" data-track="460" > return to light</h1>
Soon, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi received instructions from Wu Kejian:
Withdraw to Shanghai, and there is no need to travel south with the Kuomintang organs.
At the moment of receiving the instructions to stay, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi embraced excitedly, and after more than ten years of lurking career, they could finally get out of the ground and return to the arms of their mothers and relatives.
On April 20, 1949, on the eve of the crossing of the Yangtze River by a million troops, Shen Anna withdrew from Nanjing to Shanghai, completely breaking away from the Kuomintang organs, and before that, Hua Mingzhi had withdrawn in advance.
On May 26 of the same year, the People's Liberation Army attacked Shanghai from the direction of Xujiahui, and the sound of gunfire was sounded all night, and by dawn, it was completely calmed.
The next morning, Hua Mingzhi opened the door and looked at the large number of PLA soldiers sleeping densely on the street.
The liberation of Shanghai, the soldiers of the People's Liberation Army asleep in the streets
The children behind him asked Hua Mingzhi:
"Dad, who are they?"
Hua Mingzhi replied with tears in his eyes:
"It's our people, they're finally here, Shanghai is liberated."
<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" Data-track="462" > legend ended</h1>
After liberation, Shen Anna participated in the work of the Shanghai Intelligence Bureau, while Hua Mingzhi was appointed deputy chief of the personnel section of the Heavy Industry Department of the Shanghai Military Control Commission.
Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi after liberation
On October 1, 1999, the 50th anniversary of the founding of New China, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi were invited to climb the Tiananmen Tower, when the two sighed:
"Our early ideals came true and we were fortunate survivors."
Hua Mingzhi died in Beijing on June 12, 2003 at the age of 90, and Shen Anna died in Beijing on June 16, 2010 at the age of 95.
In commemorating Shen Anna's "life", the Ministry of State Security once wrote:
"Comrade Shen Anna is an outstanding female fighter on the hidden front of our Party, she has been in the enemy's territory for 14 years, and has provided the Party organization with a large amount of high-level insider information on the Party, government and military aspects of the Kuomintang Central Committee, some of which have strategic and early warning value... She is an unsung hero who is absolutely loyal to the party and has experience in fighting on hidden fronts. ”
The title of unsung hero is the most noble praise for Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi, and it is precisely because of their dedication and pursuit of light that they can finally get out of the mud without staining, stand cold and unyielding, and carve out a road to light in the Dragon Pond Tiger Den.
I would like to use this document to give the red agents who pursue the light- Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi, where there are good years, but someone carries the weight for us, and the glory of the motherland is inseparable from the heroic ancestors who dedicated themselves to the country.
Salute to the martyrs and forge ahead!
Friends who like it can like, pay attention to, forward, and jointly carry forward positive energy, so that the deeds of heroes and martyrs can be widely circulated!
