In the history of the development of fine arts, oil painting carries countless themes and contents, and it has also become the sustenance of countless artists' thoughts and emotions and reflecting social life. In the creation of oil painting, the dynamics of the characters play an important role in the picture, and are the bridge of communication between the painter and the viewer.

Works by Robert Lieberes
Successful portrait creation often accurately reveals the inner character characteristics through the portrayal of the shape of the character, so as to achieve the purpose of "conveying the gods by form". In order to achieve this aesthetic effect, it is often depicted from the two states of static and dynamic of the object.
However, the depiction of static portraits is often static and disposable depiction of human portraits, which inevitably makes the character image of the pen with stereotyped and single characteristics. In order to avoid the inadequacy of this kind of character depiction, it is necessary to appropriate dynamic depiction, so that the portrait depiction of the character is dynamic and static, staggered, and mutually reinforcing, so as to achieve the aesthetic effect of "conveying god with form" and "having both form and god", and Michelangelo, the first to achieve this effect in the history of art, is the first Torino of the Renaissance.
The dynamic rhythm in Renaissance and Baroque art had a great influence on the creation of the American painter Robert Lieberes, who was particularly interested in the Renaissance ideal that the human figure was "the measure of everything", so he has always been committed to discovering and portraying the dynamics of the human being, showing the complex spiritual emotions inherent in human beings, and personally feeling that the styles of Michelangelo and Rubens are expressed in his works.
Inspired by the centuries-old knowledge and skills of his masters, Robert strives to combine his deep knowledge of anatomy, art history, and techniques to create paintings in a variety of different medium fields, including painting, watercolor, drawing, and sculpture. Robert's figures, known for their accurate grasp of dynamic images and superb painting skills, were selected as "living masters" by the Center for The Revival of the Arts.
Robert earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from George Washington University, where he initially attended on a baseball scholarship and later graduated with an arts scholarship. In April 2003, Robert won the Portrait Society of America Award at the annual International Portrait Competition.
His work has also been published in magazines such as Artist Magazine, International Artist, American Art Collector, Artist UK and China Collection. His work "The Fifth Circle" won first place in the Imaginary Realism category at the ARC Salon in 2016 and the Collection Magazine Award in 2017. He is an honorary member of the Sino-American Oil Painting Artists Alliance and has participated in exhibitions in New York and Beijing.
