Invisible front, selfless dedication, unsung hero, supreme glory.
In an ordinary old building in Hongsheng Lane, Yuzhong District, there lives a "four-no-warrior" who is nearly eighty years old, Tang Zefang. She was once a "listener" to China's military classified institutions, and was also a "female number one" of the State Secrets Bureau of Yuzhong District.
From the Gobi Desert to the mother city of Yuzhong, she has been rooted in the hidden front for more than 30 years, and her life is unknown, hiding her merits and fame. Only the walls of awards and medals quietly record those unforgettable glorious years...
Biography
Tang Zefang, 75 years old, 50 years old, former director of the State Secrets Bureau of Yuzhong District, retired secretary of the party branch of the Yuzhong District Party Committee Office. He has twice been awarded the third class of collective merit in the army and won the written commendation four times. He has won the honorary titles of Advanced Worker in the National "Third Five-Year Plan" Secrecy Legal System Publicity and Education Work, and Chongqing Municipal Advanced Worker in Secrecy Work.
In people's imagination, those who engage in confidential work should be taciturn and cautious. However, Tang Zefang's painting style is completely different, she is enthusiastic and cheerful, and she can speak the Tao.
Since her retirement for more than 20 years, she has been serving as the secretary of the retired party branch of the Yuzhong District Party Committee Office, taking the lead in performing the duties and obligations of party members, and making the study work of retired party member groups at or above the level of 11 district-level units and departments a sound and colorful, fully mobilizing everyone's enthusiasm for participating in the study.
When the reporter went to Tang Zefang's home for an interview, she was planning the party branch's July theme activity - "Nine Ones" to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the party.
She introduced her edited small video to reporters with a fluttering eyebrow, "Shoot a smiley face under the party flag, sing a red song, and carry out a red symposium... That's all done, and then we're going to organize a red tour! ”
The reporter asked her about the destination of her tour, and Donald smiled and popped out two words: "Confidentiality!" ”

Tang Zefang and Zhang Hongli recalled the years of secrecy and smiled at each other
scold! Elder Tang is worthy of being a "wind listener" from China's military secret institutions. Secrecy has become a habit of hers, a discipline that blends into her bones and blood. Even after many years of retirement, he still did not forget the requirements of keeping his mouth shut and integrated confidential work into his daily life.
"Keeping secrets is only 100 and 0 points, she is an 'occupational disease'!" His wife Zhang Hongli laughed and quipped. This sentence is like a time button, triggering Tang Zefang's passionate military feelings.
She was full of excitement and starlight in her eyes, "I was a soldier who was 'confused' and 'mistakenly hit and bumped' and became a secret person." This is the luck of life, and it is also the mission of life. If time could be turned back, no matter how many times it was turned back, my choice would never change— to dedicate everything to the Party, to the Party's cause of secrecy. ”
The work she was engaged in at that time has been partially declassified by the state, so in an interview with reporters, she also "decrypted" her life to the point.
Tang Zefang showed reporters the "Four No Spirits" commemorative medal
In June 1960, Tang Zefang was escorted into the army by Chongqing No. 41 Middle School (now Bashu Middle School). Recalling her joining the army, she said that she could use the words "fast, accurate, and ignorant" to describe it.
At that time, Tang Zefang was not yet 15 years old and just graduated from junior high school.
The class organized a visit to the West District Park (now Chongqing Zoo), "Halfway through the game, the school suddenly let us return to school en masse. After returning to school, I inexplicably arranged for everyone to have a physical examination. We were confused, but we didn't dare ask anything. On the third day, the medical examination report came out, and the enlistment notice followed. ”
Tang Zefang said that when the enlisted students gathered in the school playground and set off, the parents did not give up, and they cried in hindsight; the students were crazy and happily sat on the "open-top car" driving to Yunnan.
The car was hot and stuffy, there were no seats, and everyone had to sit on the floor. I don't know how many days and nights the car drove, and when I arrived in Kunming, Tang Zefang felt dizzy as soon as she got out of the car and fell to the ground. But this little girl who still wears a red scarf is not scared away by the current hardships at all, but has become more and more determined, concentrating on training in Kunming, and then transferred to Beijing for internship and work.
In 1965, according to the instructions of Premier Zhou, Tang Zefang followed the special detachment set up by the ministry and transferred to the current Jiuquan Satellite Launch Base.
Tang Zefang said that the base is located in the endless Gobi Desert, and the conditions are extremely harsh.
At night, the warriors lived in adobe "dens"; during the day, there were often sandstorms that covered the sky, instantly turning female comrades into "Cinderella". In the desert, the water source is extremely precious, and the face washing water is also used to wash clothes and feet, and bathing is a luxury that I dare not think of...
However, even the barren Gobi also has sand jujube blossoms, although they are clustered and inconspicuously small, but they have their own fragrance. Like a sand jujube flower, Tang Zefang and her comrades-in-arms braved the heat and cold for the cause of national defense, endured loneliness and monotony, and dedicated their youth and bloomed their dreams on the Gobi!
In 1963, Tang Zefang (front row center) and his comrades-in-arms were awarded the third class of collective merit and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion
"The chief once taught us to be loyal to the party, build an 'invisible great wall' where the country needs it, and be willing to be an unsung hero." Tang Zefang said that she has always kept this sentence in her heart, and therefore forgot herself for the sake of the public and forgot her family for the sake of the country.
In 1967, she and her comrade-in-arms Zhang Hongli held a "revolutionary wedding" at the base – no flowers, wine and sweets, only the applause, laughter and blessings of their comrades-in-arms; without the wedding vows, the two publicly recited Chairman Mao's "Serving the People" in Chairman Mao's "Old Three Articles", and regarded the common revolutionary goal as the Sea Oath Mountain Alliance.
When the children grow up, they take their parents to take new wedding photos
After marriage, the two understood each other, supported each other, and worked hard. In Tang Zefang's memory, he has been in the military for 27 years, and his vacation has not exceeded 6 times, two of which are to return to Chongqing to give birth to children, and the Spring Festival has never returned home to reunite with his parents.
"The children are left-behind children, living with their grandparents. Later, the troops built a kindergarten in the gorge of Yuzhong County, Gansu Province, and Lao Zhang wanted to take the children with him for two years and send them back after they went to primary school. At that time, he returned to Chongqing to pick up his children, his son was four and a half years old, his daughter was two and a half years old, and he had never met his father. Someone said to the child, 'Your father is back', and the children didn't believe it, didn't dare to recognize it, but just pointed to the direction of the photo wall on the second floor and said, 'Mom and Dad are upstairs'. ”
Speaking of this, Tang Zefang wiped his tears vigorously.
Zhang Hongli has a unique job - to color black and white photos of his home
In "The Age of Awakening", the revolutionary martyr Chen Yannian has a line, "Only by giving up a small family can we take care of everyone!" ”
Tang Zefang was deeply impressed. No matter how many times she picked up the lights and fought at night and worked overtime, she had no regrets; only when it came to the growth, education and companionship of her children, she was full of regret, "As party members and cadres, we do our best." As parents, we don't fulfill our responsibilities. Although Lao Zhang and I are ashamed, we do not regret it! ”
"A mistake in a secret mistake misleads our enemy; a mistake in one point is lost in the fighter plane; a word difference makes the head roll." These three sentences were condensed with blood lessons during the long and dangerous war years. The soldiers of the hidden front never went to the front, they hid in the rear, "listening to the wind" in the silent place, and winning a decisive victory.
The so-called things are done in secret, and words are leaked. Mr. and Mrs. Tang Zefang are engaged in the party's core secret and confidential work, and no one is allowed to expose it, so the couple strictly abides by the confidentiality requirements of "not telling their parents at the top and not showing their children at the bottom." After spending 27 spring and autumn in the army, they had little contact with relatives and friends, and none of their relatives and friends knew their true identity!
In 1986, Tang Zefang, as a deputy regimental officer, changed careers and returned to Yuzhong District.
She has successively served as deputy director of Weiwei Road Subdistrict, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Shangqingsi Subdistrict, and deputy director of the Yuzhong District Family Planning Commission. In 1994, she became the director of the State Secrets Bureau of Yuzhong District, and returned to her beloved hidden front.
In the years of revolutionary war, secrecy meant safeguarding life and victory; in the period of peaceful construction, secrecy meant safeguarding security and development. Tang Zefang believes that secrecy work will always be a lifeline for the party and the state. In the Internet era, hostile forces are doing everything possible to intercept China's economic, military, political, scientific and technological intelligence, and we must tighten the "string" of secrecy and must not loosen it.
Whether it is the "listener" of the military confidential institutions or the "female number one" of the chongqing-central secrecy front, Tang Zefang has adhered to the hidden front for more than 30 years and is fully worthy of the "loyalty" word evaluated by her husband -- loyalty to the country and loyalty and love for the party.
The wall full of honorary awards is golden, and the most touching thing is a "Four No Spirits" commemorative medal, which has military insignia, headphones, Morse code, radar and other elements, engraved with 16 words: "Invisible front, selfless dedication, unsung hero, supreme glory." ”
From Shen Anna, Huang Mulan, and then to Tang Zefang, generations of secretive people have written their own "nameless answer sheets" with their lives, youth, and wisdom. Between the mountains and rivers and the heavens and the earth, the names and surnames of the kings are immortal.
