In the winter of 2016, Li Wei, who had been wandering outside for many years, returned to his hometown of Xingguang Village Eighth Team in Ligang Town, Helan County, and everything in front of him stunned him. Originally, there were 52 families in the village, and only 4 elderly people were left with old candles. The dilapidated houses of the people who moved away whistled in the cold wind, as if telling the forgotten past. Seeing that the village he grew up in was about to disappear, Li Wei was very sad in his heart, and a sense of desolation overwhelmed him.
Li Wei's father's ancestral home is Chongqing. In 1954, the new China, which was in ruins and waiting to be rebuilt, issued a call for a large number of organized migration from Beijing, Shanghai, and major provinces and cities across the country to the Great Northwest and border ethnic minority areas. At that time, Helan County, which belonged to Gansu Province, had more than 300,000 mu of reclaimable wasteland to be developed, ushering in tens of thousands of "urban immigrants" in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Henan and other places.
Li Wei's grandfather, grandmother, and more than 2,000 other Beijing immigrants traveled thousands of miles by train, car, and ship to Xinjian Township in Helan County in 1955 to "settle down." In the following 60 years, the area of the newly built township has been adjusted several times, and the name has also undergone the transformation of "Jingxing Township", "Jingxing Brigade", "Local State-owned Jingxing Farm" to "Jingxing Farm", and "Jingxing Farm" has been inherited from 1980 to the present. "Jingxing" means "a bright star in Beijing, shining on the land of Ningxia".
Before the arrival of this group of immigrants, although the location of Jingxing Farm was close to the Yellow River, it was uninhabited and deserted. After generations of hard work of Jingxing people, the former desert beach has become the hometown of high-quality rice in Helan County.
Subsequently, Li Wei's parents moved to the nearby Xingguang Village Eighth Team in Ligang Town. Li Wei grew up here. Every plant and tree in the village has left a good memory of his childhood. In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards, many people have moved to the city, and most of the people in the former lively villages have gone to empty houses. Could it be that such a village with its own childhood memories has just disappeared? After much thought, Li Wei finally decided that he would transform the place and bring it back to life.
He shut himself in his house for days and nights to make plans. Finally, a development plan to 2030 was finally proposed. But his plan was not optimistic. What to do? Did this make this plan of your own fail? Li Wei, who had been unwilling to accept defeat since he was a child, decided to do it himself! But if he wanted to take out his own money to carry out the transformation of the village, the family thought that he was fooling around, and no one supported him. Li Wei put down everything at hand, and plunged into the village alone, repairing dilapidated houses, renovating roads, planting trees, and spending all day gray. His parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law looked at him very distressed and offered to help him. In the end, the actions of their family touched the surrounding villagers, and everyone slowly supported him to build an ecological farm.
In the process of construction, Li Wei continued to improve and perfect his planning plan. This greatly increased the cost, and he had planned to invest three or four million, but now he has invested more than ten million. I didn't have enough money, so I borrowed it from my friends. Li Wei said that he was almost exhausted when he was most difficult, and he could not tell his family that he had to sell his house and car at a low price and silently insist.
When the reporter asked him about his efforts to transform the village, was it worth it for him to do so? Li Wei said, "Worth! Who don't we do about this? This is the mission of our generation! ”
Li Wei's rural transformation is not simply to build a homestay and attract some guests, but to create an ecological farm at a deep level. He organically grows all the local rice and vegetables so that people can come here to eat the taste of real grains and vegetables. People come here not only for simple leisure, but for a journey and dream, to feel and experience the true face of life. In the village, the reporter met Zhang Guowei, a teacher in Yinchuan, who was taking his wife and six-year-old daughter Wenwen to experience rural life here. He told reporters that our generation and our next generation live in the cities, and we don't know what the countryside is like. This time the harvest is full, and we and the children understand the origin of life. In addition, the air here is fresh and quiet, as if it has a sense of paradise. He said that in the future, he will often bring his family and friends here to experience the pastoral life. It is understood that last year, the folk village received more than 15,000 tourists and operating income of 770,000 yuan.
This year, Li Wei continued to do good things, in April he was elected as the village secretary and village director, and in May, he successfully cooperated with "Longping Farm" and became the only "Longping Farm" in Ningxia. After the completion of the "Longping Farm", it will greatly improve the quality and value of local agricultural and sideline products and truly realize modern agriculture; in June, several townspeople came back to cooperate with him and invested 50 million yuan to jointly build this beautiful countryside.
