Today, I revisited "Brain Agent" with my child, and we have watched this film no less than five times. It mainly tells the story of how the five little agents in the protagonist Riley's mind - happiness, sadness, fear, disgust, and anger - affect her life experience, forming her unique character and life trajectory.
Just as Lele has been trying to be the dominant person in his mind in order to protect Riley's happy memory, many people also want to make happy emotions their own dominant and reject other emotions.
In fact, each emotion has its own unique function, and one is indispensable. They are all products of human evolution, and they were created to make human beings better survive and reproduce.

"Worry" is an emotional manifestation of unmet needs, which can arouse the attention of others to themselves and allow needs to be met. For example, a small baby cries loudly to get his mother to feed him in time or change his diapers. A girl is out of love and full of sadness, which makes girlfriends come to comfort her, and the boyfriend may change his mind when he sees it.
The emotion of "fear" arises to avoid dangerous things. In ancient times, people and animals lived in the forest, and if a person saw ferocious animals such as wolves and tigers, without any reaction, it would become a delicacy in the mouth of animals. Because of the emotion of fear, you can prepare to escape early and save your life.
"Disgust" appears to reject things that are not good for oneself, which is also a manifestation of protecting oneself. Very early, people pick wild vegetables and wild fruits to live, after the first taste of brightly colored mushrooms, some people were poisoned to death, and the rest of the people will have a sense of disgust when they see this mushroom later, and will no longer touch it, which also protects their own lives.
When people encounter something that is not good for them, they will have a reaction of fighting or fleeing. If "fear" and "disgust" are manifestations of escape, then "anger" is the manifestation of war. Shock the enemy with a powerful and aggressive emotion, and then take action to destroy the enemy.
The last one is everyone's favorite music. It's a feeling where expectations have been satisfied, and it's a feeling that everyone is looking for.
The environment is much safer now than in ancient times, but these emotions, which are important for survival and reproduction, have all been preserved and continue to play their role in the new environment.
For example, if you're walking down the road and you see a big truck coming at you, your heart beats faster and you run away. Although there are no enemies that make you fight directly with your life, modern life is full of stress, and you can also relieve the pressure by venting your anger.
Nowadays, every emotion also exists to make you better adapt to modern life.
Now that I think about it, is every member of the Mind Task Force very kind and cute? Is it like our eyes, ears, nose, tongue and mouth, not one can be less?
So let's accept each emotion, let it play a role in a specific situation, and better adapt to life.
