Previously, due to various reasons, Luobi Village became a famous "backward village" in the Lizhigou area, and the long-term poverty of "material and spiritual" made Luobi Village more and more "bad". The village party branch invited teachers to carry out horticultural training for the villagers, relying on the Banling Hot Spring and Vanke next to the village, more than 100 villagers quickly achieved employment, with a monthly salary of about 3,000 yuan. In addition, the village party branch also actively connected the villagers with vocational training such as electricians, housekeeping, and pastries, which suddenly activated the enthusiasm of the villagers.
When combing the collective economy, Liu Yi found that when the Banling Hot Spring Project acquired land that year, the houses supported by the village committee were vacant for many years, so he and the "two committees" of the village discussed renting out the houses. Looking for projects and investors, the vacant house has now become a school, and the rent has brought more than 300,000 yuan of collective income to the village a year. The per capita income of villagers has increased year by year, and has exceeded 20,000 yuan in 2020.
While leading the villagers on the road to prosperity, Liu Yi has fulfilled his duties in the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. When the epidemic struck last year, Liu Yi took the initiative to give up the rest and the Spring Festival holiday, and took the lead in the front line of prevention and control. For three consecutive days, he went to the homes of villagers who wanted to do funerals to persuade them to keep their funerals simple and prevent the spread of the epidemic; contacted buyers from many parties to help villagers sell 50,000 kilograms of cord peppers that were slow to sell due to the impact of the epidemic; took the initiative to run errands for the isolated masses to "buy" daily necessities; checked the village volunteer post card after 12 o'clock at night many times, and sent hot water and instant noodles to the volunteers. During that time, due to too many contact with suspected patients, Liu Yi was isolated alone in the rough room under renovation, and she was not reunited with her family for nearly two months.
When the epidemic situation was controlled and Sanya resumed work and production in an all-round way, Liu Yi won 4500 yuan from the funds of the rural revitalization task force to buy gasoline for the villagers, pump water to fight drought, and coordinated with the district agricultural and rural bureau to dig wells to help the masses resume work and production to ensure that the income was increased; in order to ensure that the resumption of work and production and epidemic prevention and control were not wrong, Liu Yi coordinated with relevant units to win hundreds of masks for front-line workers; when the school resumed, Liu Yi himself funded the purchase of masks and alcohol to donate to the Luobi Primary School.
